I don't think it is possible. The only way I know is request the Mods to remove a post. If you're editing your post (in the given time), you still cannot remove it altogether. You MUST write something, lolz. I guess the Mods should consider this option as it is very undemocratic, isn't it?

I haven't sold any yet ;)

You might want to put it on your blog (if you have any). If you haven't sold it, it doesn't mean you should let the knowledge rust away in your (e)shelf.

Essay Services / Questions about Kasamba.com [15]

I have had a cursory look at their services and browsed along a bit. I am unable to find even a clue regarding their services for any sort of writing - let alone qualitative or quantitative. Maybe you should ask the same person about how to reach them for some writing work. Or if anyone on this forum finds anything on this site, they should post the details here.

I don't think this company provides services of a writer in any form or field. I think they offer psychic readers' services only.

You can manually insert this webpage in the address bar. I don't think it is that difficult, or is it?

Essay Services / Oxbridge essays advice needed [20]

This is a better community given all the members are serious and focused. The problem is most of the many members on this forum come with their hidden agendas which is to promote a specific company.

Today, in the age of information (most of which is crap) basic research skills is a prerequisite when you sit at your computer. You should know how to find out what you're looking for. That's it.

Cents per WordVery critical questions, indeed.

I think it is very difficult to predict the future rate scale as the industry is full of gray areas. Lack of research (let alone rigorous research) is one prime reason; the other is the porousness of transactions taking place on the internet.

Perhaps better internet technologies will help the essay writing industry to grow mature enabling the writers and the customers to make better informed choices. Thus, although it may not be possible to bring the industry back to it booming period (when native writers were valued more than the ESL or EFL writers), it is also rational to argue that the quality would still matter in the coming days. So, a mature market will probably have segments of different types of products written by writers from different backgrounds.

I am not taking side with anyone, but it seems that in more general areas of essay writing industry (such as literature, management, tourism, etc.) the native writers will face growing competition from the NN writers. However, when it comes to certain niches, they can still maintain their edge over the NN ones.

I'd like to point out a very important area that has not been touched upon in the post above - the case of growing trend of essay and research writing in many countries other than US and UK (ESL/EFL). Many well-renowned colleges/universities (both local and with international affiliation) based in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and even in India and Pakistan now require of the student to complete certain essay writing tasks. Thus, it adds to the riches of the essay writing industry.

So true. However, I should add that stories of scams, even on this forum, involving either the US/UK based companies or the clients, are quite numerous. Just take the very recent example of a battle that turned violent here: you know what I mean...!

So which way do you think the wheel turns?

It seems that most of the ESL writers/members on this forum are either owners of some companies operated by ESLs/EFLs or are employed by them. It is this point that spins the wheel of misrepresentation over and over. This is obviously not a good practice.

I haven't stated that you ARE the company representative. I just used the modal 'may' to show the likelihood of your being so, but nothing obvious or sure. Hope you understand.

I think you have missed the sarcasm in my post above. Concretely, the post made by John Kelly seems to favor the company which may mean that this person is actually from the same company. So, be careful while making your choices online.

There are some members of the forum who argue that ESL writers cannot produce the kind of quality a native writer can. I have taken a position on this stance. However, there are others who admit that it is the quality that matters. The point is: most of the non-native writers (like me) show linguistic deviations (from the major linguistic norms of a particular community); it is this area looked down upon by some. Second, most of the companies lie about their country of origin and the status of the writers on their payroll. This is also criticized a lot by the opponents. To me, this is also unethical. If an ESL writer is confident of their talent, they needn't lie about anything.

This debate has continued for a long time on this forum now. Tell me why you worked for the companies that sold your work by lying to their clients. When you knew they were lying, you should have backed off. Why did you not do so?

I'd suggest that be careful with these companies (specially when it comes to fund transfer) as I have come across quite a few stories of people bragging about being scammed by them. If you do not believe me, you might want to do some basic research on Google.

There are quite a few high-rated libraries in the WWW. However, for a serious researcher, it is not difficult to understand that every library or database has a specific niche in which they offer their services - online reading material and research tools.

Let's say: the database X has up-to-date reading material available on various fields and disciplines. However, on close scrutiny and experience with them, it is found out that they lack certain sources that are available on library Y or Z.

It is because of a number of reasons. The most important being, to me, is the affiliation with publishing houses and partners. Thus, if you are a professional researcher, perhaps, subscribing to one source is NEVER enough.

This is right and both the client and the writer know it. I don't understand why a writer would wanna risk their labor and time by asking the customer to pay after the product is delivered.

This is what we have been talking about on this forum: this is the result of the pay-after-you-receive-the-paper philosophy. You cannot blame anyone, can you?

I don't think everybody provide genuine data about themselves, specially the CV. But for money transfer, however, the information has to be accurate or the funds cannot be transferred. You should go a head with genuine info as honesty is the best policy. Good luck.
