These students always think that they can pay less and receive a quality paper in the end

I do think that there are ways for high-paying writers to compete with the lower end of the spectrum. At the end of the day, ensuring that you have repeat customers is how you will make certain that you survive the industry. Quality should be assured at all costs regardless of how much you're charging. Like any other business, high-paying writers should ensure that they're able to compete across the borders to capitalize on their market potential.

I think that the primary struggle of a lot of writers is this low-writing season. While there are ways to garner income during this period, I do also agree that it affects the whole logistics of the job. The high-writing seasons therefore appear to be hunting grounds for earning a tremendous amount of money in order to have the sufficient count as a backburner in case something falls off the radar. It is critical for writers to be wise regardless to ensure that they survive in the industry.

You are paid sufficiently based on your country's inflation and dollar conversion rate

This is quite an interesting take on the unequal payment rates for native versus non-native writers. I personally have never had issues being paid less than my native counterparts, considering that there are limitations that I fully agree are part of the entire industry because of my different upbringing. Regardless of it being called as being paid in pennies, I have never had full issues when it comes to payment because the conversion translates well even in comparison to all genuine research jobs I held before entering the industry.

The only reasonable thing customers can do to limit their risk is test a new writer with a small project

This part is critical. It is also essential that students or customers do not fully trust writers immensely, especially when they're new to using these services. Do not just go out of your way to order immediately a 50-page paper from a website or a writer regardless of how credible it may seem. The best way to protect yourself and your grades is by ensuring that, in case the writer or company rips you off, you are consistently on top of your game in the instance that something falls off the line.

I'm particularly interested in how people would be able to fully realize the lapses in the industry currently. There's a lack of protection for both clients and writers alike all throughout. The prior comment appears to be rather idealistic with its goals more than anything else. The best we can do is to stop being to attracted to companies that only aim to scam at the end.

This is especially true. They're not particularly looking into attaining returning clients. Rather, these people are focused on gaining as much income as possible. Once it all falls down, they can just slowly branch into a different site and build from there again.

Writing Careers / Becoming a Freelance Essay Writer [28]

who couldn't write a halfway decent college essay of ordinary difficulty in one day.

This is true. Academic writing requires a truly different standard when it comes to the overall composition of text. There's a lot of patience and perseverance. If you're talking about quality texts, people should also ensure that they're able to fully fathom the texts. This means that people would focus primarily on depth and precision - both are difficult to attain in the long-run.

This is how we make our living.

People have to bear in mind this at all times. Serious full-time academic writers would evade disappointing their clients, especially because they rely heavily on returning clients at all times. It is critical to build trust along the way.

A quick turnaround isn't always cause for concern

This is precisely the truth. The best writers can create a fast essay without necessarily struggling. This is because they've handled multiple cases wherein they were exposed to needing to handle these situations before. This also showcases the level of professionalism and expertise that a writer has. I personally had never issues in turning in essays that have faster deadlines. Newbie writers should evade taking in these types of orders.

There are plenty of thieves who pose as "writers" to real clients and as "clients" to real writers

I am particularly interested in this. How many times has this occurred that people somehow scam these students? It seems as though that, in this industry, there's a particularly high volume of probability that people are being tricked into something that they shouldn't be into. Because of this, extra measures should be ensured when making or even planning to transact with anyone.

all communications in written form to prevent any possible miscommunications

This is a necessary input in this old discussion. It should be noted that you need to consistently have proof that particular transactions are to be arranged a certain way. When things are in written format, it would be beneficial for the writer to ensure that they're protected. This should be a consistent practice all throughout.

I notice this to be quite true as well. I've encountered a few ESL clients who struggle quite a lot when it comes to understanding fully the text provided to them. Honestly, I found it quite frustrating to have to deal with numerous clamor from these clients because they've consistently thought the work wasn't what was being asked for by the professor regardless of the outcome. While these things happen, writers constantly try to ensure that they have the upper-hand just to not run out of work.

These types of accidents give bad examples to the business itself. I heavily suggest that people should thoroughly investigate and assess the company before agreeing to work with them to ensure that they're clear of these issues. It's always a bargain - but forums like this would definitively help.

This is precisely true. When you're an academic writer, you learn so much information from people that you write for. This makes the entire process truly giving at the end of it all. Because of the job, I've been able to deal with medicine-related topics that I never thought I'd ever bump into before.

I find this to be the reason why I'm typically alright with having a systematized payment method. As long as I'm not fishing out and fully desperate for money, knowing that I can save up a little bit of built up cash on the entire process makes it run better for me in the long run.

Write the 50 page paper yourself.

I wish I could say this enough for people who constantly complain about academic writing services. While we consistently aim to provide clients with great output, there are certain limitations that would make the entire process not always 100% when it comes to running smoothly. I highly suggest that others be mindful of this all the time.

lost out to the independent writers who farm themselves out on linkedIn, UpWork

I do find this to be rather difficult still. While a lot of academic writers are breaking away from scammy sites, getting your portfolio out there in specific sites can be difficult as there are sites that specifically target academic writers due to how the field will never be formally recognized. While I don't think it would be avoidable in the near future, it's a food for thought to consider.

Essay Services / Best Private writers [27]

finding good services on FB is NOT a good way to go about it

While I typically agree with social media is not the best way to go, I also think as though you can build perhaps a personalized rapore with the students through this as the website paves way for that. However, sometimes I do wonder if some students find it to be rather shameful or shady to communicate through social media sites when there are "formal" page options. Just a food for thought.

I find that the best approach would be to use both customer service that's open line while, at the same time, maintaining direct access. I work for a site that does both; and I have no complaints whatsoever when it comes to the accessibility of the site. It works perfectly for me as a writer - and I have return clients who state the same.

permit the company to resell the work after a specified time period while others say that they never resell their work at all

For some reason, I find that the latter is more commonplace. I remember applying for a smaller company who also had to reiterate too me too many times that I am not to reuse papers I've written in the past. It seems as though the owner has had bad experiences with prior writers regarding this.

Most of my clients seem to be fairly good students who just don't have the time to write the essays

I've noticed this to be relatively true even till nowadays. It's not because students are fully incapable of composing themselves. Rather it is because they have personal hindrances that prevent them from performing at the moment.

Better to keep things at bay still.

My response is that it's not something they need to explain to me

Fair enough. I do think that for as long as the transactions run smoothly that it would not be necessary for me to fully think too much about the purpose. For as long as payments are made and the conduct of the business is done with ease, it would all work out well.

Heavily agree with this. For some reason, you cannot gain a lot of traction from social media when it comes to the industry. Better resort to building rapore with clients prior and then trying to work with traditional advertising methods.

Maybe they think I won't consider their projects without a "referral" or something (which is really silly).

This is particularly interesting to me. I've never personally had exposure to these types of clients. It could rather be that some students could have assumptions that stating these things would make writers take the job seriously. Sounds quite out of the place, but it could be a possibility.

I have never heard of a writer misusing this privilege, so I would not worry overmuch.

Precisely. I have yet to meet an academic who took advantage of this. There's not much that can be done also. It does not really stun me when the students forget to censor out things in their application or attached files. While it may appear sketchy, there's really not much I can do about these information.

I'm often astonished at how much they're willing to pay for the simplest of rush projects

This is also something that has surprised me when I initially began freelance academic writing. I didn't realize how many students were fundamentally incapable of fulfilling small tasks for whatever reason. Because of this, I struggle to fathom how they let such small tasks go in their daily calendar of things to do. Nonetheless, for as long as they pay the base, it's alright - and I know, at the end, that I'm just doing my own job.

That being said, I think that a substantive discussion would be about how these students often say that they need it as a reference essay. I do think that perhaps shame is a part of it - or, in other words, not knowing how precisely to explain that they're incapable (at the moment or for whatever reason) of accomplishing their own academic tasks. Then again, I've met a multitude of academic writers who also do not wish to admit that this the work they are doing for the same reason. I guess it can go both ways.

after the cheaper provider they paid provided something that was all plagiarized or totally unusable for other reasons

I didn't quite realize that this is a commonplace event that would occur. But I do understand how this would be possible. I have also encountered students who would often talk about how they wanted a "cheaper" price for a rush order because they cannot afford it. I wish there was something that could be done here; however, given that there can be no compromise between the quality and the price, there's just no giving in.

combined with the interruptions that drafts bring along, hinder a writer's progress

I wish I could personally relay this information more to clients. While there are positive intentions to wanting to desperately see a draft prior to it being submitted, it does not necessarily mean that they would help the writer accomplish the work. I'd rather give out a work and be ask to accomplish a revision than provide a draft and have to start all over. The latter, obviously, makes me lose momentum as a writer. And this, of course, does not also benefit anyone in the long-run.
