The uni where I work part-time (lecturing, dontcha know?) DOES have the capability to monitor this kind of thing, but doesn't implement it because they're scared of getting sued for invading students' privacy.

The honest truth is: they could, but they probably don't.

Like Pheelyks says, they don't have time to monitor every site visited on a campus computer.

The only thing you really have to watch out for is the fingerprint detection system in the mouse, which they can use to verify who was using your account, but they'd need to get a sample of your fingerprints (with your permission) first, which I assume they haven't done? You should be fine, but like Pheelyks said, maybe use a library computer or something next time, just to be sure...

It's too late for that. Most IT suites employ certified telepaths. They knew you were going to order an essay before you did!

One of the main things to consider is: how good is the English on their website? No matter how 'flashy' it may be (probably off-the-peg, mind), poor spelling and grammar on the website is a big sign that you're dealing with fraudsters who have no chance of writing a decent essay for you.

Also, are they making unrealistic promises? If they're charging you £10 per page, the writer is probably getting around £5 per page, and no good writer would work for such a low price.

This site is useless in terms of getting actual recommendations. If someone says X-site is great, they're probably the owner of that site. If someone says Y-site is rubbish, they're probably one of that site's competitors.

You'll probably be deluged with private messages - I know I was when I first posted here. I'd suggest ignoring them, taking some time to look at various sites (i.e. not just the first page on Google) and go with your instinct.

The sad truth is, many in this industry are non-English natives (nothing wrong with that) pretending they can write academic English (something very wrong with that). Try to talk to them, that way you can get an inkling for yourself.

No surprise you got screwed. I tried bestessays and ukessays and both of them let me down. I eventually found a good site no im not going to say what site other than they advertise here but if you want my advice it takes trial and error to find a good one and sadly some of these posts are not very helpful because its full of people screaming at each other! x

Just found this site. Best Essays ****** me over, terrible essay, terrible service, never go near them again with a barge pole. Take my advice or learn the hard way.
