Sounds to me like you had a good deal. For $80, really, you cannot expect a writer to take too much time on the paper and mind you, I am not talking about the so called "best writer available" because that would be expecting too much. No credible writer, who has been around for a while would write that price especially because your $10/page includes the company's commission and in customwritings' case its probably 95% which leaves your writer with around $0.5/page. Added to that, (and this is a pity to the poor writer), your complaint about the C grade you got has handed him a 300% fine which means that he now owes the company $15. Well, if you do the math you can see that in total customwritings has made a total of $95. Still surprised at how such companies manage to stay in business?

The last time I used Questia, its subscription was about $100 per year but I did not find it helpful. If you can get your hand on Emerald, your research work is half done because the amount of journals and books available in that place is just phenomenal. I think I now spend half the time I used to spend when I just had Google (and Questia). The best way of getting access to an Emerald account is via a student but that would mean building a good rapport so as to gain trust, which is not a hard thing if you always meet your end of the bargain.

It really depends on why you are asking for a refund. If it is a case of non-delivery or plagiarism, you have an upper hand (it's almost automatic) but quality or something that needs a subjective review may be tricky and in fact, the pay processor may just reject your claims.

If your assignment is resold to another student who submits it via turnitin before you, then you are in trouble because the paper will turn out 100% plagiarized. Dealing with this is both a matter of good choice and good luck in the sense that you are never fully in control of what a company or writer will do once your transaction is complete. And forget about violation of contracts because once your paper is flagged as plagiarized you cannot explain yourself out of it by citing an agreement you had with a third party about your purchased paper not being resold.

There is no much difference between $3 and $6 so you better off just keeping off such mean companies. In my opinion, such low rates are only justifiable if you are starting out because at that time you barely understand the industry. Uvo introduced this option sometime back and I was quite happy only to realize that it was meant to allow the desperate ones to place a lower bid. Some companies still pay well without having a bid system in place although most allow writers to write informal notes if they feel the task deserves a higher compensation. If you are talking about Viva Voce, I have seen quite a number of requests from students who ask for "summaries" and anything that can help them internalize the paper. For example, they may ask for a log detailing the research process so that they are able to demonstrate that they took time to construct the paper. In fact, I do not think this is a practice confined to the UK or US-it is a general practice in most Western Universities because how else would the originality of a paper be established.

I don't get as much traffic as I would if I kept working for companies but its better because I seem to be working smart now. My charges rarely go below $25/page, which means that I do little work but earn more money. As of now, I can't even imagine that I ever worked for $10/page and I have even swore to eat my heart should I go back to writing for the thankless companies that I worked for before.

You may create unique assignments all the time but the core concepts of the course remain the same, which is why it is easier for students to lift portions from previously done essays or other sources. Turnitin is just a deterrent and does not give an assurance that plagiarism will not occur. In any case, any student who really wants to plagiarize can buy a writecheck account and use to keep matching text levels to an acceptable level. Ultimately, fighting plagiarism will be more about the spirit and not the letter of the many rules formulated by universities and educators to fight the vice.

Undergrad papers are much easier if you are writing within an area you've studied because you can simply regurgitate what you already know.

As for Postgrad, you'll need to do more research because most of them demand use of theories and concepts that you first need to have already mastered before doing your research.

This is the reason it is quite difficult to write a postgrad paper in an area you are not familiar with.

Also, most postgrad papers demand use of more sources which again means that there is more legwork on it unlike undergrad where in most cases 1source/page is mostly more than sufficient.

Under pressure, I can even write 5 pages/hour if it is an undergrad paper (good quality) but I cannot say the same of postgrad.

A few years ago (3 to be precise) when I joined this industrsy $10 was the average with those paying $8 per page coming across as being mean. I also remember EW being ridiculed for paying writers a range of between $4 and $5 during the low season. Well, I thought it couldn't get worse but I was wrong because it now appears that $5 is a decent pay for the high season and $2 for the low season. This industry will never shock me and in fact I am waiting to see them paying in the order of cents. Meanwhile, the poor client continues to pay the same high rates as they did when the cpp rates were high.
