I am not sure if the personal tutoring business actually took off in the way that it could have due to the prevalence of AI these days. However, there are still some independent writers who do not mind offering a writing guidance service these days. Most of them have taken to social media to advertise "seminars" that will teach you how to write your paper in a few days. These seminars often come with some consultation credits so students who still want to write their paper on their own take up the teaching offer. It is quite a popular ad on FB so there must be a market for it among the students.

The companies that they call their partners would never legally/truthfully partner with them in a million years. None of these companies would be caught dead working with this type of shady company. There is nothing legitimate about their partnership claims, which should have you wondering as to whether or not they are an on the level type of company. All of the claims they make on their page can easily be refuted. It would be better to not work with them at all. There are too many red flags on their website to be ignored.

Since students do not rely so much on website listing anymore for their search needs, they tend to turn to social media searches much more these days, it is no longer advisable to open a website for your business needs. If you already have an existing one, then congratulations and keep it up. These days though, writers are more easily found and negotiated with via social media sites. So you need to develop your brand instead of your website these days. Get creative and use the likes of Insta, FB, and X to advertise your essay writing services.

The more technology becomes prevalent in the educational system, the more the students find themselves overwhelmed with classwork, projects, training, etc. All of which are supposed to help them become better members of the 21st century workforce. Overwhelming them does not help make them better workers, it just makes them better at looking for ways to get help so they can complete their tasks. Should we call that laziness? I do not think so. They are only reacting to the demands of the 21st century educational system. They are not cheating, they are finding creative ways to get the help that they need to meet their academic requirements.

Some human writers have been lucky enough to get a few clients by advertising their services on Facebook. That is not to say that it has become a lucrative job for them. On the contrary, they are hanging in there, hoping that the AI preference of students will change and their writing talents will once again be needed. Until AI for academic use becomes a thing of the past, which I sincerely doubt will happen, human writers will see less and less of a niche for their services. It will be almost impossible for a human writer to penetrate a market where AI is fast easing them out of the workforce.

AI has really done a number on the available academic orders for both the company based and independent writers. The students tend to trust AI more to develop their papers, working very slightly on it to improve the content, if at all. Other companies have decided to jump on the AI bandwagon by offering AI writing services alongside their human writer services. The students, for some reason, are opting for the AI writer instead of the human writer for some reason. The number of academic orders have not changed nor slowed down. What has changed, is the appetite of the clients for hiring human writers. Until the AI trend comes to pass, we will see fewer and fewer writing jobs available for human writers.

The advent of same day international bank transfers (for affiliated banks) and the ease of ewallet payment transfers have rendered Western Union obsolete already. Their prices are not competitive anymore and have cause them to be the last payment consideration for most people. I do not even know if there are still people that use WU these days. I do not see any signs advertising their services anymore.

The penalties that these companies have recently come up with are already laughable. For example, there is one writing company that penalizes the writer for "early submission" of the paper. They would rather that their writers do not upload the orders early. A penalty is applied for orders that are uploaded prior to a 12 hour deadline. The paper can only be submitted to the client 12 hours before the deadline time. Otherwise, the writer is penalized based on the number of hours early that he submitted the paper. They make up penalties just to keep more of the profit.

The quality of work from the essay writing service cannot be judged by the expensive cost of their papers. Rather, the quality of the work can only be properly priced if one obtains a sample work from the company. That sample work should help any potential client judge if the writers of the company will be able to address their academic writing needs or, if they should consider hiring an independent writer instead. The independent writers are usually more expensive, but worth the price. I am just not sure if the independent writers have also had to discount their costing these days as some academic writing companies have already been doing.

Both previously mentioned companies are no longer functioning While answerstohomework has totally taken down their website, the other, homeworkcrest, is still trying to sell their domain name. Nether company seems to have had any reason to stay in business for long. I guess they could not keep up with the demands of a 21st century education in Western and European schools since their educational system is one of the worst in the world. These 2 companies both came out of the poor regions and barely have an educational system to speak of. There was no way that they were going to be able to keep their con going for long.

Colleges and universities across the world have a bigger problem to deal with now other than the cheating students do via essay writing services. These days, they can overlook the paid essay services because they are barely used by the students. Their problem now is with regard to how to get students to stop using AI when it comes to writing their papers. Using AI is worse than using than academic writer because the writer helps the student turn in a paper of substance. AI does not. So professors and universities have needed to pivot their attention when it comes to enforcing academic honesty. How does one enforce a no cheating, no plagiarism code when AI is involved in the creation of the paper?

AR is struggling to pay their writer's these days. In fact, they have not only frozen their hiring but, they are actively looking for ways to release their writers from their non binding company contracts. The writers try to stay on as long as they can because the company has been known to pay their writers fairly. However, the lack of orders have proven to be the main difficulty of the company at the moment, which affects their regular writer roster. They have not promoted a junior writer in over a year from what I have heard.

With the academic writing market being what it is these days, writers would be most appreciative of any form of profit sharing that they can get from the company. That is, provided that the company is honest about wanting to pay them a fair rate and isn't just doing a bait and switch on them, which would definitely cause the company to lose their writers. Writing companies are said to be lowering the cost per page for even their most seasoned writers these days. Yet, the writers stay on because they have their backs to the wall and nowhere to go.

Writing Careers / Starting your own writing service? [31]

Whoever thought that the academic writing business would forever be changed post Covid? None of us ever saw the advent of artificial intelligence as a writing tool all those years ago. Post Covic, we were all prepared to eventually deal with the New Normal, but not that technology would slowly take over the writing jobs. That said, what was mentioned above still holds true today. The is not the time nor the climate within which to start your own writing service. It would be difficult to break into a market where Ai is fast becoming the norm.

The companies that are still active do tend to still treat the writers as disposable garbage. They do their best to cut the salary of the writer for every order received not because the student was not satisfied with the paper, but because they want to keep more of the profit for that order. So they make up charges and complaints that lead to refunds or penalties for the poor writer. Since they have control of the server, there is no way for the writer to verify the complaints against them. I tend to believe most of the charges are trumped up.

The company tries too hard to sell itself as a reliable service provider. It has so much gray colored fine print that I seriously doubt the potential clients bother to read it to the very end. That is not the best way to convince the client to hire a human writer over an AI program. The owner of the company needs to realize that the academic writing competition has changed and it is no longer just about plagiarism problems or the ability of the writer to complete the work. The owners are totally lost in their understanding of the new academic writing situation. The should work on becoming more relevant to the times if they want to have a chance of surviving in this AI controlled business these days.

I believe that there is a threshold for plagiarism considerations. If you only kept one sentence intact out of an 8 page paper, then there should not be an issue regarding it. Even if the program flags the sentence, the professor may opt to overlook it since it does not come close to the threshold for plagiarized or cited content within the paper. It would have been safer though, to have cited your previous paper as the source of the reference, just to avoid any plagiarism problems with the new paper. Yes, you are allowed to cite a paper you previously wrote as a source of information in a new, but related paper.

Since being an academic writer is an open secret in the educational community, it should not be seen as a negative if you identify yourself as an academic paper editor and assistant. There is a difference between an editor / assistant and an academic writer. The prior is better accepted as a legitimate part of the academic community while the latter, connotes a person that usually helps the student with paper completion, which is frowned upon by the professional writing industry. Try to avoid mentioning that you were an academic writer so that you will have a better chance at being considered for the position.

The better question to ask at the moment would be if the company is still doing well enough to pay the writers that they still have on staff. They have frozen their hiring status since June of last year. That does not bode well for the writers on staff. I am assuming that the company is another one that is struggling to find jobs for their active human writers and may also be planning to shift to an Ai essay writer program in the near future. It is more than likely that they will be releasing their writers from their current jobs soon.

Writing Careers / Writezillas Different Pay Scales [10]

Not much is known about the current hiring practices of the company because they have closed their hiring window at this time. Maybe there are not enough orders to go around anymore or, perhaps, they are in the process of shutting down the company. Since they have a hiring ban, they have also kept all the salary and pay scale information locked up for now. There is no way to accurately review their practices at this time. It is always best not to assume anything at this point. Let's see where the company ends up in 3 months.

ESL writers have been using AI to pass themselves off as native speakers. The students are already aware of this and have been steering clear of non ENL writers. While the OP did have acceptable writing skills, I sincerely doubt that he would be able to continue competing with more established writers and the writing technology that exists today. Even ENL writers find themselves without clients to work for, and these are ENL writers whose writing skills are at the proper level expected of US and UK students, It is not so much about the writing skills anymore as it is more about the way that technology has changed the academic writing for hire landscape.

There is something strange about this company. It has an existing anchor page that indicates the different sections of the website. However, these sections are not active. Even the instant quote is offline for some reason. What is "active" is the chat room, but I waited and waited yet no agent came online to assist me. So I am not sure if this site is still connected to an active company or not. It would be best to exercise caution and simply not deal with them. Do not risk it.

The company still has an active URL but is no longer connected to an active server. The company operations seem to have ceased recently and the company take down process is well underway. The URL is not for sale so it is safe to say that we will not see this reincarnated in any form within the near future. Being a Kenya based company explains why the company eventually ran out of money and why the owners did not think of reselling the domain name.

Speech recognition software has come such a long way already. Siri takes better instructions now. Alexa can almost guess what it is I want it to do even before I complete my sentence, Bixby recognizes voice imprints more accurately as well. I haven't had to use my laser pen on my laptop or mobile phone for about a year already. The addition of AI to the speech recognition software has made it the almost perfect digital assistant. However, it still gets confused by some dictated words and needs help in understanding some localized words. I guess that is the going to be the continuously evolving side of speech recognition and AI programs going forward.

Our view of the future in your writing career was viewed through rose colored glasses for such a long time. I miss those days when our careers were non threatened with irrelevance and we had more clients that we could handle. AI and the advent of modular classes changed all that. Modular classes now means that students can study at their own pace and submit their papers at their own pace as well. Deadlines are almost a thing of the past. AI writing is what students turn to because they do not have to spend on having a human writer do their class papers. Although AI plagiarism is still a problem, the students have gotten around it by reviewing and improving the paper themselves, or paying a human writer to improve the AI work. Either way, writers are becoming irrelevant because students have a strong belief in the way that AI will continue to improve and become a vital writing assistant for them both academically and professionally.

Essay Services / Nursingwritingservices.com [8]

The web copy seems to have not been updated in some time. The pop up advertisement still relates to their Black Friday offer, from last year I believe. If they are this remiss about updating their website then maybe, just maybe, they are in the process of shutting it down. I tried using their chatbot and it seems to have been taken offline too. This further solidifies my belief that we may be free of this scam site soon enough and other, legitimate writers who have the writing skills to tackle the work, even though they are not nursing graduates, will get a fair shot at completing nursing writing jobs.

It has become even more difficult to spot a writing cheater these days. AI models learn the writing styles of the students based upon the papers that they upload and as such, allows the AI to learn exactly how they write. What is their writing style? How about the tone of writing? AI can learn this and develop a paper that might pass through the teacher, who has no idea that the student is well versed in coming to terms with, earning a passing grade in the process since the teacher does not know that the paper had been previously used and then enhanced by AI to remove any semblances of the original.

This situation is something that could only happen in the pre AI days of the writing industry. These days, human writers employed as teachers will find it difficult to come by a student who unknowingly hired the services of his teacher to write the specific paper. They just have to run the file through an AI program and it will spew out a new essay based upon previously provided information.

Academic outsourcing is dying a slow and ignored death. Nobody seems to pay any attention to the regular demise of academic writing companies and the retirement of once highly active independent writers in this field. There is no future in academic writing and outsourcing where AI is fast taking over the human job. Pretty soon, AI will be able to judge a plagiarized paper for itself, which would mean that even plagiarism checkers may see their usefulness short lived.

Journalists these days have a bigger problem to report on. That is, the rise of AI as a learning tool for the students. AI allows students to circumvent the academic honor system of the university, without really being liable for what they did. There are no academic punishments in place for using AI in writing essays at this point. So the students can get away with having AI write their papers, among a host of other academic requirements. This one software technology that the universities are powerless to stop. They would do well to simply embrace the technology at this point. Journalists have acknowledged this and have actually done extensive reporting on AI written essays and other academic areas that students have managed to find a role in within the learning process.

@MyFavouriteUser Thank you for clarifying your reasons for publishing this information. Now that I have a clearer idea as to what set you on this path of discovery and information sharing, I can say that you have good intentions. Thank you for mentioning the website as well. The fact the company named itself after Wikipedia, which we all know is an open source information website that is not academically accepted, means that the company trying to ride on the image of the online encyclopedia cannot be relied upon to come up with legitimate papers. If I am right and their sources all come from Wiki, then the students can write the paper themselves and save the money.

It is far more difficult now to find an academic writing job. I would not advise that anybody try to apply for a writer's job at the moment. It is not a human writer's market right now. Even the writing companies are shifting their business models to AI, which is far cheaper and more income generating for the business owners. If you have a code that actually churns out a usable, yet simplistic essay, they you can charge for the service, without having to split the earnings with the human writer on the other end.

Adding my own opinion to this thread. I believe that one can avoid the problem of self plagiarism by simply acknowledging that the very start that the paper you are writing is going to be an updated version of your previous high school paper or, a continuation of that research. It is a matter of acknowledging the original source of the idea, which was the high school paper of the student, which will be used as the basis of the new essay. This should allow him to reuse sections of the original essay without being accused of self plagiarism. Just frame it in a way that acknowledges your original writing and everything should be fine.

Just like the other bad academic writing company players our there, essayacademia is now no longer in service. Not as a writing company anyway. It fell into the hands of some Asian online gambling company that hopes the students who accidentally come across the site because of the misdirected url will stay to play a few rounds. Their intent is to make the students lose the money they earmarked for essay writing services. Anyway, the fact that the company is not longer present in its original service form means that is one less con company we have to worry about.

@Cite Those coded references seem to all point to the same thing "contact me privately and we can discuss how I can write for you." That does not seem to be a problem anymore at this forum these days. Now the active writers here are scrounging for writing jobs and clients whereas before they were fighting each other for the client and his loyalty. How times have changed. Anyway, it is still easy to find a decent essay service provider here. There seems to be only one remaining active writer in the roster who may be contacted in private by the students looking for a decent essay provider. I do not think it is a violation of forum rules to point the students towards the unnamed independent contractor is it?

I was an English major in college. It was a bit difficult for me to find employment after I graduated because I had a "jack of all trades" degree, which meant I had a useless degree since it led only to feeder masters courses, but not necessarily actual jobs. I was looking for any job that would have me at that point. Online job hunting was new at the time and the digital academic writing field was relatively new. I came across a writing website one day. decided to try my luck and submit my resume, I received a testing link via email, did the test, and got the job. That was my job for the next 20 years of my life, prior to my striking out on my own.

I guess the experience that was shared on this thread fell upon deaf ears. The company is still in existence and seems to be doing well enough to require a redesign of their website. They do not seem to be relying on an AI transition in their company so maybe, just maybe, they are actually delivering a better service these days. It may even be possible that they have enough base clients to keep their company afloat which is why they claim to have a pool of almost 500 writers. Regardless, if they are doing a better job now then I applaud them and I hope that they continue to do well in the business. We need more human writers for these academic papers.

Writing companies have all but shut down their hiring at the moment. They are trying to cut their losses by pivoting to the educational AI model. If that is at all possible for them. The problem is not the lack of talented writers, the problem is that the students are shying away from hiring human writers. They prefer to place their trust in an AI model which may or may not deliver as they expect. Some students are becoming well versed in the use if AI for their research papers so that they are able to clean up the paper themselves already and create a mostly usable and grade worthy paper for submission, as a fraction of the cost of hiring a human writer.

Each academic writer has his own line of specialization that makes him an expert on the topic. That is his comfort zone where he can easily help a client and offer his best work for a more than satisfactory grade. However, even expert writers in the STEM field tend to think twice about writing a paper for a student when it involves heavy reading and creating an acceptable conclusion. If there is too much in terms of reading material and writing, then the writers may tend to second guess their ability to complete the paper and refuse to develop it for the potential client.
