I am sure in some of such companies, in their terms and conditions, they will cleverly add some clause to the effect that they offer "model papers" to guide students in developing their own, "custom", papers for submission to their colleges. And they will require clients to agree to such terms when placing the order. But things become more murky where the client has only requested for editing or proofreading services, and the company proceeds to sell such a paper to another party later.

So your definition of scam is someone who informs that s/he cannot handle your paper? Even where s/he refunds your money? @oxipital what I can confirm is that the company (if it is a company) does not pay its writers (I have proof if you want one).If you refer to my previous post, you will see I was also asking the same question as you are. Please do not work for them. I know they have a large supply of orders, but I guess it is because they swindle their writers out of their earnings. I have worked for them and got very positive feedback from customers (I also have proof of this), but when it came to the time to honour their part of the contract, they just started playing PR stunts (need I say I have proof?). The organization is a.k.a essaywriters.net=writers.ph. Their support calls from two locations, kent and Newcastle; both in Wilimngton,DE.

You can add to that list, Freelancercareers.com. They are one and the same company - i.e essaywriters=freelancercareers.com=writers.ph. They will never pay. I am not very sure of their exact location, but the numbers their support team uses to call, are registered in Wilmington, Delaware. At least I am sure of two of these numbers, one is registered in Kent the other in Newcastle. So it may seem that, at times, the scammers are residents in the U.S. If you have information about their clients, which you can get if you are attentive to detail, you can warn them that they may NEVER use any "product" for which you have not been paid. Showing the client that you have not been paid for their orders is simple, their website used to provide one with that capability, that is, before they locked you out.

My (simple) question about freelancercareers.com is in two parts: (a) do they really pay? (b) do they pay on a timely basis?
