I have a QAD team in place to check my writer's work. However, they are limited to ensuring that the written paper meets the instructions of the assignment and the writing quality meets the demands of the client. They do not request writer's to do unnecessary revisions. They are instructed to deal with the "grammar" issues at their level, before the paper goes out to the student. The student should only come back to us to place a new order, not to request for revisions regarding content, grammar, or formatting.
I expect the QA editors to be able to spot these potential problems before the paper goes out. If they fail to spot a potential client revision / refund issue, the QA editor assigned to the paper misses a salary credit, not the writer. The writer is still expected to correct the work though. The editor knows the company has a 3 strike rule. That's the number of times an editor can fail to properly assess a paper before the client receives it. Do it 3 times and it's, "Sayonara job!"
I won't keep you on staff because you cannot do your job. The writer delivers the paper, your job is to make sure it meets client requirements. If you can't do that, why should I keep you on the payroll? No, it isn't the writer who should get the penalty for work that QAD was created to do. They back up the writers. Only if the writing is so off tangent should the paper be returned to the client for revision.
That is why I do not believe that QAD teams are a rip-off. They are meant to keep the writers on their toes. Their job is to keep track of the writer's work quality and then report that to me at the end of every semester so I know which writer to boot out of the company. It is because the QAD team is not properly utilized by the companies that they receive a bad reputation.
