Essaybay, what do you think?

Dear EW_writer
Customer paid them and the Escrow was sent. However, after their technical problems last week, the same order was given to another writer without informing me or the customer. However, the order was again placed back to me by the customer however, this time ESCROW was pending.. May be this is a technical error however, it has been a week now and despite our calls and emails nobody is responding. I don't think i business which claims to be most transparent in the industry can be so evasive.

Do Essaybay pay to its writers? are they punctual in payments?

Now THAT is funny. See Post #221 for the punch line.

As soon as the client releases the payment from escrow, writers can transfer payments to their own accounts instantaneously (but I think there's a 30-day holding period for new accounts).

Customer paid them and the Escrow was sent.

I see. If this happened before you uploaded the paper, then you should have waited for the money to be placed back to your escrow account before you sent it. If it happened after you submitted the work then I agree that essay bay should resolve the matter.

essaybay is the same company as ukessays.com? They're both owned by academic answers it seems. Sorry I haven't scrolled through 6 pages to see if this has been posted before.

They are most inefficient ( or may be look so).. You will get no email replies from them, whenever you call them and anyone picks up, you will always hear that i am not the concerned person. concerned persons are busy... email them and they will respond to you.. and they never do..

I have been working with EW and other sites and they are at least excellent in replying back in solving your issues but ESSAY BAY does not seems to interested.

My assessment is that they are probably biggest fraud on the net.

I have requested my fund withdrawal a week ago but nothing has been sent to me yet. They even do not reply. seems to be biggest frauds... there business model though is a copy of ebay but they probably lack the integrity.. Is any one in UK can make a complain to authorities specially Securities and Exchange Commission to have a check on their parent company? I can provide technical assistance in this regard.

I think I've just uncovered a scam by one of essaybay's new writers. Recently, this writer climbed to a high rank. However, it seems that the positive feedback that he's earned all come from clients that he himself generated. This is purely speculation at this point though... given the atrocious grammar of his introductory message, I'm sure he'll get bumped down soon enough.

On other matters, anyone care to talk about the best writer they've found on the site so far? ^___^

It's just an assumption mind you, and I don't really have the motivation to verify it since I'm currently swamped with work.

Me? Why, I'm good but I can't say I'm the best. :D

You rising popularity on the site proves that your style of writing is immensely appreciated.

I'm currently writing for some companies and am aware that writers are preferred (by the company as well as clients) only when they deliver quality work.

I think that principle is applicable to any type of service.

Hahaha.. the writer I was talking about seems to be still at it. >.<

Thanks.

Hey all,

I'm sorry I've not responded to these posts sooner - they were brought to my attention yesterday. I'm very concerned that the customer service has been below standard and our programmer Liam has spent today putting together a training program for the Customer Service team to make sure everyone knows what they are doing.

If anyone does have any issues with pay or anything else that are still outstanding, our telephone number is +44 1623 499069 (just 01623 499 069 if you're in the UK). If you're having any trouble getting through, remember the opening hours are GMT 9am - 9pm Mon - Fri and 10am - 7pm Saturday.

EW, do you have that writer's name (the one who seems to be posting projects to give him or herself feedback)? I will definitely check them out.

I'm hoping the site is working okay for everyone now - if not please feel free to shout at me and I'll get right on it! A big redesign is in the pipeline and feedback on what you love and hate about it is very welcome.

Jen ;-)

If you pay cheap you get cheap. Why are people here so stupid? Anyone wanti ng a good essay by a good writer should be prepared to pay for it - and any writer who cannot even write (despite all those pretty paper qualifications) should shut up and realise they are not as talented or intelligent as they thought.

By the way, this site is totally unrealiable - like all internet sites - and is run by scam essay site owner, and the main contibuters seem to be bitter ex-writers. Ho hum. This site means nothing at all, actually. It is a scam. Beware writers.

I see most of these posts are quire old but having read them I am sorry to report that essaybay continues to be RUBBISH! I was a writer for them and have literally been cheated out of a lot of money, and essaybay won't even answer any of the ridiculous amounts of emails I have sent them, or even give me a telephone number of an admin I can speak to.

I have given up on them completely. . short of summoning them to court.
A word to the wise, leave this company well alone and go for many of the other companies out there.
any questions about particulars please ask

I would second you, as I'm sure many would, in taking essaybay to the authorities. It seems like they we people thousands. What do you think?

Jennifer,
I have had enormous problems with brief 02052 which i completed and have not received any returned phonecalls or emails from your admin. I am owed some money still for the project. let me know what i can do please

Essaybay has taken my $100 too for a brief which is never being paid to me. they are biggest lies so far.... truly pathetic service as they never reply..... There is going to be a rival to essaybay with lot more improvements. I recently got a marketing email from one site claiming to be a rival of essaybay and having better and more flexible functionality than essaybay. I don't remember the name exactly. Anyone heard of any competitor of essaybay?

Essaybay has taken my $100

I never had a problem with them as payment was always processed whenever I requested. However, I once tried to contact them to report a customer who was posting the same project over and over again (Escrow was always pending) and they never picked up. The customer was a scammer ... Maybe you are in the same situation or has the customer actually processed payment?

Do they pay through UK GBP BACS?

Essaybay will soon out of competition because of its serious stubbornness in not replying to any messages either from customers or their writers. They are not going to survive for too long even if they pay on time because there are lot of other qualitative issues which they need to address if they want to stay in the game... My serious to them would be to be serious if you are in the trade.

There is going to be a competitor of Essaybay which is going to exploit all the weaknesses of Essaybay because they have left so much room that anyone can easily throw them out of business.

Chacha, and everyone else, I really appreciate your comments. We don't owe people thousands - remember that anyone can withdraw money instantly through paypal. But there are some payments requested by wire transfer that have taken far too long to process because of a lack of customer support.

And on that topic, I think what many posts in this forum have identified is that we have a real issue with our customer support generally. We've put in place a training program so that our customer team better understand the site and can deal with people's queries but I also agree that there are fundamental flaws with the site which need addressing.

We need to get the payments more automated when they are by wire transfer (paypal ones are instant but I think then you lose a bit of money to Paypal). At the moment, an essaybay admin has to approve them before they are sent over to our finance controller for processing, which seems like a ridiculously long process.

We also need to have better security for writers and buyers, and make the escrow system clearer so buyers don't release the money until writers produce good work, and writers don't start work until buyers put money in escrow.

I think also the escrow money should be released automatically if the buyer doesn't get in touch to say there's an issue. As writers are waiting for it for ages and there's no definite time that the support team step in and release the money for them.

As EW identified, some people have found a way to cheat the rankings system by creating accounts as buyers and writers. We need to clamp down on this in a major way.

I agree we have issues with EssayBay - it's a great idea but at the same time as Chacha says, we'll soon be out of business if we don't take action. We have two people - myself as marketing manager and Carly, our deputy SEO manager and usability expert - planning some substantial changes to the site. I'd be really interested to hear any other comments on what you hate, what problems you've had, features you'd like to see.

I agree with this proposal entirely. It doesn't need to be a short period. Like, I'm even willing to wait a month. I just don't want to keep spending money to call you guys just so issues like this can get fixed. Things like clients not caring enough for the writer to release the money after they get their paper don't happen all the time, but they do happen.

So are there ANY essay sites/ or paper mill sites that ACTUALLY provide good service with non-plagiarized and quality work? Does anyone know of any.... I know we are only here to provide negative feedback for these fraud companies (as I will do also), but I have a very important paper to do and I need a writer ASAP... Can anyone help?????

Mod, why is Jennifer allowed to conduct MARKETING in this forum and continually post her COMMERCIAL email address in multiple threads? She should post her marketing garbage on her own site, not here. At the very least, please black-out her email address in all posts.

Can anyone help?????

Recommendations are not allowed, neither via postings nor private message. Anyone who violates these rules is assuredly an agent of the site that he/she "recommends," so you cannot trust a word that he/she communicates to you, anyway.

When mods block out emails, they replace them with asterisks.

Nonsense. Stop "speaking out of your *ss." Mods take a variety of actions, only ONE of which is to replace characters with asterisks. Mods can also, completely at their discretion:

* completely remove commercial content from posts;

* move posts to the "to be deleted" section.

That makes at least THREE options-just off the top of my head-that I have personally witnessed occur.

How many times can EW_writer possibly get schooled in one day? Geez, take a break, E-dub!
