who cares $5 per page in Kenya is a fair deal!!!

what makes this deal unfair is that they charge the customers almost $40 a page and provide them with your writings

I fear if we exit the writing industry, a majority writing agencies will egress the market.

this day will be worth a celebration

i think your trolling, mr. rabidwriter, but i can give you a clue about e_paarass@hotmail: they aren't gonna get any sane clients
smirk
Feb 15, 2011

I want to add you into my team.

that's gonna be a perfect match

If you get an account with them you will be damn lucky.

according to the past threads, the luckiest ones manage to secure an account with 4writers

From what perspective did you make the judgment? Own writer, own judge? It's uncouth. Let others do it please

though i have no idea what "uncouth" is supposed to mean in the given context, i'm sure you are able to provide a fair judgement

Some, but majority do stop. How are Kenyan writers rated there? I personally come from Kenya.

i hate to tell you, but in eastern europe kenyans are generally rated as a cheap workforce. guess why

You should stop assuming.

should i stop posting as well? some of my posts are rather entertaining and a few of them are even helpful, which doesn't apply to any of yours

Whether you come from Eastern Europe or Kenya is no problem. I have been scammed severally and have loathed the companies set in your country.

a little bit of geography: eastern europe is not a country.

the problem is that people in europe, no matter eastern or western, usually stop working when they are not paid, i suspect that people in the us do the same, but kenyans don't - check some other threads for the proof

What do I do now? Sell accounts.

i assume that soon we will see admin accounts being sold here

General Talk / Backend/interface for writers [28]

Simple likes and dislikes would be sufficient, improvements they would like to see even better, but to be honest any straight answer would be gratefully accepted.

you see, the companies, attempting to maintain the balance between facilitating their clients' requests and not treating their writers like virtual slaves bestowed with the grace of receiving the orders from them, receive hardly no attention here.

this board is majorly used for discussing the scam companies, marketing/advertising, providing support services, trolling and exchanging the compliments

skippy
btw, you may consider buying an account, it looks like now is a black friday for this type of merchandise

you should only remember: if the price is more than 5 usd, you're being ripped off.

Heck, even 9 dollars is not reasonable either.

General Talk / Backend/interface for writers [28]

you say it as if there's something wrong with drinking

Without breaching any confidentiality agreements of your current or past employers does anyone want to discuss the writers interface/s used by various companies?.

do you think someone would be interested in composing a project specification for you?

Accounts are being sold and that is it!

this is another instance of kenyan logic

Please be informed that people create multiple accounts.

i understand when such things happen to domain names, but fail to understand the purpose of having multiple accounts

his landlord has kicked him out and confiscated his household goods because he has been unable to pay rent for the last couple of months.

in which country can such things happen?

if 4writers was his only employer he should be receiving the unemployment benefit

Feb 09, 2011

I was just hoping that he/she will be touched.

this question was rhetorical. it's clear that you were serious about it.

i'd like to get the answers to the first two:

why you keep working while not being paid? and

don't you think that doing offline work even if it is the janitorial service would be more profitable?

i think these answers are very important for getting an understanding of the kenyan mentality

Student A: "X company was first on Google,

this refers to seo, not smo. do you know the difference?

i didn't say you're a half-wit, i said your ideas are looney. i usually refrain from insults.

Well what this thread lacks in detail it makes up in laughs.

not only this one, almost all threads, where editor75 or 2MockingBird used to post, have a
touch of irony and nonsense

smirk
If you were aware of the income certain referal links generate you wouldn't think it strange at all.

i am, i know that's quite lucrative. i refer to the professional growth, however planning on launching the writing service can be considered as such.
smirk
Feb 08, 2011

My guess is he's already involved somehow.

i kinda doubt that. if editor75 is somehow offering his/her services directly to the clients, what would be the point for posting the same half-witted ideas over and over again?

2. concentrate on building word-of-mouth advertising.

nowadays it's called smo or web presence
smirk
Feb 08, 2011

why? plz tell me why does this happen?

people are not paid for months and keep working... don't you think that doing offline work even if it is the janitorial service would be more profitable?

i'm pretty sure the papers you used to provide were mostly articles from wikipedia processed through a synonimizer, but still why would you bother?

do you really think that even if the owner sees this thread, they will brush away a tear and release all the money they owe your "friend"?
smirk
Feb 08, 2011

I suggest you think of two major factors that will separate you from the new "top dogs," who are arguably worse than the old ones.

why don't you start your own company, where you implement all that stuff you keep talking about?

i'll tell why: because you don't have a slightest idea of how the business is done.
smirk
Feb 08, 2011

I'm from Australia and have called myself a webmaster for the last dozen years..

this is very strange, you've been in business for twelve years and didn't move any further than promoting the referral links
smirk

2MockingBird

i've given an argument to support my assertions. do you see the difference?

my post: they are **** or **** because ****

your post: they are not
smirk
Feb 07, 2011

The problem is that I'm not sure whether they have a specialized writer in English Literature or not.

english literature is much easier to handle than engineering or chemistry.

this means that the majority of companies have such writers.

talking about the one in question, the writers they have must be either unqualified or insane.

hope this helps
smirk
Feb 07, 2011

skippy

generally yes.

in most cases "editing" supposes that you'll have to re-write completely a bunch of nonsense written by someone unqualified and the problem of "to-be-edited" papers/projects is not in the language, but in the content, as the previous author may not have a single idea about what they are writing about.

as to the editing in general, i guess many freelancers would use the assistance of an educated native speaker, this would speed up the process and boost the quality. i would.
smirk
Feb 07, 2011

you must be kidding, it's a customer website for essaywriters, where average pricing rates rarely exceed 3 usd.

not a single sane or qualified person will ever bother to work at such rates.
smirk
Feb 04, 2011

I'm not sure about in the U.S. but in my country you are only able to obtain a masters and PhD qualification from a University.

this means that the website owners fail to see any difference between college and university

3. Your REAL name, REAL address, and REAL phone number. Thank you for being honest.

amazing, their credentials are nowhere to be found on their website, but they expect to be provided with real info

We will return the respect.

sounds promising

Synecdoche
will you return the respect for my review of your website (i tried to be objective)?

this can be done through answering a few questions posted in this thread
smirk
Feb 04, 2011

i've checked the website and here's my subjective feedback:

1) i couldn't identify the purpose of the sunflower flash intro, except annoying the visitors

2) no user/login area, which means that it has hardly no backend

3) no integrated payment gateway

4) no other ways to contact the owners except email

5) design and implementation are pretty good, but very simple

conclusion:

for a website belonging to an individual or a small team it looks like a pretty good one, for a website belonging to the company, recruiting freelancers and keeping commission for their services, it doesn't look like anything serious.

Finally, the 800 number listed on the whois info is apparently a toll free number held by a company that supplies numbers to companies in India--I don't know much about how this works, but a simple google of this number leads me to believe that it is ultimately connecting to someone in India.

why India? this is just a call forwarding service like this one - tollfreeforwarding.com

your location matters nothing for setting it up, this is only made to release your clients from paying the phone bills for calling you.

i haven't checked the website in question, i just fail to see how the fact of having an 800 number can be a bad sign

Is anybody skilled in IT here? Knows how to manage and set up a website? I could share my experiences, since I used to work for an essay company.

and this means "can someone develop a web-based application for me? i'll provide a screen shot of the writer's panel i took in return"

these dim-wits aren't intelligent enough to do the work, but they're cunning enough to steal the profits.

believe it or not, but those capable to launch a website (funding, registration, billing, staff recruitment, etc) are usually capable of typing up a couple of pages.

of course, this may not apply to coding or maths/physics assignments, but an admission essay or freshman's paper wouldn't be a big deal
smirk
Feb 01, 2011

It would appear then that anything below $2.5 doesn't make sense even for an ESL writer.

as you can see from this thread there are people ready to provide the papers at no cost per page and i'm sure it wouldn't be that hard to find some people eager to write for $1 or $0.7 per page

however, the issue of dumping has always been of interest to me.

perhaps, someone sticking to this strategy will enlighten me on this account.
what makes people, capable to produce something solid, keep working at ridiculous rates?

i'm sure the amount they make will not suffice to survive even on cuba.

I can't blame Idaho, h

you can't blame idaho for providing the unlucky students, who did pay their dues, with plagiarized papers and helping the website owners pocket more money?

i can

"only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and i'm not sure about the former" a. einstein

the place of all esl writers in the writing industry will take a long post to describe, but what is daylight clear "there should be no room for idaho"
smirk
Jan 31, 2011

Quite a good number of customers of some of these sites are international students and in fact request writers to make intentional mistakes.

idaho's sanity is questionable.
what i got from his posts is that he's not being paid by his employer and pays in kind by submitting plagiarized works in attempt to tarnish their reputation, which looks like a hard task as they don't seem to have any.

General Talk / Is poor essay quality a SCAM? [15]

this is called "double standard": dispatching a pack of dust instead of brazilian coffee is a crime, but delivering a senseless, plagiarized and ill-written paper instead of what was advertized is okay.

Only a moron would buy a car with no check if it drives

is this supposed to mean "don't buy anything online unless you wish to be ripped off"?

this promo is entirely off topic. i meant geeks=computer nerds

provided that true geeks rarely go for a degree, this idea has little commercial potential

Essay Services / NerdEssays.com ?? [17]

Nerdessays just doesn't make a good professional name. But, that is personal oppinion so it isn't very important. What is important is that the site is another scam.

perhaps they are, but the name sounds good to me.

geekessays would sound even better :)

there's no recipe that would apply to every other case

if you choose to go with a company:

1) check the website copy;
2) have a chat with support service or give them a call

if you choose to deal with a freelancer:

1) check the work samples;
2) ask to briefly list their views on your paper (2-3 sentences or a short itemized list)

if you feel that something is wrong while doing the preliminary verification, don't hesitate to quit
