Rather than making people shut up, it appears the use of "STFU" simply encourages responses. These findings have important implications for posters in computer-mediated forums who want to achieve their goal of actually getting people to shut up. In fact, there are 70 more instances of the use of STFU in various EssayScam.org forums besides the following, suggesting that the use of STFU is ineffective and should be abandoned in favor of "go to hell," "kiss my ass," or "bite me" as the situation dictates.

There's a growing body of research that confirms students with dyslexia experience difficulties with language skills, especially reading, spelling and writing, so there may be some writing assistance available at your school. I didn't mean to be abstruse. I meant specifically that writers who get scammed "over and over again" because they provide work product to clients without being paid for it in advance are stupid, at least in my opinion. I can't think of any other profession (except maybe emergency medicine where it is required by law) where practitioners provide their services without payment in advance. Your lawyer isn't going to wait for you to die to get paid for the will he wrote for you, and writers shouldn't have to wait for hell to freeze over to get paid for their work either. As I say, Einstein characterized such behavior as insanity, but what did he know? I think it's just stupid. As the adage states, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me."

This should become abundantly apparent after a single incident. Perhaps "stupid" was not the right word (although it is). Maybe a better word is "insanity":

I read some job-finding tips a few years ago and I remember that one way of getting a job with a company you like is to just keep applying. This doesn't mean sending the same cover letter and resume every week or month over and over, but it does mean that you can contact a company from time to time on a regular basis with new information or to remind them that you are still ENORMOUSLY interested in working for them. If the company is geographically proximate and you are desperate, you can always visit their human resource department every week until they finally just get tired of seeing you hanging around all the time asking for a job (or getting your emails if you don't live nearby) and hire you (the "squeaky wheel" approach). Clearly, this approach requires some time and chutzpah.

How many of the English-speaking writers write in another language? Instead of criticism, I feel that we deserve credit for working in a different language. I hope my fellow writers will consider this point.

As I said elsewhere, I wish I was smart enough to write in another language. It's taken me almost 50 years to get a handle on English, and even after living in a French-speaking country for 3 years, I can only speak enough French to get in trouble. For those with the talent, I've been wondering if there aren't niche opportunities available for academic writers in Swahili, Mandarin, Portuguese, and Arabic, for example.
