I have joined today. I was guided by a fellow writer. He said this forum might be useful. I have recently started writing and was terribly cheated by the person mentioned above. That was more than 45 days' work and it went unpaid. I am very upset.

I have started working for these people. The payment is miserable. But yet to get cheated out of my earnings.

Do they pay well? On time? Dependable? I am looking for writer's jobs, after being cheated by a company called called 1stclass projects. I am working for masterpapers; but would like to work for one or two more. I am very highly qualified on varied subjects with many masters.

Do you feel that this company is dependable?

Students still go to these big companies, instead of directly approaching the writers. They trust the companies more. I am sure there must be good reason for that. We writers trust the company too. But I was cheated by two or three companies very badly. Please do not write for projects1stclass. They never pay.

NOOOOOO. Please do not write for those companies. You won't get paid. It is an awful outfit. And that man is the most offensive cheat. Please do not go near them. Talking from personal experience. 1stclassprojects, projects1stclass, dissertation 1stclass or whatever they call themselves, please do not go near them.

I simply wrote to them and as I have submitted my thesis, they offered me a job. But the payment is very poor. They say they are an American company and pay you in dollars, delayed payment, deductions wherever possible etc.

The payment ranges between $5 to $9 per page. It is not much. After working throughout the month, you will be appalled to realise that you have only earned around $300. But they have a lot of orders and plenty of foreigners and foreign students are working for them. Still, it is impossible to rely on these earnings for a living.

I can give you the name of a company, thewritinghelp.com. It is a very small unknown writing place. But you cannot get a job here. They are only four academics and they do all kinds of writing, not just student writing. They refuse to hire anyone else. I do some occasional marketing for them. But no point approaching them. They are rigid about their hiring policy. I could not get into it either. They want to remain four.

You can try UK essays. Heard that they are hiring. I have sent an application; but have not heard from them yet. Will let you know if I do.

Oxford essays too are hiring writers. They simply say that they do not take anyone other than an Oxford graduate. I was told that they do take others too. I am applying there and perhaps you can do the same!!

Yes, you have to pay much more for a genuine, grade bringing essay.

I have only a temporary job now as a writer which will end on the 25th of March. I am desperately looking for good companies. But I have been cheated many times. You can see here that no member is suggesting any names. It is a difficult trade.

I don't exactly have a vendetta, like the one you seem to be having against one of the members here. Still, when you lose more than £700 to a company for no fault of yours, and when similar situations crop up in the threads, I do not think there is anything wrong about saying things in a conversational way. Actually that is what this forum is meant for: to show the grievances, share it with others and if possible, make them aware of the dangers. I do not think there is any thread regimentalisation here.

OK. Please yourself. I am not here to continue this kind of discussion.

How could you send your email to the customers while working for a company? I think companies delete writer emails. Don't they?

Well, that should bring down some of the self-inflated ego. It had been difficult to post even an innocent comment on this forum because Beware would pounce upon any comment to show his/her self-importance, by making some cutting remark or other. Often I had wondered why the administrator allows absolutely unconnected, futile arguments, sometimes even using rather obscene words.

Actually it is nice to have new members with diverse points of view and knowledge. The existing members, especially the domineering lot are pretty boring.

I know that Cambridge offers part time PHD. Why only Cambridge, almost all the universities do so now. Next year I will be starting another research, part time.

When a person got the admission for PhD, it naturally means that the research proposal was approved. Which Supervisor will accept a student without the research proposal?

What is wrong in doing research that is not connected with one's employment? Why should it be connected at all? That is a mutilated thought.

I am only answering the part that you had addressed to me.

I don't think that everything should fall in place according to our assumptions. We always have a pattern in our minds that people should take decisions, choose courses, take employment, get married, have children, retire etc. It need not be that way. People might be having diverse interests and desire to do many things in life. Actually that is how it should be. I did my masters, MPhil and did PhD by paying for it, because I wanted to do it and it is my business and I do not care if someone approves it or not. From English Literature, I am going to Benthic Marine Ecology for the next research, because I like it. Why should your opinion matter to Struggling? That is your opinion and matters only to you.

Cambridge does not care about what you had been doing. They will be more interested in your qualifications and your proposal. Before joining another University, I had applied to Cambridge and irrespective of the fact that I was working in a factory, the future supervisor was very receptive. It came later and I had already joined another uni, by paying fees, is a different matter.

People can do unexpected things. Every one need not tread the conventional path. There are untrodden roads too, and they are the ones who make all the difference.

In what way Cambridge or any other university for that matter is erring by taking a student for research with complete or even more than required qualifications? Do you feel that universities should reject the qualifications and perfect research proposals only on the ground that the candidate is working in an unconnected profession? Does it mean that a qualified, but unemployed person is preferable?

Cannot understand how you can call it 'based primarily on fees'. No University will do it only to get the fees unless they are sure that the candidate is talented and capable. I do not think that fee is connected to it in any way. Universities need not 'grab' a student simply because he is a paying student. Most students pay for the research. All do not get funding.

Also you must know that funding is unavailable for part time studies!

I think there is another company owned by the same person called 1stclass projects and another desertation something. When you click on it, you can see that you can get job right away. It is a walk-in job. Your work is appreciated by administraor Peter Richardson till you reach, say £600. Then you are told by him, not by the client, that you have plagiarised and all your money is gone and he is filing a suit against you. It is horrible. I don't know how he doesn't killed. There are many people who have complained against him. Does not care for students either. If you say, you will sell the essay to internet, he says "Go ahead". Please don't ever go to this company either as a writer or as a student.

I cannot agree. My experience has been different. They have a lot of orders. But they cringe to pay, cut corners, cheat wherever they can. At the same time, they are not blatant cheats like so many other companies I can name. I wrote for an American company and after accepting all the essays, when the payment time came, they simply put me out of the company. Academia wants to be in business; but do not mind losing a writer even for as little as $40. If you give any reason that you might stop writing for them, they do not make your last payment. Most of their writer live in India and Pakistan and some of them write quite well. Please be careful about your payment.

Also, I can add: All those people, Jessica, Olivia, Sean, James, John, Melissa, Linda and many more have Chinese accent. Now, I am not suggesting even for a moment that a person from non-English country should not run a business or should not write. I am only saying that people leave and go, and the next person who replaces him, takes his name and you don't know with whom you are dealing. Sometimes, it is like talking to people with amnesia, as they simply don't know what happened earlier, despite having the same names. It is all very confusing.

Getting the payment out of them is very very difficult. Please work for them only if you don't get a job anywhere else. Essay standard is nothing great either. You have to be very careful. The moment you get an email saying: "Sorry, billing company very busy. There will be delay in the payment this month" etc. you should stop writing till you get your salary.

Having said that, I also can add once again that they are not blatant cheats, just dodgers if they can get away with it and want to continue essay writing.
