The problem I see now is that most of the credible writing services are being affected by the emergence of writing bots. Students are just shying away from hiring writers from essay services so the writers have no choice but the seek better work opportunities elsewhere. They need to earn and the companies these days simply do not have enough clients to go around their existing writers pool. The writers are also affected by what is happening in the writing world. AI has made the writing industry a worrisome place for writers. They never know what the bot will have taken their job.

A writer who works using unclear instructions from the client is aching for endless revision requests and a negative review rating. Always work under the assumption that you need extra information. Reach out to the client. Ask questions and show an interest in providing perfect work. It never hurts to see if there is an extra service you can provide. There is no risk involved, only client satisfaction will be produced and gained.

Essay Services / need reviews about essaytize. [3]

The company is new to the business but have made sure to spam the academic website reviews with their positive reviews. They are paying a premium price to keep any negative information at bay and, they make sure that the students never learn that they are not really located in the UK. The fact that they are offering services that break UK laws is proof that they are not where they claim to be located. If there were located in the UK, they would not have made such boastful claims with regards to their services.

most talented legitimate competitors

There are no legitimate competitors in a business that refuses to follow the rules of the country the writer is functioning in. For as long as the writer aids in academic / contract cheating, that person has no right to call himself a writer or a researcher. I am ashamed that I worked in the industry for several years thinking I was doing legitimate work and that I was helping students succeed academically going into their professional careers. My eyes were opened too late to the truth about "Academic Writing" as an industry. There is nothing legitimate about it and there are no legitimate writers in the business. Only those that aid students in cheating so that they graduate without learning anything of actual value to their future jobs.

This particular url has been retired by the parent company. It appears that the company has several sub domains under their umbrella, all leading to the main company server. There was a consensus among the investors that their non performing or problematic affiliate sites should be retired or taken off line as a cost cutting measure. The partners did not want to continue to spend on a company that could not satisfy client needs and instead, endangered the existence of their regular and client trusted companies. Not that their other companies are problem free. They just wanted to limit their damange control expenses more than anything else.

General Talk / Essay Writing Mills Illegal? [18]

@leatha_hahn
The main problem is that the laws are difficult to enforce when the writer is overseas. Such as in the case of FLW. He uses the cloak of international jurisdiction as his protection when advertising his services and soliciting students for work. If he decides at any time to turn on the student, the student, who is more than likely not locate in the USA or in New York, where he resides, will not be able to run after him in the courts. He is free to do as he pleases because of that loophole. There are no laws that cross countries to hold any writer, not just FLW, liable for any negative actions they may enact upon the students using their services.

@a1writer
I hope for the same thing as you are. Unfortunately, FLW is right this time in the sense that he is actually paying to advertise his services here on a direct basis. There used to be a rule that nobody could openly advertise services, unless in the proper section of the forum or its affiliate sites. It appears that ruling has been lifted and the forum is solely around to promote FLW and no other writer. The admin only cares about the money he pays them and nothing more. The care and concern for the students the forum and its runners used to show has taken a back seat to the power of the (almost non-existent) US dollar. All we can do is keep trying our best to warn the students of the dangers they face once they break the academic laws of the country they are in.

Essay Services / buyessay.org bad experience [19]

The company still deals in 3rd rate paper completion. The writers they have on staff have been proven to be AI writing users, which means the client could have saved the money they paid that company. Their current clients have discovered that their papers are ungradeable and their teachers have been calling their attention to their AI us3. This time, the company is not doing refunds.

We need not worry about this company anymore. The domain name is now available for sale. According to my sources, the previous owners have also scrubbed the connected server to ensure all traces of the previous scam they ran would be erased. They have taken every precaution to ensure a domain name sale and yet, they cannot seem to find a buyer for it. I guess more time will have to pass for their crimes to be forgotten by most people.

I am not sure if the OP eventually got hired as a freelancer for a UK based company at this point. Basing his writing skills on his post though, I would have to say that he would not be able to work for a legitimate UK academic consultancy, since the UK has strict anti-essay mill laws. He does not display the kind of writing skill that would benefit a UK based student. If he did manage to find a job with a "UK based research comapny", it is more than likely that he is working for a scam based company that hires low skilled writers, is not based in the UK, and does not care about anti-essay mill laws.

The company is relatively new in the business. Not enough students have discovered the company yet so there are no actual reviews to be found regarding their services at the moment. Their location is still masked at this point and I was unable to find out anything extensive about the company. Due to the lack of reviews and information about the company, it would be best to deal with them carefully. I would not feel comfortable using such a new company if the project involved is grade sensitive. Meaning, if the work is bad, there is no recovering for my grade.

Consider going with a more seasoned company or writer instead. Wait till the company gets more reviews. I would not suggest that your friend be a willing guinea pig for their writers.

If you really want to end the harrassment, then the best thing for you to do is change your number and email address. The best way to stop them is to prevent them from contacting you in any way. The most permanent of which is to change your contact information. Delete the email address and disconnect the number. That way when they send you an email, it will bounce, meaning that is a dead end. If they try to call you, they won't be able to from that number. If you have WhatsApp, then change the number associated with the account when you get a new number. These are the best ways to end their harrassment.

Writing Careers / What about Research Eden? [24]

The website itself looks highly unprofessional. I would not suggest applying for a job at a company that has a one dimensional website. I would not hire a company that has no creative content in their site either. The company itself sounds very basic and fails to instill confidence in their writers. It appears that they do not even have a regular pool of writers. Their hiring is constantly open. The site itself is hard on the eyes. I had to force myself to read it to the end after suffering through that vomit colored first part.

Essay Services / WriteAtHand must be new to those [16]

It looks like the confusion the company had at the start has become very long term for them. They are trying to relaunch a website that does not really have a purpose. What is the company really about? Is it selling writing services? Pre-written content? Does it offer writing guidance? What? I just cannot see how this company can launch when it is suffereing a severed identity crisis. They should throw in the towel and surrender to the fact that they have no idea how to establish a company, much less successfully run one.

AssignmentDom certainly does not scrimp on their advertising budget. You can find them everywhere from Linkedin to Pinterest. They even have rpmotional channels on Vimeo, Buzzfeed and Twitter. All of which are actively engaged in company promotion. How they are hired by students is beyond me. Do they not read the bad copy on the websites and the horrible scripts being used in their video ads? Why would any student want to pay for such lousy service? Why would any student, for that matter, hire a company after being assaulted by their bad grammar in both written and spoken form?

If there is one thing positive to be said about this company, it is that they are on the level about their location and that the business is a single proprietorship. Based on what they have indicated in their site, it appears that while they do cater to an international student clientele, they prefer to focus on Malaysian and Asian students. No doubt because of the similarity in educational style and applicablity of their resources. Should you give the company a shot? Well, I cannot make that decision for you. What I can say is that Asian students might benefit the most from the exposure and expertise of the writers connected with this company.

A student should know how to feel the situation when paying for their paper. Use a comparison point. Consider at least 3 companies for your job order and compare their charges. The total price is what signals the first red flag with regards to the service. Where taxes and other fees other than the research and writing considerations are charged, the student is being scammed. It is better not to order from such companies. There is no sense in overpaying for a paper. The OP's experience is proof of that. You can overpay and still get bad quality results. Just because one pays cheaply or reasonably does not mean the paper will be mediocre.

Hmmm... the url now redirects to a company called techtide.com. The company specializes in digital businesses. They claim to own the aforementioned domain name and they are not selling it. However, they are looking for investor partners who may want to work with them under the said domain. This is a new type of scam being run on innocent people. Beware of this company. It is run by the same people who learned of a new way to con people.

No sense in asking for comments in this case. The company is not active as of this moment. The domain name remains active but the files on the server have been taken down. The handshake remains incomplete. The company, for all intents and purposes, has shut down for now. Will they return? Let's hope not. It looks like they were not worth the money that was paid to them when they were working under this name.

Now known as samedayessay.com, the company changed its businessname, at least online, due to the high rate of negative publicity their previous persona acquired. It is strange that they would keep the link active between the 2 domain names though. That is like criminal pretending to have changed his ways, even as he proves to not have done so. Note that they have placed a heavy emphasis on how their payments are processed and how they protect the client information. These were the problems that brought down their first domain name so they are pretending to rectify it under their new guise. Do not trust them. They are also in violation of Australian academic laws. Something they do not care about because they are not located in Australia anyway. They think they are above the law. Students should know better though and not fall for their scams.

You prevented yourself from kneejerk reactions to the scammer. You followed a logical path to shut them up. You obviously know what the academic laws are in your area and you used it to your advantage. Well done. I hope more students will read what you have posted and actually use these information to help protect them from the damage that they could cause themselves by not knowing that scam actors and blackmailers do not have any real power over them and their academic future.

@a1writer The problme is that no matter how we both explain things over and over again, the students do not seem to care that they are breaking the law. That is mainly where the problem lies. If the students do not care, why should the writer? That is what I am finding difficulty in explaining to these people. Got any idea how we can make both sides care that they are actually breaking international laws in this case?

Well, it appears that even though the company is not as reliable as it appears to be, based on the comments in this thread, there are some things that they pretend to do right. Well, an experienced writer of several decades will argue that what they call safeguarding the client is actually them using a smokescreen so that the client will not notice that their writer is incompetent. They disabled short turn around times for their order system for a reason. I bet you know what the reason is, their writers that lack a valid education, proper writing skills, and do not have the common sense to know when they cannot write a paper. The try to make their writers sound competent but the length by which they do a check and balance on their writer's work should tell you otherwise.

Essay Services / phd-essays.com INFORMATION [17]

The claim that "Our writers go through an intense selection process and are then assisted and trained by the best custom academic experts in the world. " Uh, yeah. Right. I believe them. Not ! These companies do not have any training methods for their writers. They just pretend to test their writers skills upon application. Then they are unleashed on poor and unsuspecting students. There is no training period. Essay writing is something that is taught to children in grammar school. It is not developed or trained into writers like nurses and doctors would be trained. Do not be deceived by false advertising. Nothing they say on their site is true or accurate.

It appears that this is another case of a company claiming to be located where it is not. It is not located in the United States, it is not located in New York. The almost 4 year old website name has masked its actual location and the location of its servers. The only thing American about this company is where the servers are located. Those are located in the middle of Nowhere, Chicago, USA. Somehow the site manages to satisfy their clients, even with such a shady background. That is the only explanation I can think of when I see how long they have been in business, even with a questionable background. I guess students will hire anybody who can fulfill their academic needs. That is all they are after.

Let the self promotion battle begin!

These people are preying on your fear of being discovered so close to the end of the academic year. They are entering the dry writing season and will not have enough work to spread out to their writers. They also will not be making much income from the students during the vacation period. They are going through their full roster of previous clients who have received the same email that you have. Their plan is to scare enough students to pay them for their silence, they are willing to negotiate the cost with you if you ask them nicely, do not do that. They are the ones scared right now. They are scared that they will not be able to scare enough previous clients into paying them. Do not be a victim of your own fear. Just keep quiet, ignore them, do not communicate with them, talk to no one. Do not even tell your best friend this has happened to you. It will blow over on its own. You do not have to do a thing. You do not have to be afraid of any consequences because there will not be any for you.

They scam way too many people for them to keep track of. Provided you did not use any identifying markers, such as your real name as your username, they cannot identify you from the next student. They will not find you here provided you followed the safety rules as advised when you signed up. This is a safe place to expose scammers. You have no fears or worries when you speak out here

The scam is most likely run by the same company, under different names then. Just ignore them. They cannot harm you in any way. You did not even use the paper they gave you as they expected you to. If the threat was real, you would still be well covered in terms of any academic dishonesty violations.

@WillArdo
No worries. You are not under investigation and you do not need to pay them anything. Do not communicate with them. Send the emails from their address to spam. Do not be scared. They are using the same con they previously used on another student here. Which turned out to be the scam company being creative in presenting what look like authoritative emails to school and education authorities. Nothing like that will ever take place. You do not need to pay them anything specially since you did submit their paper for a grade, which is what they think you did. Using only a portion of the paper, with proper crediting does not fall under plagiarism of academic dishonesty standards. You used the model paper exactly as it was designed to be used. Do not answer their calls. Block their numbers. Do not allow them to get to you mentally. Shut them out. If you have any questions, ask away, we will do our best to set your mind at ease. Your mental health is very important to us.

@a1writer, this looks like another case where you might be able to help. Care to try? It is another scam UK company it seems.

Writing Careers / Why choose a freelance writer? [15]

This is very good advice. Specially the part about looking out for freelance writer scammers because they do exist. One may not just have come across such a freelancer yet. I hope that you will not turn out to be one of those who see the students more as prey rather than as a client. It is important that you heighten your visibility at this forum to help give students looking for independent writers another option. This forum is sadly, lacking in choices when it comes to honest freelancers. Not to say that the resident freelancer is dishonest. He just tends to get in over his head sometimes. It is nice to see the start of what might be a healthy competition between freelancers at this forum. Best of luck to your quest finding clients to work with here ! Now I can say that students actually have options and can make personal informed decisions when hiring a freelance writer from this forum.

Well that company did not last long. For one thing, the owner cannot even spell so he got a difficult to access url. For another thing, he was going alone, with no idea of how gain clients. He was too small time in a business that requires money to be spent to make money. He may have had the right intentions but no workable business plan. I cannot say I am sad he did not make it. He knew nothing about the business. He never stood a chance of making it even in the short term.

.Students do not normally feel bad about paying writers to help them out with their written school tasks for reasons known only to them. They need not share the reasons why they do it or explain what led them to do it. They only feel bad when they do not get the value for money that they paid for. They feel scared and threatened when the writing company or writer blackmails them for more money that the original paper was worth. They feel bad when they are duped into thinking that the writer wanted to help them when, all the while, the writer had some bad intent in mind. Then the students have a reason to feel bad for hiring a writing service or an independent writer.

The domain name is now available for sale. The ownership reverted to the server provider who also provided the url services for the company. It is senseless to be discussing bait and switch or other things negative about a non-existent company. Why they drove themselves out of business is something we will never know, and should not want to know anymore since they are no longer a problem for students looking for reliable academic writers. It would be better to hope that the owners of this company and their writers do not resurface under a new company name because then they would have just gone the way of a chameleon on everyone concerned.

There is enough evidence of Professional Essay Writers being a scam that should be avoided by the students. Their rankings in trust websites alone are proof of student problems with their company. Do not just take the word of Essay Scam users for it. You can find these wrongdoings for yourself across the web. As for Write My Essay, the company is nothing more than a pop up fraud at this point. The url does not lead to a website, just a sweepstakes that is activated by a click of the link. The link tries to plant malware into your system, which I found out when the warning signals went off like a fire alarm in my computer after clicking the link. It just represents a scam amazon raffle contest right now. Do not make the same mistake I did. Do not click the link.

The OP was just a saber rattler and nothing more. He wanted the attention of the people at this forum, and he got it. However, his claims were never backed up by any evidence. Using "take my word for it" accusations should be ignored not only because it fails to prove the validity of the claims, but because that is the stance often taken by competitors in this business. Yes, the company he mentions has scam affiliates and its owner is well known as a criminal in the academic circles. However, students need solid evidence of these scam claims. They are dense in that way. Actually, some of them would hire a scam company and writer even when they are presented with hard evidence regarding not hiring the said company or person. I believe none of the students that lurk at this forum ever believed the OP. What do I think about his list? I'll keep that private in this case.

Exercise caution when dealing with this company. Learn from the mistakes of others here who have hired companies to help them with assignment completion and exams. These are the 2 areas of study that could prove to be the most dangerous and problematic for students who will trust any writing service. Along with these dangerous hiring considerations, also keep in mind that the company have several VoIP phone numbers covering various parts of the globe. They do not admit to having a central office anywhere. They merely keep branch offices but do not list where these are located aside from a country and phone number. Both of which can easily be masked to hide their true location.

The website of the company is highly unprofessional and shows that they have been hiring others to write their web content. The problem, is that the people they hired were not very good at what they do. The might have even hired their own writers to produce that garbage. So take their blub as an example of their work and think twice about hiring their services.

There are other red flags related to this company that make them a dangerous company to deal with and I could point them all out here. I trust that the students can spot the problems for themselves since I have pointed out a few warning signs for them to take note of.

The second website that the company established is no longer online. From the looks of it, the website went offline fairly recently as the server still connects but no longer loads the related company pages. Since the owner of the company is located in the Philippines, as reported in this thread, maybe they ran out of money and could no longer keep both sites running. They decided to keep the better known company active instead. Do not misunderstand, just because the older company remained online does not mean that the company is better. As this thread warns, it is still a scam site and will never improve from that. It is just that they know how to balance the negative and positive reviews for their company so have managed to outlast their competition so far.
