I do not believe that it is fair to judge the writing companies or independent writers who use free domain and other services to keep their business afloat. Just because a company or person uses free addresses, VoIP numbers, and freemail doesn't mean that they will deliver shoddy work. It just means that they are doing their best to earn an income, without having to fork out too much cash for flashy company related promotions. After all, it is the quality of the work delivered that counts. It has nothing to do with the pomp and pageantry, or the amount of money that the person or company spends every month to keep up the image of a responsible company or business owner. It's all about the final product. The students will never take the time to investigate a company that deeply because all they want is the job done and a good grade. Which means all of those criteria mean nothing to the student. The student won't waste his time. Even though I often advise them to at least vet the writer and the company, I know my advice often falls on deaf ears.

To answer your first question, you should not have even tried to get them to fix the paper in the first place. You should have immediately demanded a refund from them based on the grade that you got and the assurances they gave during the ordering process. Don't bother asking your friend to order the paper for you. If you are not willing to pay a premium price, they will still raffle off your friend's order among the crappy writers pool. The amount of money you pay, not necessarily to time frame for the work completion, is normally what sets the order apart from the others. The higher the cost, the better the writer. That is a given. The grade that you want and the quality you hope to receive are equivalent to the amount you are willing to pay the company, not necessarily the writer, who probably got a pittance for the work anyway. If I were the OP, I would have simply shopped my assigned to another service and paid more this time around. There will definitely be an improvement in the paper quality that will be received. That is guaranteed.

I take it that the OP used the service without doing his due diligence beforehand. A student who is looking to hire a writing company should be sure to check into the company reviews, FAQ section on the website, and their terms and conditions prior to signing up with them. All of the information required that could give the potential client an idea as to how this company does business can be found in the FAQ and TOS of the site. As for the review, I would never ask a student to sign up with a service that cannot be verified or vouched for by my peers or forums such as ES. I understand that the student feels cheated and would like to scream bloody hell into the faces of the company owners. However, it really sounds like he is more to blame in this instance. Everything he says that happened to him could have been avoided. He was just in a rush to hire a company and had little to no budget allotted for the project. That's the main reason why he hired the company. He wanted to get quality work at discount prices. That is never going to happen. Discount prices always amount to sloppy work. That is the reality of the situation. I am just sad he had to learn that lesson the hard way.

I recently purchased an exercise work table so that I could fully utilize my work time and also save on gym memberships. My system allows me to walk on a treadmill while I work at the computer. I find that it helps to boost my creativity. Somehow, my creative juices get kicked into high gear, making the work more enjoyable and faster to accomplish. After I finish working, I make sure to get into my massage chair for a full body massage. I normally do this before bed, after my shower. It gets all of muscle aches and pains out and also relaxes my mind enough so that I can fall asleep faster. I normally wake up fully refreshed and ready to tackle another work day.

Generally, the student volunteer their online library access codes to the writers, not the other way around. Most universities have an IP address tracker installed and would boot the writer out of the system even if he had the access codes because of the location of his IP address. As such, he would not be able to use the online library. He would have access to a part of your student data though, which could still be a dangerous thing. Don't submit your access codes to anybody. Instead, offer to send electronic copies of the material. You might trigger an investigation into your account should the system have an IP tracker, which could lead to the uncovering of your hiring a writer to do your paper. It's better to play safe. Don't do it.

Students tend to shy away from academic writing companies these days. Mostly because they don't want to get scammed or have apprehensions about plagiarism. However that is not to say that the students have stopped hiring writers totally. It is difficult to keep the business afloat these days because of these reasons, which are just two among the many reasons companies are struggling. While the websites have gotten flashier, and they have learned to use social media to promote their business, the companies continue to flounder because their reputations precede them. I wonder if the OP was able to keep his company afloat. Having one regular client will not pay for all of the expenses attached to running the server. It sounds like he did not make it and I can understand why. Sometimes, the bad image of other companies just rub off on an honest one. Making it more difficult for the honest company to stay in business. The best way to increase the popularity of his website? I think he should have given his one client an affiliate fee, just to help promote his company at his place of study. Sometimes, one has to spend money to make money.

If a student manages to hire a proper writer who actually knows how to do his job, then he can expect to get a decent mark for his paper. Not all the academic online writers are just out to fleece students. There are some who really want to do go a good job and deliver the expectations of the client. After all, their repeat business is dependent upon the way that they impress the client with the final grade the paper gets. Therefore, I truly believe that there are students who get above average grades for their work. I should know, I am one of the writers whose repeat clients is based on the target grade the client has, and my ability to deliver above their target grade. A student happy with his grade means the writer gets a retainer for the rest of the semester.

Unless the student willingly works with a writing company, that acts as the middleman, the students basically direct hire their writers these days. All it will take is one simple public tweet for that student to get swamped with offers from freelance writers. Independent writers for the picking. No rules in place except what they agree upon with the writer. Payments made directly to the writer. Client services, also the direct responsibility of the writer. I noticed that students also post ads in specific sections of this forum, which also serves to remove the agent in the process. I think that it is because of the trust that students have placed in social media and its ability to help them get the assistance they need that the writing companies have seen a downturn in their writing orders.

Actually, I have come across a company that did not mind having the writer and client contact each other directly via WhatsApp. The client had the app and so did the writer. The reason the company did not mind allowing them to talk directly was because the payment was still made directly to the company and as such, still left the whole completion of the deal in the hands of the company. Did the writer have direct access to the client from then on? Nope. Why? The client changed his WhatsApp number and the messages being sent by the writer remained unanswered. So, would it be a bad idea for students to have direct access to the writers? I don't think so.

It is difficult to say when and if a company is truly fraudulent when dealing with a writer. Sometimes the client is the one that initiates the refund based on a writer's sloppy work. Other times, the company sticks the writer with an unfair fine. Personally, I would rather see evidence of the writer's inability to deliver the work requirements of the student before I believe anybody who cries out that the company is unfairly treating a writer and confiscates the income of the writer for no reason. I will admit that there are companies that do that. However, that is not always the case. LR is just like any other third rate writing company. It looks for ways to fine their writers. However, if the writer does not make the job of fining them easy, then they won't face payment confiscations or fines. The person above sounds like a disgruntled employee. Note that there is no proof pertaining to his accusation. He just expects us to take his declaration at face value. Something I was taught early in life not to do. What we know companies do to their writers is one thing. Claiming it was unfair is another. Show proof, then make claims.

Essay Services / Best Private writers [27]

It is true that directly hiring your writer, what some others call a private writer service, is one of the best ways to end up with the writer that will meet your needs, it does not assure you of the quality of work beforehand. Hiring a private writer is also done on an "at your own risk" basis because first time clients will not have any proof of work quality and efficiency at the start of their dealings. It is all based on the internet equivalent of a handshake deal. The chance of hiring a bum private writer is just as high as the chances of getting your work assigned to a deficient company hired freelance writer. So a private writing service cannot immediately be qualified as a "best bet". It is only when the client receives the final version of the paper from the private writer that he may claim to have found the "best" writing services for his needs.

What I don't understand is why the student would send the corrected files to the client. I mean, the best option there would have been to send the reading materials to the writer instead of the edited version of the paper. The client could have very well accepted the terms of a refund with publication if he had not send them his version of the work. I mean, c'mon, the whole idea of hiring them was to make sure that you have the information required to complete the PhD paper. It was never meant to be used in the final copy. That is always where the students make a mistake. Never assume that you will hire a writer who will be able to give you a completely usable paper. In order to truly avoid plagiarism and blackmail concerns, always rewrite the paper you receive and never, never, send it back to the company. You are asking for trouble when you do that. Not to mention the company sees you as a gullible, perfect victim for their scams. Had the client revised paper been kept instead of sent to the company, the client could very well have maintained his innocence and claim that he wrote an original paper, without any research assistance.

These days, it seems that the Ukrainians are involved in any shady business one can think of. They have managed to negatively affect the legitimate academic writing world and bring down the quality of education worldwide because of their scam and con games. The custom term paper writing business is the easiest for them to infiltrate and do a scam and run con on the students because they do not need to be physically located anywhere to complete the task. All they need is a website, internet connection, and server to cheat a bunch of students and hard working writers. It is a business where the only winner are the Ukrainians. They have become pretty efficient at getting money to come into their coffers, without ever having to let too much money out to their employees / freelance writers.

As far as I know, Spires only assists in the writing of the essays. They do not do the work themselves. They are mostly tutors who claim to be "American" or "British", and highly trained in their field of expertise. All of which I doubt. The most these crooked companies probably did was hire American or British looking natives of their country and then trained them to fake an accent. A practice as old as the third world call-center industry. Frankly, I do not believe they should be trusted to write a paper because they advertise themselves as "tutors". As the word implies, they are learning assistants. Don't trust them to write the paper. The services are overpriced and you can get the same kind of writing assistance, free of charge, at your local university writing center. That is, if you want to really put in the time to write the paper so you can get it right the first time.

All services that you come across online, regardless of whether it is in the form of online shopping or academic writing for hire, come with a measured amount of risk. The question is, are you willing to take that risk with your paper? If yes, then you entered into the deal, with a company or with a writer, with your eyes wide open. There is no foolproof way of assuring that you will get what you paid for because you do not physically meet with your writer and watch him complete every stage of writing your paper. The only way to can tell if a writer can be trusted is by hiring the writer's service. You should have a gut feeling as to whether he can complete your paper or not simply by the way that you vet him. Ask the right questions and you get the right writer, eventually. You will make mistakes in hiring a writer or a company at the start, but as you learn to spot the red flags, you will gradually learn how to hire the right company and writer. Eventually, you will hire the perfect writer and stick with the service of that one writer until you graduate. In fact, there are some writers here to become ghost writers for their clients as professionals. All because of the trust factor that had been built between the two over time.

Accrued charges are all about one thing. The company is stingy. They have a preset idea in mind as to how much they want to pay their writers collectively and then, individually, depending upon the writer's status at the company. By withholding funds for the writer's salary, they get the money to work for them / earn more for the company profits, before it needs to be release to the writer. It isn't legal but then again, the writers who are signed up with a company work in a gray area. There are no legally set rules in place for the company to follow. They make up the payment rules as they go along and all the poor writer can do is go along for the ride. In effect, the writer simply has to accept what he cannot change.

The main reason students drop out of college? Everything today is about the gig economy. Everyone can be a seller, just sign-up at a website. Anybody can be a novelist, just sign up with a free e-book publisher. Anybody can be a gourmet cook, just start your own YouTube channel. You get where I am going with this. Technology has allowed people the freedom to be who they want to be, and monetize it in the process, all without needing a formal education. The main point of going to college is to get the proper training so that one can get employed and earn a salary. The gig economy changed all that. Now, you just need to know how to come up with an interesting slant so you can monetize your talent, skill, or interests. That's why Patreon, YouTube, Instagram, and other social media sites have decided to support these people. That's why college is no longer as important as it was before. Anybody can earn money if they can figure out how. All it takes are the right (non-college related) tools. Got a cellphone camera? Congratulations, you have your first piece of equipment, go ahead and blog, vlog, hashtag something. With enough followers, you will get paid for what you are doing. It beats listening to a boring lecture anytime.

What I love about working as an academic writer is that it served as the platform for me to be able to do other jobs within the writing business. I have found myself employed as a speechwriter for political candidates, television productions, and even advertising agencies. I have flourished as a published author in several opinion magazines, and I have also managed a very successful advice blog for my clients and potential clients. In other words, I love how working as an academic writer has allowed me to discover my other talents and pushed me to try and succeed in other fields of writing that I would not have considered before. It allowed me to develop professionally, gave me a chance to do a job that keeps me happy, and has allowed me to grow as an individual at the same time. All without having to report to a daily grind kind of job. I never find myself bored by the job. There is always a new adventure in store with every paper I accept for research and development that makes it all worth the while.

I cannot speak for other writing companies but, there are several that I know of that have outright blacklisted writers for selling their accounts. The companies did some "spring cleaning" and discovered that more than a few of their writers had sold their accounts, which led to quality problems when it came to client orders. How did the blacklist work? Well, remember how one company can have several "affiliates" that use the same writer's pool? Yep. They made sure that the writer would not be able to apply for a job at a satellite company. They also made sure to share the information with other friendly writing companies, which led to more than several writers becoming unemployable in the end. The person who bought the account? He was out of luck. He was out the cost of the writer's account and also out of a job. Moral of the story? Don't try to work the system. If you can't get the job on your own merits, then you must be trying to gain employment in the wrong line of work.

Based on what I have experienced, the students, regardless of their English abilities, find themselves disappointed for one reason alone, they do not get the service they paid for. Just as in any situation, the students expect to get their monies worth when it comes to their order. They pay not only for service, but for the quality of work. The quality must be commensurate to the price paid. Understand that the students come to the writing service or the writer because they are desperate to get a good grade. So when they get a mediocre paper, of course they will be disappointed and angry. I am not saying that the reasons presented in the thread are false. What I am saying is that there is a bottom-line reason for the disappointment and it has to do with unfulfilled expectations and disappointment when it comes to their grade.

Students learn by experience. Just like everything else, learning how to hire a writer has a learning curve. The more mistakes they make, which are sometimes individualized experiences, the more they learn how to vet the writer or company. There is no one single method of avoiding these fraudulent websites. It's always based on several encounters, both positive and negative. The negative experiences are lessons learned and the positive experiences, are signs to look for in a good writer or company. The listing above offers good advice, but the students won't always go through all the required investigations when their paper is on a deadline. In this instance, experience will always be the best teacher.

There is no sense in pretending. Everyone in the freelance writing community are, as Paris Hilton once put it, frenemies. They are superficially friends, but enemies when it comes to vested interests. The friendships are actually networks. Networks that ensure that a writer who does not have the background, capacity, or capability to write a specific order, manage to keep a hold of the order and make money from it. Even if only a percentage as part of an intricate referral system. That's not to say that such a set-up is bad. Since everyone involved benefits from it, there is nothing wrong with it.

However, asking a new member to to bow to senior members of the forum just because they got here first is incorrect. Respect begets respect. Nobody comes here looking for trouble. The so-called seniors are the ones who normally start picking on the newcomers who are just minding their own business.

In my opinion, it is best to simply ignore one another provided nobody steps into the territory of another writer by trying to poach his clients. Build your own market. The seniors already have a reliable list of regular clients. Simply ask the student if he already has contact with a writer at this forum and how long the professional relationship has been in place. Based on the length of time, a new writer may or may not decide to take on the student. This business is a free-market and the rules of the free market should apply to a certain degree.

Writing Careers / Becoming a Freelance Essay Writer [28]

Just like anybody starting in a new career, it is always best to start at the lowest position, working your way up, until you are finally capable of becoming self-employed. In this case, I would have advised the OP to try and get employed at a writing company first. Learn the business from them. That is, provided that the OP could pass the "writer's test" of these companies. Passing means he has the ability to write in an acceptable manner. Failing would mean he thinks too highly of himself. It is not easy to become a freelance writer. The eventual success that writers gain comes from rejection, failure, and eating humble pie. The successful freelance writer experiences the same as a regular office worker. In the end though, the ability to breakaway from the company and work for himself makes the (oftentimes) horrendous work experience worth it.

As a general rule, students should not consider any writer or company that contacts them directly through this forum with one exception. Only companies listed under the Research Services, EssayChat, and EssayBrand flags can be considered to be reliable in terms of quality. As for individual writers, rely on the Featured writers and Academic Writer list. These are the writers who have a reliable track record when it comes to academic writing. Writers who directly approach the people at this forum should be considered "flagged" and dealt with in a cautious manner. Since they have not been vetted, any student who decides to deal with them directly does so at their own risk. ES set up the reliable listings for a reason. Students should use it for the purpose it was designed. To put them in touch with reliable services and writers.

Thinking about it, the question posed makes sense. Does the location and nationality of the writer really matter when a student is placing an order? If one were to consider that there are thousands of foreign students educated both in the USA and UK who return to their home country, who or what is to stop them from kick-starting a career in academic writing? After all, they were foreign educated for the last part of their educational requirements. The only answer I could come up with is, it would not matter so much if the writers were foreign educated or, at least able to provide a decent research paper written in coherent English. Since the overseas educated students would most likely end up in a professional career instead of becoming academic writers, then the location and nationality of the student does become a consideration when hiring a writer. Why hire someone who is not located in the US or Europe and who will most likely not be able to complete the paper without countless revisions (and still not be able to deliver what is required)? It is for these very reasons that the companies and writers try to mask their actual location and names.

A native English speaking writer will only be as good as the materials he uses for research when writing the paper. If the ENL is a fantastic researcher, then he will turn in a good, if not impressive paper, that will benefit the person who hired him. If his research is bad, then the paper will also be bad and not help the client. The better writing doesn't come only from the writer's ability to write in fluent English. It also comes from his ability to analyze and explain topics and evidence in written form. I am not saying that the concept of ENL's as good writers is a myth. What I am saying is that any writer, ENL or otherwise, given the same materials, and with equal English writing abilities, should be able to produce a usable paper for the student.

Most students have already come to the realization that the companies that managed to remain listed in Google carry more red flags than red flags. It would even be more advisable to simply use the search function of the social media sites to find reliable independent writers. I always say, there is no better way to hire a writer than to directly vet the writer. Sure we have a listing of reliable writers on this site and yes, there are also approved companies that can be trusted based on the trust that ES gives the company. However, that does not mean that the working relationship will be smooth sailing. Recommendations are just that, people pointing you in what you hope to be the right direction. Deciding whether the referral is something you are comfortable with is another thing. So, consider all other options while seeking independent writers. As much as possible, do not rely on academic writing companies, save for those recommended by ES, to help you avoid any potential problems with the order you will be placing.

I haven't been in a brick and mortar library since I was in college. Come to think of it, do actual libraries still exist outside of the university setting? I haven't had an actual need to go to a local library for the papers I write because I require the students to submit their required reading materials electronically. I also request that they give me access to their electronic books used in class or that they email me copies of their printed class materials. When needed, I ask them to find the source materials they prefer I use so that they will at least, get some information about the topic I am writing about for them. That way, they also cannot claim that I did not use the materials that they asked me to use. Hey, I'm writing the paper, the least the student can do is provide the material for the content.

That is the reason why those websites use Chinese as their main language on the site. It is a demographic specific service for the rich and spoiled Chinese students. They also do not employ as many people as one may think. Some of these companies are managed by just 2 persons, usually with nepotism involved. That is why they can charge less and still make a profit for themselves. It is lucrative for them to run the company based on the exchange rate of the US dollar or British Pound to their own currency. I would never say that the information applies to just a specific one. This article, though meant as a hit job on LR, exposed the shared secrets of writing companies within the European region. The company claims to specialize in computer science writing. I am not sure why they would try to sell themselves as a specialist company when there are highly capable CS writers all over the web. More importantly, the other writers, such as those found on LinkdIn can do the work competently at a more affordable price. I mean, sure, clients have to pay a premium price for these sorts of papers. However, the prices the company cites are out of this world. A student on a budget would find it difficult to hire their services, which will probably not be any good anyway since their writers are not capable of doing the job. Sorry, but that is how I qualify the talents of most writers attached to a writing company. The writing company is no better than an Asian call center, unable to do properly do the job but being employed anyway just to keep the employee quota in line. Don't hire from these types of sites, Negotiate with independent writers instead. That's the best way to be sure of the quality of work you will be paying for.

It is difficult for an independent writer to rely solely on forums and chat rooms, even social media, for a regular flux of clients. The market tends to get easily saturated in those areas so, unless a writer knows how to use local employment networks, it will be hard to get regular gigs. I have found that using some local chat rooms, such as the business chat room of my co-op and the group chat room of my kids school have helped me participate in alternative methods of service promotion and publicity. Private chats work well when offering my services to parents who need help with their children's homework and because we know each other or I am recommended by people they know, I often get the contract and in the process, get repeat clients for the rest of the academic year. Of course this is an open secret and nobody squeals since everyone is in on the benefits of the service.

ESL students do not take kindly to being looked down upon. They are actually some of the most critical clients a freelance writer can have. They would rather hire ENL writers than ESL writers. They want to come across as intelligent and able to clearly explain themselves in written English, even if their spoken English tells the teacher otherwise. The ESL students know that they can draft, edit, revise, and finalize a written paper to have near perfect English grammar or perfect English grammar. The teacher will think that they are at least capable of writing coherently in English. An ESL writer cannot portray himself as such, which means an "acceptable" ESL writer may find that he will not be hired as often nor be able to charge as highly as an ENL writer.

Essays are mostly opinion papers that reflect upon the work of others and respond to specific questions based on a given text. It does not require actual research, hence, no referencing is required. The difference between an essay paper (no citations) from a research paper (requires citations) can be seen clearly in the way the assignments of these tasks are presented to the students:

Essay: Read chapter 11 of your history book. In an essay of 500 words, explain what you believe is the most important factor that led to the American Civil war. (Personal opinion discussion, no citations required. Source material already provided and known to the teacher. )

Research: Discuss the history of the N-Cov virus from its history as a simple cold virus. (Research paper, requires citations, sources not known to the teacher)

That is why essays do not require citations within the presentation nor a citation list at the end.

This company is making unbelievable claims across the website. I find it hard to believe that the writers of the company can truly deliver the implied one-stop-shop services indicated. I also tend to question their video testimonials which have the look and feel of paid talents on-cam. In other words, the whole site is a red flag and students should be careful when dealing with them. While their services might have improved over time, there is a higher likelihood that they only learned to scam the students in a more subtle manner and the people behind the company learned that potential clients respond better to gloss. They tend to stop looking for red flags. So be forewarned. If something looks too professionally done, it will be better not to trust the company.

Essay writing companies have a pretty large writers pool at their disposal. However, the client doesn't always have the liberty to pick the type of writer that will get assigned to the order. The reason is because the order goes into a common server, where all the available orders come online for writers to bid on. If a bidding system is not in place, then the writers, depending upon their ratings, will have direct access to choose the order straight from the listing. The best thing to do will be indicate your writer preference, based on ratings and English skill level, from the moment you place the order. Most companies will include these specifications once the order is uploaded. This will then limit the number of writers who will receive the notification regarding your order. With such specifics in place, there is a higher possibility that your previous writer will not get the notice and thus, save you from having to deal with the writer again.
