The scam list may be old but we can never tell if these people are still lurking in the dark, continuing to do their misdeeds upon unsuspecting students. So updating this post, bumping it up, in a way, still does a service. As a warning, a precaution to the students. The tips on how to vet the writers will also be helpful. This total thread is still relevant these days so I hope the students do take note of the names and possible vetting guidelines when interviewing or searching for a reliable independent writer.

Milton Crane went out of business because they could not handle the business. It appears it was mismanaged because the company name is actually still existing on the host server, just locked up. It is listed as "Forbidden", meaning the url doesn't have access to the server. So one of two things could have happened. The company changed hands and along with it, the url name changed as well. Or, the company name got involved in some negative business, forcing them to retire the name, but keep the business running on the same server, just under a different name also.

Uhm... I am not sure how forming your own company can help the students stop cheating writing companies. You should like cheaters yourself. I bet you came from the scam companies, learned how to con the students, improved on what you learned, and now, are ready to start your own scamming company. United Writers in conning the students right? That is what you are after right? There is nothing legitimate about your company either. You are just preying on the victimized students, hoping they won't know any better, the second time around.

If the spin-off company does not turn up any negative information during a search, but the mother company sets off warning bells and alarms, then it would be best to stay away from the company. Always estimate the kind of working relationship you will have with the umbrella company by the reviews fro the mother company. That is because the mother company experience carries over to the umbrella. Since they share everything from the writers, to the server, to the order listings. If you get a whiff of a negative experience relating to the head company, protect yourself by not dealing with any off shoot companies as well.

When dealing with an unknown academic writing company, the priority inquiry should always be about the refund policy. Always assume the worst case scenario, that the paper you will be getting will be so useless, you will want your money back. You should not proceed with placing an order with the company if you cannot understand the refund policy, it is confusing, or there is no refund policy in place. You should always make sure to protect your wallet or bank account when dealing with a non-recommended or little known writing company.

Again, because the OP never bothered to follow up on the post originally created, and based on the format of the post, I believe he was not a real student. He was just here to advertise the site and try to fool students into trying the service. Unfortunately, the con was not effective because someone who actually had a negative experience with the site posted in the thread. Thus blowing the OP's cover as a paid professional poster.

If that is the only reason you chose the company, then I hope you are really happy with the grade the paper they created for you received. You probably do not understand how receiving an education works. Part of the education is make sure that you hire help that can actually improve your grades. I do not think you even wanted good grades, you just wanted a grade. As long as you did not fail, the work of the 3rd world ESL writer made you happy.

"Rebranding" is never a good sign.

Yep. Rebranding only means the people behind the company are trying to cover their previous tracks for some reason. In this case, it could be a string of government filed lawsuits, or class suits filed by unhappy students. Whatever the reason, they are trying to convince people that a new company name means better. service. If you ask these guys, they will tell you that sacrificial lambs have been offered, the offending writers, office staff, and and whoever have also been fired. so the company is under almost totally new management. Yeah right.

It appears that the internet swallowed this criminal alive. The website hasn't been helping him to get any clients lately. Mostly because it seems to have died a natural death. The lack of clients, or his inability to actually satisfy his existing client base needs were probably what did him in. I can rest easy now knowing that a person who was so confused by his gender identity, that he tried to be both male and female in this thread, can no longer run his con on unsuspecting students.

@Kate1995 Your glowing review of the service was so convincing, I realized you were paid to promote the service at this forum after the second sentence. You need to balance your promotional material next time. It can't be all positive. That is how we catch on to the paid shills at this forum. Next night, make up some negatives to go with the positives. That way you can better do your job, of trying to convince us that you are a student and not a paid hack.

Based on the original posting, I believe that the hiring was done more on the basis of cost per page rather than actual quality of work. Notice that there was no real vetting of the company claims and writer capacity done by the student. They just read the blurb off the site and decided this was the company they wanted to go with. Never take any writing company or independent writer at face value. Always dig deeper before hiring a service or a person. That way you don't feel so cheated when you get the final product. If you investigate first then hire the company or person, you may find yourself not hiring the current company you are investigating. Be an educated client. Investigate before hiring.

"Claiming that you have not received our material is a crime"

scamessays/viewtopic.php?t=14

The problem I have with @FreelanceWriter's explanation is that the illegitimate essay writing companies tend to use that claim when they are unable to produce a writer for the student. They make improper claims of having assigned the task to a writer, they get a staff member to pretend to be the writer, then they do not try to find an actual writer for the task anymore. After the deadline passes, they claim they sent the paper and the client may not have checked their spam mail, or some stupid claim like that. Then they actually use that legal claim when the student begins to venture into demanding a refund. Yes, the wording they use is highly similar to the way the OP asked the question. That is why I do not think the OP is an idiot. He just explained things in a way that he understood. There was no need to call the OP any names. That was unwarranted and a low blow.

academia reseach cheated me,

They continue to cheat their writers. In fact, they recently did a purge of their writing staff. The unceremoniously cancelled the accounts of some of their first class and premium writers who were questioning company policies. They were seen as influencing the junior writers negatively, which led to their dismissal. They never did see the income that they were owed. This happened just during the previous lockdown. So I have to warn the writers here, do not sign up with Academia-Research. They are looking for fresh blood to abuse. Do not be part of the new set of writer victims.

its easy to register co.uk domain.

It is easy to register any domain in the world as long as you can afford to pay for it. I can be in Turkey and have a .uk domain name. I can even purchase a UK based business address and phone number. The URL of a website does not prove anything. It is only a location instrument. Do not trust the domain extension of any writing company until you have done a reverse IP lookup to prove its actual location.

It it a real company? I couldn't find a business address (could be a PO box) on the site. .

When I was first starting out, I was working from my home. I did not bother to register my business at first because I was still trying to feel the market and decide if this was really something that I wanted to do full-time. So I did not have a business address listed on my website for a period of time. That did not mean I was not a legitimate company. It only meant that I was in between testing the waters and registering my business. The minute I decided that this was it for me, I immediately registered my business and posted my home address as my business location. I can understand why a business would not use an address at once, but I would question any business that, after a period of time, never registered an actual address or, decided to use a P.O Box instead.

Essay Services / Unemployedprofessors.com review [49]

The name of the company should have been enough of a warning sign for these students who foolishly hired their services. There are very few unemployed professors around and believe me, only a handful of them, would ever go into the academic writing business. They do not tend to go into these services as a part time job because of their fear that they might accidentally write a paper for a student of theirs, and they would have to pass the student who paid for the service once they recognize their own work. Of course I speak of traditional USA or UK based professors. The rest of the 3rd world professors, whom I believe this service represents, could care less about academic integrity and figuring out they wrote a paper for their student. Those professors tend to dabble in "grades for pay" during the regular school year.

Sometimes, it is better for a student to create his own directory of writing companies that he can use for specific types of paper writing. It helps to know what each company specializes in so that the student will always use the company that can provide the actual service he needs. With a directory listing of trusted companies or independent writers, then the student will always be able to avoid getting scammed or blackmailed by the other writing companies or independent writers or ill repute. Not that you will find those kinds of writers at this forum.

Never hire a writing company that does not transfer the copyright of the work to the student. The reason you are hiring a writer is to have a paper to submit for a grade in the first place. So hiring a writer to complete an original paper at a premium price, that you cannot use for a grade, doesn't make any sense. Hiring a writing service is all about the convenience of getting a grade, without the hassle of having to do the legwork yourself. Don't be a fool!

If a website "looks scammy" then any student who goes on to use the service is a fool. No amount of voice selling by an agent should convince any student to use a service whose website left them feeling uneasy. I have a feeling that this student paid the price for using this service. However, I also feel that the student was a plant in this thread. The calculated explanation regarding how the site looked, but then the client agent allayed those fears looks like a measured action meant to give the students a half and half imag eof the company. This would have allowed them to consult, consider, and hire the company later on.

The guy posting should have been given a script by the PR department before they let him lose on the web. His grammar isn't going to entice students to consider the writing service. He is a liability the company should have fired when they saw what he was doing here. If he cannot write a single, coherent sentence in English, then he cannot do his job properly of pretending to not promote the company at ES.

Chinese academic writing companies are still running their scam in these pandemic times. Penalizing the workers for good work, just because the company would like to keep more of its profits is still the norm for most of them. In fact, it appears that only the Chinese writing companies seem to be doing well financially these days. More than likely because the Chinese families encourage their children, who are studying abroad, to use the services. In their minds, hiring the writing services iassures their children of an A grade. That is why these companies are located in China, where Google and other services that do not support academic writing services cannot reach them.

It is hard to tell the difference between a legitimate writer who is sharing his work experience on ES, from the paid company representative who is trying to entice new and innocent writers to their company. In this case, I believe that @Amy Robinson was released onto this forum as a a fake student. This person is not to be trusted to tell the truth. Please notice that details about the work order, the work relationship, cost of the page, and other information needed to gain accurate work information from this "Student" is missing. Then there is the problem of the "student" claiming to be a writer for the company. Which is the truth? Anything questionable, such as the dual purpose for this post, should be taken as a red flag by students. Avoid dealing with the company, just to be on the safe financial side.

The problem is that these verified icons are available on any search engine. It is the fault of the companies that allow the images to be used by the free image directory of the search engines. They should have some sort of embedded watermark to prove the fake icon, when used on a page not related to the payment company. It is just too easy to get the icons online and paste it in a con site. There is no way the payment company can keep tabs on all the cons using their icon. They should just work on making it more difficult for them to use their icons in fake postings.

@adammary is not a student who successfully used the service. The post reeks of a company representative who knew how to try and cover his tracks. You should steer clear of the writing company this person recommends because the company is surely a scam. Do not deal with the writing company. If you do, then do not come here to complain about your horrible experience working with this writing service. You were warned, the reasons not to trust the recommendation above were given, and you were advised not to use the service. In truth, Google still advertises the writing companies on their site. Although they promised the academic world that they would no longer work with these writing companies, they still do. They still accept paid advertising from these companies. Facebook and Instagram, even YouTube has made things worse by allowing these fly by night companies to hold profiles in their companies that allow them to better promote their services. They are not vetted or fact checked by the companies (I think that only applies to politics) which is why they have proliferated in the social media scene since Google first pretend to ban the companies from advertising on their site.

but you cannot send the work

I call BS on this. The students will turn over the paper to the professor for a grade. They are paying premium prices for an original essay or research paper and expect to get a paper that can be submitted for a grade. The company put that disclaimer only to cover their behinds in case the student does not get a passing grade. The prices the company charges aren't model paper costs. These are "submit for a grade" costs. So saying they own the paper is stupid. Additionally, students should never hire a writing company that claims to own the paper they wrote for you. Paying them and allowing them to own the paper in perpetuity is just plain dumb. If you agree to such terms, then you deserve the con that is coming to you.

Assignment help websites are always run out of Asia. Most of the time, the companies are set up by people with little to no proper academic education. They just learned, through other sources, that education assistance websites were a good way of earning money. They never thought of actually having to do the work themselves. Which is why the work provided is shoddy. It is important to never use any assignment help website because of this reason. Instead, hire a writer who actually knows what he is doing to help with your homework. Independent writers are not available just for research or coding work. They can also assist with assignment completion whenever required. They are academically trained to do so, unlike their Asian "counterparts", and I use the term "counterparts" loosely in this context.

In relation to the password discussion, I once had to release one of my writers whom I caught continuing to use the password of a student to access his university library account. There are some writers who do continue to access student library accounts online as it lessens their need to purchase their own online library accounts. This is why I advise the students to always change their passwords once the order has been completed. I also have several online library passwords that use a general password, which I share with my writers as their need arises.

This is why it is important to ask the writer to provide a draft of the finished work when he has completed at least 25 % of the actual paper. You can stop the order at that point if you feel that the paper does not meet your requirements. At that point, you still have options such as: (1) have the paper reassigned or (2) cancel the order before things get worse for you. While other writers frown upon the draft submission practice, I find that this helps the writer stay on point and the student, gets the assurance that the paper is being completed as per the provided instructions. Sure it is a hassle for the writers, but it lessens the QAD workload in terms of paper supervision and revision requests when a paper has already been submitted and marked as paid in the system.

This is one confused student. Either the company is a fraud or it isn't. At least in his perception. Our perception does not matter in this case. What does matter is that he seems to have gotten his paper and was satisfied with the result. Then again, based on the grammar of the OP, he won't be able to tell a good paper from a bad one. He also does not have the ability to differentiate between a fraud and a legitimate company. Sheesh!

When in a rush, it is always best to use the direct writer-for-hire service instead of going with a writing company. The story narrated above is the normal worst case scenario that is often depicted by the students at this forum. Most clueless and hopeless students end up hiring the first service they come across or, the most affordable service they can find, which will always spell disaster for their paper. I am not going to promote any specific writer at within this thread but, I will advise that the students go with the most active writers at this forum. Never hire a company that you are not familiar with if you do not have the time to vet the service or, find someone to fix the disaster of a paper that they will be submitting to you.

The ratios mean different grades, depending upon how the company classifies it for their writers / costing. The grading ratio helps the student understand how the writing will be completed and what grade to expect. Most students use the grade ratio as their primary consideration for ordering the paper. The 1st mark usually gets the most orders. I have yet to see a student who wants a mark lower than that. Anyway, the writer assigned to the paper will have a proven track record at the company with that grade consideration for the student. Only a specific set of writers at my company work on those types of papers. I cannot entrust that type of paper to just any writer at the company. It is important that they can deliver because of the premium value the client pays per page.

Funny how all of the important information regarding the business registration of this company has been "Redacted for privacy". What privacy? What are they hiding? The fact that their US location is a fake? Everyone knows that already. The fact that it is a company owned by Indians out of India? It's an open secret. There is nothing about this company to be protected. They are afraid of lawsuits? That, is the most likely reason. However, hiding behind privacy laws will eventually stop benefiting them and they will have to come out and face any legal charges that have been or will be filed against them.

Both these companies do not have reputable images in the writing community. Their companies are better known for scamming students than anything else. I do not believe they even hire actual writers. They simply cut and paste sources from other sources themselves. Pretending to submit a semblance of an academic paper. They do not care about anything except their hit and run scam. They hit the student with a plagiarized paper, for which they have previously collected the writing fee, then they run. They disappear and never contact the client again, who by that time may be asking for a full refund. Instead, they threaten blackmail, which the student can ignore because they don't really have anything on the student at that point. They just don't want to refund the cash for it.

Which is why we never heard from her again even after she promised to do so. That is what is wrong with the people that ask for opinions at this forum. They never follow through to the end of the sharing process. When one promises to give an update, one must do so. All writers, of equal education and with a voracity for reading the classics and the philosophical works of the past will also be able to completesuch papers. It is unfair to say that only a specific set of writers can complete any work. It is important to give all writers a fair shot at the task. The student has the right to vet the writer anyway. Making sure, on a personal level, that the writer will be able to deliver what the student needs. There shouldn't be a focus on just one type of writer. That is not how this industry works.

Only a true blooded American can write about the American experience. The other writers, the ESL writers and the out of the USA writers can only try to write in a similar form, based on researched knowledge. The ESL writers, who have sufficient English proficiency are still limited in their writing capacity and can only go so far in the "fake it" game.
