I caution students about getting their essay done by the company and then submitting it for a grade. There is a possibility that the university will figure out that you paid for an essay and submitted it. What I suggest you do is use their paper only as a reference point for your own writing. If need be, you may paraphrase the paper to remove traces of the paid services in case the university runs a plagiarism check on it or some other validity test that would prove or disprove that you paid for the paper. Their service might be good enough to submit as your own, but there runs a very high risk of getting caught these days. Universities worldwide have been stepping up their anti essay mill movements because they caught students openly using the same during the pandemic lockdown. Try to avoid academic honesty problems by responsibly using the papers you pay for. Never submit it for a grade even if the writing company suggests you may do so.

Well, the company most certainly was not functioning in any legal manner. That is the assumption that one can come to since the online company has been shut down since it was last spoken of in this thread. Checking on the website url today, I found out that the company no longer owns the domain name and the files have been taken down from the host server, but not disconnected from the internet handshakes.

The fact that the url is still connected to the internet is what worries me. The same url could eventually be revived, this time in connection with a new company name taking its place. The old name then becoming an affiliate of the new company. I would not trust these people to not do that. They have everything to gain from using several url's in this business.

On what planet are essay writing services / essay mills legal? You already violate 17 state anti essay mill laws in the United States, along with several other UK and Australian laws. Legitimate anti essay mill laws passed by international governments that do not allow students to use essay writing services for grading purposes. This is an academic crime that you are openly encouraging. You are not even pretending to circumvent the laws, you are just openly violating it on an international law basis.

The AI does not have the potential to be a serious threat to the academic writers at this point, but it is fast getting to that possibility since the students are become more and more comfortable with using the program, which learns based upon the information given by the millions of students out there. Even the paid version of the program does not seem to deter them from continuing to use the AI. They do not fear the school threats about failing them in courses when they are found out to be using the system. Just like with hiring academic writers, the students will eventually learn to use the AI in a manner that will keep them protected from academic dishonesty problems.

As a former academic writer, I believe that ChatGPT and its conterparts is the way of the future. Human writers will still have their niche in academic writing but will have to compete with the value and security that creating papers using ChatGPT offers them. No threats of blackmail, no threats of exposure, just the need to actually apply a little writing themselves to remove the computer generated language and writing tone. The final reason they will use it more than human writers? It will only cost them $20 a month to create their papers. Now that, as any student would tell you, is value for money, even if they have to put in some elbow grease themselves.

Well, it seems you will get away with a slap on the wrist. It will all depend upon your admission of guilt and explanation of why it happened . Do not tell them that you hired someone to sit the test for you. That would lead to a whole new set of problems if you do. With any luck, they will just skip scoring that question. It does not appear that they plan to have you retake the whole test though. The worst may be over for you. It appears the writer you hired cheated on that question alone, but it was enough to trigger an inquiry. This is just the start of the case resolution. Let us know if you receive other inquiries or instructions from the university. This is not the final decision yet.

It is difficult to tell as @a1writer said above. They may just be moving very carefully this time. If these are the same people that tried to blackmail you, then you know that they are not legit based in the UK. All I could find out was that the domain was registered with GoDaddy on 09 May 2022 and expires this year on the same date. Not sure if that helps but it at least proves this is the back up name reserved for an unknown website. Be careful. Your uni would have more sophisticated Traci g tools at their disposal so yes, they will find out the location of the company / writer who logged in for you. I just do not know for sure if that is the reason for the delay in your exam results.

Do not let this experience deter you from your hopes and dreams. Consider the test results a bump in the road. A hump you will have to get over for your future. Hold on to your goals for your future. Keep us posted.

If you don't mind my adding some information and concerns to what has already been said and advised to you. It appears that the domain name is newly registered. There is no company history to be spoken of or found online at the moment. The fact that they do not provide even a fake UK office address is very concerning in my opinion. Do not believe the publicity about awards and other things on their website. Those are all lies. They have not been in business long enough to make those claims. Not unless they previously existed under a different name, which they used to scam the students. The companies that have too much negative complaints often change their url and company name to avoid any further connection with the previous bad name, even though their services remain the same, horrible and dangerous. Please be extremely careful this time around. You cannot afford to have a part 2 of your previous experience.

How does this essay mill manage to stay open online when the Ukraine is in shambles? You would think that the lack of electricity and proper telecommunication access would have sent this company offline already. I guess Starlink is truly working wonders in that country, but in doing so, Elon Musk is aiding and abetting in the scam being perpetrated by the company on the students. Well, at least they are not pretending to ask for aid for Ukranian relief like their counterpart companies, that are also still functioning, tend to do. Just don't hire this company for any reason at this point. At the rate their war is going, you may not receive that paper from them even though you have paid upfront for it.

Writers are not expected to know what these methodologies are and how to use them in general. Only writers who actually need to use these in specific analysis cases and research papers need to be proficient in using the methodology. Writers can always work on more familiar papers rather than trying to understand how to use these, and eventually use in in the paper of a student. Unfamiliarity will result in a horribly developed, quite possible incorrectly presented paper from the writer, for which he expects to get paid. Do not do the job if you are not familiar with the completion requirements. If you even have to ask if you need to know about these things means you are not capable of writing the paper. Stay away from papers covering topics you will have to study as a writer. Be kind and honest with your client. Tell him upfront what you are and are not capable of working on. Don't try to do the paper just because you want to collect the fee for it. Do not do the client a disservice.

All of the claims made above are only true of legitimately registered academic consultancy businesses, of which foreign companies are not usually classified. More often than not these companies violate international laws in relation to academic honesty and fraud. While not all of these foreign companies may function in a ruthless and fraudulent manner, there are some that function within some aspects of legality. It is just difficult to find these sorts because the negative companies proliferate the web in a far greater number. It is best to exercise extreme caution when dealing with any essay writing company because of the difficulty in assessing their service honesty and business legality.

I am not sure how long the domain name has been up for sale but, considering that most of these domain names expire with an allowance for reinstatement under the original owner, this could have just recently gone on sale for new useers. I would caution anybody against buying any domain name that has a reference to the UK at this point. Do not use the UK in your URL because that country has some of the most stringent anti-essay mills laws in the world.

Since it appears that they are conducting surveillance on essay mills, I can only surmise that they will find a way to shut down such url's as well. Perhaps in the same manner that proper authorities worldwide manage to shut down YouTube videos, Facebook pages, and Twitter accounts. Community guidelines and TOS agreements give these companies the right to shut down a company once a valid complaint through proper legal representation or judicial complaint is filed with them.

So what is to stop the individual countries from at least shutting down the pages and individual writers that violate their laws? I would not suggest buying a UK referenced domain name. It is just too dangerous to do so at this point. Nobody and no company would want to be the test case right?

He is using the loophole "the law is subject to interpretation" so he is intentionally misinterpreting the law, bending it to suit his business needs. He is acting on behalf of the defense. His own defense that is. He must have tried, but failed to become a defense attorney. It appears that he isn't very good at lawyering so he did not even try at it as his primary career.

This is the part I am wondering about. Since the essay mills use the cover of protection that being located in a different country provides, how will these criminals be held accountable for their actions? Will the students be able to use the law at least to prosecute the essay mills in the UK that did not adjust their form of business? Or have these essay mills already changed business targets to better adhere to the law? In which case, the only problem will be the lack of jurisdiction of the law over overseas writers and companies?

As I consider you an authority on this UK educational law and its application, would you happen to know if any student Hass been successfully aacused or has any university brought an action against an existing essay mill in the UK to date? Have the teeth of these laws been tested yet in any scenario?

They found a way to part a fool from his money alright. Their platinum service is nothing but a scam meant to make their writers more professional than others and their company, more classy than their competitors. The service is nothing by smoke and mirrors. There is no reason that the student will require an audio version of the paper that was written for him. A blind student already has text to audio software pre-installed in both his mobile phone and laptop. What is a paper report card? Do they assume to provide a grade for the paper that the student should expect to receive? In which case, they are promoting academic fraud by encouraging the student to pass the essay for a grade. They encourage academic cheating and have no qualms about encouraging it, making this company criminal in my eyes.

Just your luck to get picked then. You know how slow these guys can move. Specially at the start of the academic year. Since this is the first test, maybe they are still experimenting with a new system they just installed or something. That response sounds very reassuring. Your test answers did not trigger any red flags. That should help ease your mind as we await the results.

I for one am pleased to see that he finally adjusted his recommendation for the paper use to the students. As we have been suggesting he do all along. @Agirl33 The note does not say anything specific in this case but there is definitely a serious investigation taking place. The reference to university investigation procedures could indicate a suspicion on wrongdoing of the exam takers part. Your friend should hear more from the university as soon as they complete the process. I cannot say if this is a positive or negative development at this point. The response is a template message that is meant to be a non-answer to the query. Have you ever had to wait this long for your test results before?

I am pleased that you had a good work experience with him. Now, make sure you get his clearance to leave a review here first. He hates it when people leave honest and glowing reviews of his work. He has the admin delete it as soon as he sees it for pricing reasons with future clients. It may also be seen as an endorsement of his services, which is against the rules of this forum. He is only allowed to personally advertise his services as he pays for that privilege. He might even have this short but positive review you left deleted for the same reasons. So clear it with him first. Unless he instructed you to leave this review in the first place so it stands to reason that he has given you clearance for a second glowing review as well.

Most writers require the full payment upfront, some require payments as the work is completed. These writers ask students to put a downpayment upfront, 50 % upon draft submission, and the final 25 % upon final output. No edits are done to the draft when the client does not pay the 50% for the draft copy. That is the only way that writers can be assured of receiving full payments during these days of inflation. Students always pay up, even in increments form, provided the writer actually provides quality work. That is all they ask. They will not pay up the 50% upon draft completion if the draft does not meet the writing requirements. That is only fair since they will need to hire another writer to (hopefully) complete the paper. So before any writer asks for fairness from the student, he should make sure that he is actually delivering work worth paying for.

That way you will be better prepared and more confident once they finally tell you that you have to take the test over? Even in the international laws the work that these companies do are considered illegitimate and unacceptable in academic circles. Their services are frowned upon because they allow students to pass the model papers for grading. Therefore, this is a company that is a clear accomplice to academic cheating. What with their wide range of deadlines for the convenience of their clients and claims of well - versed experts in various writing fields... The company anchor page clearly makes scam related claims that no student should ever trust.
