Lolz! Looks like you've learned a lesson from the fight above. You owe an acknowledgement to Queen Sheba whose aggressiveness finally helped cultivate in you the sense of self-reliance. Good luck with your essay.

Longman created just 3 months ago for a year only! Domain details locked. The other website has changed quite a few hands. However, it would be interesting to note the names/titles of the scholars available online. The ratings of most of the scholars are 100% all the time.

Honestly, but this is a bit too artificial. We're humans dude. Secondly, how do you know these are the best companies to work with now?

It's good that you're exposing him for misrepresenting his business details. Let's see how he responds to the points you've raised.

Response from company owner:

Please note this link has been active on your website for a very long time and it appears in the search result for the website, sampleassignment.com, I have made the best possible way to answer this post as can be checked in the thread and the person who posted this never replied to me response for a very long time now. The person who posted this did not deliver proper work and he did this as I informed that the work delivered was not proper. I have been an active member of your community and other related communities. Please also note that there has been no other negative reviews about the website other than this link and I have been providing service to students for close to 5 years now and this website is operational for last one and half years. I kindly request you to take down this post as the main line is hampering the reputation of this website for a very long time.

Regards,
Budhesh

poorly paraphrased?

I said this in response to your statement that you 'feel' the essay is plagiarized, i.e.,

I am so worried it will be plagiarised

So, I thought the company had it paraphrased and the copy doesn't flow well. And, yes, to paraphrase is to reword another writer's words.

I wanted to say you should turn your essay in to your professor; maybe it will pass.

And could you please share your link to you personal experiences with Grammarly?

I have a screenshot sent to me by one of my clients. I can share it here; however, I don't think it is so relevant, is it?

Plagiarism FindersTurnItIn is not useless. It is probably the most reliable text scanning internet-based crawler (due to its vast databases) available today.

However, what W2B points to above is how this crawler can be fooled, that is, how that specific company found the loophole in the software and sold plagiarized essays.

There is not even ONE example of a human-made invention that is flawless or perfect. There are always loopholes, shortcomings, etc. The only thing is a cheat will always find a way to work around.

That said, it is likely that your paper has been poorly PARAPHRASED by the essay company, and turnitin may detect the same combination of words used in the original essay. You should give it a go. I have shared my personal experience with Grammarly in another thread.

If there are worse stories/cases, then probably you're not well-informed. There are good websites as well, the same way as there are reliable freelance writers. This forum has a good amount of such information.

Why do you guys keep using them?

Probably, it is where my theory seems to be fitting a bit. :-)

There are quite a few online tools that can help you make a sort of guesstimate whether a website is legit or scam. However, to my knowledge, there is no one-stop solution to date.

However, two resources that can certainly guide you in all situations whatsoever are Use-Your-Brain.Com and Do-Some-Prior-Googling.Com.

The best and safest to use pick for plagiarism detection (or similarity index), globally, is TurnItIn. Many institutions also go for Viper, etc.

I have had some firsthand experience with Grammarly. Some of my clients study in an institution that has an institutional subscription to Grammarly.

First, it is interesting to note that Grammarly is NOT a plagiarism-detection crawler-type service. It is basically a state-of-the-art (as claimed by the organization) software that carries out a 360 analysis of any text you send them.

The 360 analysis includes everything from spelling, grammar, sentence structure, to style check. One would wonder how a software program can detect error in an idiosyncratic writing style.

In my case, the report never told me what areas of the essays were plagiarized; what it stated with a red exclamation mark was "plagiarism detected!" alert.

Since I knew my papers were 100% original, I convinced the clients to turn those in. To cut short, Grammarly is something that made me laugh at its ridiculously tall claims about quality; in real, it is rather a pompous website probably suitable for school kids.

I am talking about the text scan that Turn It In (or any other similar crawler) carries out.

Please be advised that, contrary to popular thinking, Turn It In, as is clearly stated on their website, does not detect plagiarism. The crawler produces a similarity index (matching the scanned text with the content already stored in its databases). It produces a report, called similarity index.

It is up to the professor/tutor to decide whether a student has plagiarized some essay or not.

Since your personal information is with them, it clearly puts you to the weaker end. All I can suggest is just lay low and beware of such scammers in the future. You might also expose them anonymously on different forums: Such is the case with the essay writing industry!

It cannot detect two essays written by either two or the same person: the only thing, the essays have to be original works.

Turn it in does not memorize someone's idiosyncratic writing style (if you mean to say that); it simply matches new content with the already stored/scanned content and produces a similarity index. That is it.

So, it would be great if you could send him/her an email stating what you plan on doing if s/he does not respond to you in a satisfactory way. It is also equally important for you to let the person know that your essay could not pass the plagiarism test. You'd either get a response from the person enabling you to decide/communicate further, or it would leave you with an open space to try exposing them.

First off, you will never learn how to respect other humans, so sad. It's about time that you showed to us some creativity from your genuine mind to use your own words. Stop borrowing from others. Oil your rusted mind.

Second, my conjecture over the fact that she is a competitor and NOT an observer comes from my observation of the way she has haunted this forum for so long. She wants attention: that's it.

In addition, I shared my opinion here; it is not necessary for someone to agree with me.

Last, you should be careful while taking sides with someone whose character, conduct, and attitude invite the reader to conclude that she has serious mental issues. Oh, sorry, I forgot. You're not far behind her when it comes to your hallucination that makes you repeatedly distort facts and continually puts you as a doubtful character whose job is to pick fights for non-issues.

QS and you are the only characters here that pick fights with everyone whosoever and that without any substantiation. Your contribution to the forum is equal to ZERO.

I think student members here can address this question better.

From my experience, the majority of the students who approach me for academic writing needs are the ones that are too busy in other academic activities. Many also look for help for something that doesn't seem to make sense to them at all. There can be a number of reasons behind this lack of understanding such as little help from the supervisor, working instead of doing homework, an illness, etc. I never ask.

A good number of my clients may not be sure if they can confidently get over with it.

With these types, there is a smaller percentage of those that simply want to get it done by some reliable writer for a good score. It is these people that are probably playing a video game while I write a model paper for them.

Input from other writers/students on this issue can be useful for a holistic view.

I am assuming that it was either out of a sense of polite modesty, or booze.

Your laughter above endorses my statement about you; I guess probably the readers would agree to it.

Second, since you've also disgraced PV above, so easily, there is no doubt that your non-serious attitude here is so very evident.

As for my work, I am a true freelance writer; I do not need to seek work with any company because I have plenty of work coming my way regularly, even in the low season -- I don't know about you though. I guess you're still employed with that essay-selling mill you so ardently make references here so regularly, right?

One thing I am sure everyone would agree here with is that FLW doesn't talk nonsense. He is focused and committed to his work. His clarity of thought adds to his narrative. He is a man upright.

Another thing that's obvious is that Editor75 hangs on here only to pick fights. He doesn't have any respect for a human being and his character. He only wants cheap attention, and for this purpose he can go to any length whatsoever.

So probably, your anguish has been caused by the inherent inadequacies in the system and your interaction with these asymmetries. But still I personally feel that it doesn't suit your learned person who teaches others the academic integrity and being calm while arguing. No offense.

Registrant information (domain privacy) can be protected by legally available services such 'privacyprotect.org'. Alongside, registrant information can be easily misrepresented by manipulating the whole concept of WhoIs. Websites in academic writing industry employs both of these strategies.

The right way would be to do, as has already been stated above, some additional research on a company, website, or a writer. This forum is full of such tips.

Very well, then. I apologise.

Sorry for my post after this rightly-timed apology. It came in while I was writing my post. :-p

Effing wow, man!

Honestly, the anger or maybe anguish you've expressed here doesn't suit a learned person like you.

That said, your prose sounds like I am reading a story. I enjoyed reading it.

Dear Antarch, I was wondering probably you're getting emotional at the mention of ESL writers being scams. I can feel that you're trying to defend the whole lot of ESL writers. This is probably not our job. We're responsible for what we do individually.

Let's also admit the fact that there most probably are such ESL/EFL writers that misrepresent themselves. I would also claim to state the not all ENL writers are angels. I have had ENL clients that were scammed by ENL writers. The only thing is that their way of scamming is different. I do not want to get to that side for now.

As for Lovecraft, I do not personally think that s/he is trying to shoot directly in the face of ESL writers. Lovecraft has simply shared his/her opinion which is fine. The person has also clearly stated his/her position.

There is no point in getting heated. I am very sorry for sounding sort of judgmental here. This is not what I do here. My focus is to add meaningfully to a discussion.

It would be great if we can collectively move on avoiding any unnecessary conflict.

Jul 08, 2014

Dear Sir, you have summed up the discussion really well. There are quite a few points that can be argued. However, my current workload does not allow me to do so. Some other time maybe.

Your absolution about most of the ESL writers may be true. However, I was just thinking if you had added a little phrase like, most of the ESL/EFL AND some ENL can be scammers, it would have presented a more balanced picture.

----

That apart. I honestly feel that your post above is most probably aimed at self-promotion where we learn about your incredibly learned self. I feel impressed. I am sure other readers do too :).

I have noted your points.

Just to extend the discussion, there are certain grey areas in the academic writing industry (from e-commerce to complaining about a scam). Writers from US and any other country can scam someone if they want. I do not want to go into the details of it. This forum is FULL of such information.

Now, your point for the rising number of scam ESL writers making it difficult for legit ESL writers to find work. The way you have positioned yourself as a US-based writer, a legit ESL writer can also do so. Positioning as a legit ESL writer (in sharp contrast to scam ESL/ENL writers) is the key for me. However, it is a matter of personal branding strategy; the better the strategy, the more work you would find.

Most probably, the same rule applies to the ENL writers. Would you agree with me that not ALL US/UK/Can.-based writers can get the same business as each other? Clearly, such factors as their skills as academic writers, their integrity as a person, their commitment to a client's work, etc. play a decisive role.

PS: I would refrain myself from saying anything against Pheelyks, who, I strongly believe, is NOT a scam. His controversial case, reported above without necessary details above by a person with rusted intellect, is available on this forum for anyone to go through and decide.
