What's interesting is how students manage to find writing services nobody heard of before (if they can do that, they can search here too I guess..). Check out the "recommended services" tab on the main page.

Maybe there are less students in college (high tuition costs and it may be harder to get a loan)? What about the 'pre-written' paper sales - proportionally down too?

What if the majority of students have a college degree - in that case those who want careers should aim for a graduate degree instead ;)

Related to this service - it may be troubling to some professional writing service representatives and freelance writers out there to read about the deceitful statements, supported by Wikipedia. For example, from: ukessays/situation-cheating.php:

Where did custom essays originate?

The idea of the custom essay was pioneered as a professional service by Barclay in 2003: the first of his companies was 'Academic Answers Limited'. Barclay's company ethos was to legitimise a business, which had existed as an underground operation for a great deal of time.

There are at least three companies that have been providing professional 'custom essay services' (CustomPapers, GraduateWriter, and EssayTown from the US, for example; there are also a couple of foreign ones) that have actually pioneered as a professional academic research service before 2003, so the statement is either intentionally or unintentionally inaccurate.

If you search by 'paperdue' here you'll get some results, but mostly related to paperduenow.com - are these the same services (most likely not)? It's a little confusing why the name would be changed, but maybe you have more information by now to share.

This site uses common layout and design theme shared by a dozen of other services (so their marketing approach is quantity, not quality). There's no mention about the formal / registered company name or company location (which usually means it's not the US/UK/Australia). $28 per page is not a steep price for a PhD-level research. You may try to start a live chat and ask about more details (post the results here ;).

ESL writers are not the only ones who live in 'cheap' countries; more and more native speakers of English and/or English teachers move to those countries as well (in the hope for cheaper and better alternatives). You're right that the quality is not yet equal, but it's getting closer and closer. Anyway, the point was that overall / worldwide the earnings in the 'first-world countries' are stagnant and in time the other countries may catch up. That's why, living and working from Thailand, Vietnam, China, India, etc. is not a bad idea for an educated (and adventurous ;) freelance writer.

The liberal economy is what it is, ie. steady decline. 8-12 years of the same and US/UK writers could be on the same earnings level as Kenyan or Indian writers. 'Leveling of the playing field' is related to the world economy (not to the local/US/UK only); the field will be leveled once a writer from NYC or London makes about the same as a writer from Nairobi or New Delhi. The only reasonable solution is to move to a (still) cheap country and do freelancing from there.

Yes, the trend is there. There could be many reasons, but the greatest one may be the declining economy (students don't have as much money as they used to). Or maybe it's the nice weather ;).

lost all privacy AND the inherent value of their papers as one-of-kind products

Correct. In addition, it's important to consider the fact that once something is published online, it is scraped/copied by dozens of 'scraping robots' that will eventually re-publish the content in multiple places (then, even if the content is removed from one of the sources, it will still be hosted online on other domains in a few different countries/jurisdictions).

we will automatically add it to our student database and it will be published

So.. if a student submits a PhD dissertation then they will just publish this dissertation as their own without the student's written consent (and make money on this free content)? If that's the case I see absolutely no value using this 'service.'

Btw - are they related to grammarly? - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grammarly -- the fact they have 'an office' in Kiev, Ukraine, makes me think there may be something doubtful going on.

The first thing to ask for is a plane ticket to Australia / Canada to make sure the IP matches the country. Second, ask for a selfie of the student to put it in front of the camera ;) But seriously, I don't know a reputable writer who would try to cheat the system like that and take classes online for another student; not only it's risky, but also unethical / illegal.

When it's on Google or Bing, there's no problem for a seasoned freelance writer to tackle the challenge and successfully complete the job. Maybe except for highly specialized assignments requiring stats/math calculations or physical/chemical/financial analyses etc.

New website, deleted domain registered in 2012. Internet research shows pro-papers is most likely located in Asia. WHOIS info is hidden from the public (IF they were located in the US/UK/Australia/Canada they would not try to hide it). Evidence suggests they spam some 'review websites' with the highest ratings (these reviews have usually been published within the same period of time, which again strongly suggests they are not real).

Essay Services / SimpleTense.com review/advice [5]

Have you visited the site? It's in Chinese and the English parts are in a testing mode. How do you even know that they provide application essay services ;) Perhaps you're their agent posing as a student; that would not be surprising here. I found and checked their 'editors' page: simpletense.com/meet-the-editors and the profiles of the 'editors' look fabricated (they are from the too good to be true category.)

It's true that most freelance writers don't care to expand their knowledge and 'skills' (some of them don't have to and most of them don't like to ;). Still, learning and expanding knowledge is inevitable when working on an academic writing assignment (regardless whether it's editing, proofreading, or custom writing). Regarding your thesis statement, it's quite interesting..

The only people who care about plagiarism are professors.

Not so sure about that; students want to pass and graduate and professors don't want to deal with problems either. Besides, what would change if the 'academic outsourcing industry' was mainstream; it is (and will be) legal to order a custom academic paper and use it as an example for your own, original research.

What's it all about; you cannot control a contract writer, unless you plan to work with regular (w-2) employees?

Virtually all of the threads available on the public forums are vapid and value-repellant.

Today, in the other message, you wrote: "I've been an unregistered observer on this site on and off for many years now." So, could you explain what made you stick to the website and forum for so many years ;)

How do you know your local customers will trust you; are you a student hoping that other students will start using your writing service? How much per page (300 words) are you going to pay?

assigns or re-assigns work to writers

Right, but the point was that a company can have a dozen of potential writers who can (willingly) take the order and successfully complete it, whereas with a freelancer the choice is very narrow.

with freelance writers, once the project is paid for, it's scheduled to be written by the writer the customer hired for the project

It may be scheduled, but it often happens that a freelancer takes more than he/she is able to complete and then starts working with a weak/cheap ESL writer. You say you work with other freelance writers, but I doubt their fees are more expensive than yours.

respond to emails 365 days a year

What about vacations; do freelancers work 24/7/365? A big advantage of working with a company is that there is customer service 24/7/365 and if one of the writers fails to deliver, the order can easily be reassigned and completed. You may have a backup, but they will never be able to meet the high standards of professional customer service and writers.

It looks @wp.pl email is the primary email associated with the Paypal account and the @outlook is another email associated with the account. There may be a logical explanation, but for now it seems that Steven = Michal.

FW, you also claim you are an experienced, reliable, honest writer with a law degree, but one could argue these are just your personal and unverified claims...
