@gflowers you have the option to keep the compromised information if you want to. They do not know that you are not reading their emails. Just change your compromised data wherever possible for your safety should they try to hack into your system. Actually, they will stop using your data and emailing you once the data bounces when they try to use it. It becomes worthless to them. As an active account, the value is priceless.

A fake ID or profile can be created using just your name, which can lead to problems for you later on. I am not saying that will happen but there are times when it does. That is why I was suggesting the complete cancelation of the related accounts. That way you have a record of getting your account hacked or attempted hacking if the need to explain arises.

Having made changes to the paper will definitely help your defense. You chose a great lawyer in this case. I hope you get positive results in the end. I strongly urge the change in phone numbers as some banking and credit card sectors use the phone number as an identity verifier. The dark web users may even create a cloned sim to redirect numbers and otp to their phone. They have your number and can kill the sim remotely. Google it. It has been done before. I know it is a hassle to do that but your online identity safety should always come first. Since they cannot blackmail you anymore, they will sell your data forever instead. Keeping the number and email keeps it active for their use.

They made a huge mistake by doing this because my university is now aware and is dealing with me

No mistake there. The whole plan of the blackmailer was to get you into trouble with your school. Now, you should be fine with the academic case eventually being dismissed/ dropped provided you did not use their paper to get a class credit. This is the main reason why students should always rewrite a bought paper. Using only parts of it as a properly credited reference would have been even better. If is important to erase the paid effort/trail in the final and submitted paper. Can you explain why you think they made a mistake?

I too, have sent them to my spam box and do not open their emails.

Good move. You focus now should be on the academic dishonesty case. Paying them off will not solve anything.

Could this be unrelated to the scammers or is it definitely them trying to hack into my email?

It could be directly related since the attacks happened after the blackmail attempt. These companies are known for selling illegally obtained information over the dark web. I would not put this past them.

Should I just delete that entire email address and all data associated with it? Or am I okay after these password changes?

Since your private information is already out there, the tendency for identity theft in this case is tremendously high. You would be safer changing all related information including the email address. Use suspected fraud as your reason for email cancellation and mobile number change. You need to be on the record with what happened in case authorities contact you with problems arising from data theft.

For more information about how to protect yourself and other students from academic blackmail in the future, you may read my advice at this link: https://essayscam.org/forum/gt/ways-avoid-academic-blackmail-6767/

I find that the forum no longer uses such crude language in its current incarnation. Probably because there are fewer users these days compared to before. That does not erase the habit of some people to try and illicit a reaction out of users here to serve their own means or feed their ego. In which case, I have learned to mute those types of posts and responses. The best reaction is no reaction. Like they say; "Do not feed the animals" . Hahaha !

I wonder what happened to the writers of this defunct company. Did they change occupations after the company closed shop? Were they employed at other writing companies? Or, did they go into business for themselves? It would be nice to know what became of them specially in the post pandemic world of academic writing. I hope they survived the calamity.

As for available work listing, most companies these days are complaining about not having enough work orders to go around their writers pool. It appears students have become more cautious these days and no longer hire just because they can afford to do so. They consider other factors these days before signing up for a company or independent service.

The last time this company showed a pulse was in 2011 when they launched a now almost dead FB page. Aside from their announcement relating to that page launch and their listing for an address and phone number, the FB page does not help. There is no search engine presence either.

Using Maps, I was able to triangulate their address to being a vacant lot across the street from an Italian restaurant and adjoining car wash. Or is the location in the Italian restaurant? Whatever.

The point is the company has always been a fake and is more than likely no longer in business. That is the reason why the OP never heard back from them. They were never a legitimate business from the start

There is a misunderstanding that only academic writing companies host essay mills. In truth, an essay mill is a service that aids in the actions related to academic fraud as completed by academic assistance companies and freelancers. These activities are not limited to essay writing alone but, essay writing will be my primary focus since that is what this forum is all about.

Freelancer AcademiaFreelance academic writers, just like the companies, are provided by the students with all necessary writing instructions for the completion of the paper. They pay a hefty seem for this original research paper. This is the primary basis of academic froud based on the academic oath that students swear to uphold asa member of the school. Simply put, it is a violation of the academic code to pay someone to write your paper and submit it for a grace. Proven violators face a failing class grade, suspension, or expulsion as punishments depending on the severity of the violation.

These non - company affiliated writers complete hundreds of papers, some would even say thousands of papers every year. Papers that they claim to transfer rights to the student so they can use the paper in any way they want, including submitting it for a grade. Note that neither the company or writer ever tells the student that the intellectual transfer falls under a perpetual basis. There is an unspoken expiration to that which is only known to the company or writer. There lies the danger of this type of deal.

The original digital paper remains in the possession of the writer. A writer who must advance his business by any act necessary since his income is seasonal based on the academic calendar. The dry seasons mean a meager income for the writer. The solution? Make money out of the collected, intellectually transferred papers. He can and he will since it was not a perpetual transfer of rights. That private collection of expired papers are then repeatedly resold to new students. Most of whom do not understand that there papers should not be submitted for a grade. Don't just take his word for it when he says it is a permanent transfer. There is no such thing in this business.

Sometimes, the writer, at a loss for time to complete a quick turn-around could even resort to using cut and paste information from his secret stash during the regular academic year. Yes, it is a common practice among independent writers since there is no QAD to check his paper quality. A writer who does QAD himself on his own work isa dishonest writer. He can only hope that the minimal corrections he makes would be enough to pass plagiarism checkers. Does a student really want to take that chance?

Essay Mill papers should not be used as anything more than a writing starting point for the student. Do not overpay for any paper from either source since you can never be sure of the content and uhkown deal factors. Most importantly, never submit an original or model paper for a grade. It would be safer for you to just ask for a listing of related citation sources, which is half the job done, then forming the paper yourself. That is a true original paper you cannot be blackmailed for by the company or writer.

The OP could have become a writer in a different field. There are other writing fields aside from academic writing. He could have worked for a PR firm, an ad agency, a blogsite, he could have become a Vlogger, the options for a writing career are endless. Other writing careers, for the truly talented writers, are numerous. The pay? More than 320 GBP per day. Academic writing limits the income of a writer, regardless of the talent he thinks he has. A regular paycheck will still pay better. The same applies to big time non-academic writing projects. Those contract gigs can really pay the bills, turn into good investments, and prepare one for retirement. Let's not have tunnel vision about freelance writing careers now. Academic writing isn't the only one around.

Essay Services / Assignment help service [6]

Help with assignmentsI like the way your terms of service and revision policies are spelled out.

What I do not like is that you hide the fine print about the students not being allowed to submit the paper for a grade even as you turn over the full intellectual copyright to the student upon complete payment.

That provision in your conditions negates the assurance that you give the students that will get their target grades.

It would be better if you make that caveat more prominent on the page.

You should also make the students aware that they should not be submitting these essays for a grade based on the international laws covering anti essay mill usage.

Australia, the UK, and the USA have specific provisions against that type of academic help. That way if the student submits the essay for a grade and asks for a revision based on a low or promised grade, you have an out should he require a refund.

You seem like an on the level company except, I am not sure if you are aware of the international laws that you are breaking by promising a grade level for the papers your writers will be producing.

We seem to be experiencing an influx of offline websites. Companies that are no longer in service but still listed as active at this forum. For some reason, the sites direct you to a Chinese server when clicked at this time. This refers to essaycoursework and not UKessays. I am still barred from accessing that site from my current location. I wonder if I will ever be able to access that site in particular.
noted
Jan 19, 2023

Just as an FYI, both sites seem to have been hosted out of China. Both have been taken offline and replaced with Chinese advertising. The former, has been replaced with what appears to be a Chinese porn ad while the latter, was replaced with a business ad. No need to wonder about the quality of work for both. The fact that these companies no longer exist are a testament to their lack of quality workmanship.

Essay Services / helpessays.com information [7]

The account of this company is currently listed as suspended. As far as I know, a company only gets suspended from server access due to non- payment of accounts. Therefore this company was forcibly taken offline. It is quite possible that the company was closing anyway and decided to just up its deposit rather than pay a closure fee. This is good news for the students. The host company did them a favor in this case.

Posting the full essay in the free essay section of this website does nothing to harm the student. Did you forget that he is not supposed to submit the essay that you wrote for a grade? If the student has a good understanding of how the pay for paper game goes, he will have used your essay as the basis for a totally rewritten essay. He will pass plagiarism checks and he will be able to confidently tell his professor that he wrote the original paper, paying you to do the information research for him. Shaming failed ! Plagiarism complaint dismissed ! You should have gotten the payment before giving him the completed paper. Lesson learned on the OP's part I hope.

Writing Careers / Has anyone used 4writers.net [28]

This company has been known to openly promote the use of their essaybank among their writers. That is done each time they have a new writer hire who is still learning how to write a proper essay (which never happens), but needs to be paid as he fills the seat for a writer during peak seasons. While they make sure to have these writers focus on ESL clients who cannot tell the difference between an original paper and a cut and paste hatchet job, it still does not erase the fact that they do not value quality in their writer's final product. Last I heard they are accepting high school dropouts from third world countries as academic writers. The company is hopeless, they will never consider the importance of delivering a high quslity paper to the client based on the money they are paid. They are better known for their hit and run jobs than anything else.

@Kris2910 so you work in the PR department for this company and the other company you posted for? Or is Studywoot a new affiliate of writers.ph.DND? That would be the assumption since you took pains to cut and paste reviews of this company from other review sites. You are paid to promote these companies and you cannot even do that properly. You do not deserve your payday for this type of work. You should not even be in the PR and promotions line of work. You do not have what it takes to do even a half hearted job. You cannot even make up your mind between being a freelancer or a company representative. Please make up your mind for clarity sake.

This is a perfect example of the kind of sloppy and shoddy work you will receive should you make the mistake of hiring their service. The company website is unreliable As not all of the important information pages are active. The About page is useless. Do not hire them. No information can be found about the company. The testimonies area fake. The domain name/url only went online a few hours ago. Hire them at your own risk. Don't say you were not warned.

Educated WriterI am slowly realizing that Europe, the UK, Asia, and other parts of the would educate the writers differently. Though there may be some educational similarities, there is still a greater difference in the curricula, teaching style, learning curve assessment, and relevant learning coverage for the student. These are but some of the reasons why most writers come up short in terms of content relevance and quality.

They are writing for an educational system they think they are, but in reality, are not familiar with. So they revert to essay banks and cut and paste information to hopefully meet the content and relevance requirements. They have no idea how the grading works in these countries nor of the importance of the written homework, research project, or opinion paper to your grade. They do not care about how their negligent work affects the grade and credibility of the student.

Be sure to hire writers who were educated in the same manner that you are receiving yours in order to actually learn from what was witten for you. Do not submit their work just to complete the course requirement. The relevant educational system is meant to just help the writer meet your instruction requirements. It has nothing to do with the content quality. The writer does not care if you pass or not. He just wants to get paid for half the job done, if at all. So do not trust that original paper for a passing grade.

Essay Services / Professays or HonestEssays? [42]

I will give credit to the company for letting the students know the graduated educational level of their various writers. That is good to know when considering the relevant background of the writer you wish to or are considering to hire. I would however, caution the student about hiring the writer without knowing which country he was educated in. This is a rule of thumb that applies to writers regardless of where in the world they studied. If the writer is not familiar with your educational system, then he cannot fulfill your paper needs. That is a sure bet, no matter what company or wwhich writer you deal with.

I have chosen to call attention to the way that aaaessays.com conducts their business. It is in a manner that is above board and helps to lessen the scammer reputation of the company. Have a look at their disclaimer at the bottom of the anchor page.

They tell the students exactly how to use the original paper they paid for. They make it clear that the paper maybe used as a reference for the student written paper. The one thing they should not attempt to do is submit the paper in exchange for a grade. They clearly do not encourage cheating through the actual submission of the paper in the class. Do not say they did not warn you. Do not blame them if you get caught breaking academic and other related laws.

Bravo! Finally a company that acknowledges academic honesty requirements and, through the waiver, accepts the legal hindrances faced by paid essay for a grade companies. This move alone shows that they are actually out to help instead of stealing from their clients. They actually care about how the paper is used, but need not spell out why since it should be obvious to the student.

Hmmm... It appears the unnamed writer uses / constantly rehashes the same accusations regardless of who he deals with at this forum. He has constantly accused me of similar things as well. It is the only move in his playbook it seems. For a writer, you would think he could come up with various accusations that would sound believable. This shows the degree of his actual writing talent then. He doesn't really have any real evidence or proof of what he says negatively about others. So he keeps repeating the same information hoping something will stick. Not enough intellect to realize his ways do not work in the new era where AI may soon take over his job, which he cannot do well either.

If you are an academic writer of any sort who does not care about how students use the paper, you are definitely a fraud. If you claim to be an academic writer who has a degree in law, but does not care that you are breaking the law in at least 17 states in the U.S., as well as anti-essay mill laws in several countries then, you are definitely a fraudster who should eventually be brought up on relevant charges, at least in the U.S. The fact that a law school graduate would do this sickens me no end.

No ifs or but's about it. The laws of several countries, including several specific/ individual states of America, are very clear about this. Yes, I have been doing my due diligence regarding this topic. I know what I am talking about.

The creation of new writing companies are threatened by the rise of AI writing software which is often free to use for students. Now is not the time to think about adding a new player to the market. Sit back and observe the market reaction first. Students are eager to try out the technological advancement and seem happy to put in the little work required to edit and revise the computer written paper. Saves them a ton of money in the process. By observing the goings-on, the academic writers should figure out a way to adjust their services to the times.

For anybody looking to start a company though, make sure your services are not breaking any state, national, or international laws so you can register and function as a legitimate business entity. In the UK, do take note of how the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022 affects the way your academic based business should function as an academic help office.

some writers here like Freelancewriter try in vain to post meaningless spam(in disguise)in an attempt to impress studentts.

He hasn't stopped his spamming practices related to trying to direct thread conversations solely to focus on him and his self-over inflated ego. He heaps self praise on himself while referring to nameless new and regular clients as having said it . No way to confirm what he says and claims.

He claims to prevent the same people from posting the extremely positive work experiences with him at this forum. There was one client last year who did that. He had the mods delete the entire post for some reason. It could not have been just about the price posted and how it differs pll client as he claimed. He could have had just that part removed. My guess? He probably paid for the review then changed his mind and decided not to pay for it. Maybe he wasn't satisfied with the content. Yes, there are some paid reviews at this forum so do not believe anything written about writers here, be it positive or negative. Do your own investigating before hiring. We can only offer words of caution. The rest is up to you. comments and reviews could very well be spam.

Freelancewriter for one does not have any updated reviews here, just ancient ones. His most recent work reviews are comments he writes about himself from his nameless satisfied clients. That is worse than board spamming if you ask me. I could never really figue out why.

Of course he will make a long written rant in response to my post. Just remember, it in self-promoting spam on his part. He absolutely hates being criticized and/or questioned. Specially about his skills and clients. Clients ? There are no real clients to speak of. There just isn't any evidence of that. Even email ( screenshots specially) can be manufactured to suit his means.

Well, here is another post from ages ago that supports the information @a1writer has more recently been advocating for. Only by hiring specialized writers who matriculated from the relevant educational system standa chance of pulling the wool over any professors eyes. Multi-focused writers will eventually be caught and pose a serious problem for his student client. It seems this situation, of writer's writing in formats and about topics they know nothing about, so they just to glide by to get paid, has been a long time problem in the academic writing field.

These are criteria that do not indicate the legitimacy of a company. These only indicate a work setup in most cases. Having a proper work relationship is not the same as working for an above board business entity. This thread would lead people to believe that not knowing you are working for a drug dealer as drug mule is excusable because you did not know the ashes of Aunt Carmen in the lead lined box you delivered to Florida was actually cocaine.

When the company does not list an office location but has a phone number listed in a country, that could be VPN. They are not located where they claim to be. Legitimacy can further be questioned when contact is via social media only.

When they offer academic writing services in a country that has laws against it, the company is not legitimate. Along the same thread, a company that cannot indicate the origin of their writers, their individual writer specializations and hiring process, then the writer, company, and its services are definitely suspicious.

I only learned of these truths recently and have been trying to help spread the word. I believe that information that protects the student can also protect the writer from false virtual employment problems.

Who are the people who write those essays?

If you hire a writing company, you will most likely geta 3rd world educated college graduate writer who writes at a 1st would high school level. If you hire a direct writer, you need to be sure that he actually graduated from the course you are hiring him for. Otherwise you get only half a usable paper (if you are lucky) Both types will be a nightmare to deal with when revision time comes.

Are they qualified?

Most academic writers are multi-field focused. They claim to be skilled at writing for all topics, specially those that do not concern their undergraduate course. So no, most academic writers, unless they focus on writing based on their undergraduate course and optional related work experience are not qualified to write for the subjects you hive them for. none of them will openly admit that though and will insist they can write about any topic you throw at them.

Are they teachers?

While there are some teachers that dabble in the business, majority of them are not. Teachers do not recommend hiving writing services remember? They mostly frown upon it.

@a1writer it is people like him who encourage cheating within the non- classroom setting that have contributed to the demise of the U.S. educational system. Their students have become too lazy to actually put in the extra hours and effort to learn outside the classroom via research and essays. Their students fail to learn because they do not know how to learn. Too many paid educational services and assistants / writers around. I do not care how busy you are, you either have the time to properly study, even after work hours, or you do not study at all.

Paying someone to complete the work and you getting a grade for it does not improve your skills nor knowledge. You will eventually be found out at work to the detriment of your job. Why? You got the grade without ever reading the paper. You never learned the lesson the assigned work was teaching.

The paid writer should at least encourage the student to read the paper and write his own version if possible so that he will learn something in the process. Then the money paid to the writer would have been worth it.

Whether the student does it or not is none of our business but, as an informal part of the educational system, shouldn't we at least try to encourage learning on our part? Shouldn't we be part of the solution rather than a part of the problem?

A student who only cares about meeting course requirements through the use of paid services, regardless of global location cannot be a good employee nor good business person. That is why a paid writer should care. We are helping build the student's future and the future of our country / world. Encouraging cheating does not help do that. I hope the UK never falls into the same educational trap that the U.S. students have fallen into.

This is precisely why a writer, regardless of type, must care about how the paper he wrote is used. Students look to the writers to know about the intricacies and legalities of the job. We are the ones in the correct position to advise them about how to use the paper, what laws of their country apply to the work they are contracting, and most of all why the original paper they paid for cannot be submitted for an actual grade. Without knowing these things beforehand, the student leaves himself open to blackmail, scam companies, and unreliable writers. An informed student is a wise student.

A clear red flag with this company is that it does not register a physical office location in the UK. Having a UK based number does not qualify it as properly location based. That says a lot more about the background of a company than anything else negative that were posted in this thread by the previous and former members. The fact that they are clearly not knowledagble about the UK anti-essay will low and how it affects the business is another consideration? Are they in a location that is not covered by it? A company that does not address how they do not violate the law are already in violation of the law in my opinion. They cannot professionally make this claim, about being UK based without giving notice about that information.

I will be continuing this thread with notes as suggestions occur to me to keep this thread on a helpful track. Let's try to stay on topic with applicable information, rather than blatant self-promotion that is not aligned with the topic.

Regardless of whom you hire and how the writer was hired, approach all writers with distrust and a conciousness that any writer or company may change their minds and decide to blackmail you after the deal is completed or long after you have completed the course, but is assumed to still be in school (regardless of study level).

Be specially weary of the intention of writers who contact you directly. Avoid hiring writers found through writer initiated contact and/or solicitations. They are the most worrisome kind and often end up blackmailing the student.

Your protection is in your hands. Distrust is the best way to get that shield up. It makes you ask the right questions. It helps you to see red flags about the writer and the deal being cooked up before it turns into a problem.

The company does not engage in essay writing. Their focus is on providing the tools that will help and allow the students become better academic writers. That is not the focus of scam companies. They do not require the students to submit any information that can be used against them in the future. They only provide writing assistance tools that most students find beneficial when writing a paper.

What is the goal of the company if they do not write papers then? The company concentrates on writing improvementand consultation services. They actually have a working office in LA Where only American academic experts hold office. They are available for physical consultations if the student needs that kind of extra help. These are not activities scam companies engage in. They are legit as far as I am concerned.

There are some who order a paper listing relevant sources that can be used in the paper he will actually be writing. Other, also find it easier to write a paper once they have a copy to use as a writing and information standard. There are more unique reasons for using essay writing companies than we think. It isn't always abouta personal situation, lack of time, or disinterest. Those are just the reasons we have come to most commonly hear about. He has only one writing style in him, making it difficult for him to adjust to his clients needs. Not that he is trying to scam the students. He just isn't a good academic writer. Even the free papers he comes up with would not pass as a high school paper.

@a1writer
It is also a worrisome thing to know since that is how students often end up being blackmailed. The main threat is always, we can prove you did not write the essay because you submitted what our writer or what I wrote for you. So if the writer does not care how the work is used, what is to stop him from blackmailing the same student in the future? This is why it is important the paper they paid for is revised completely by the student in terms of presentation. The student must revise it enough to remove traces of the paid work whenever you can for their own peace of mind.

There have been at least 2 students who are still being blackmailed by an unscrupulous academic writing company. They are being forced to pay for some fake academic certification or risk being reported to (non-existent) academic authorities.

Avoid BlackmailThis is a situation that can be easily avoided if proper measures are taken to protect the student's privacy and information before placing the order. Here are some steps students can follow to prevent this from happening to them. The rules apply to both writing companies and freelancers.

1. Use a throw-away email address. Never use your school email account for any reason. The email address should be a different one each time you work with a company. Make sure you can delete it after the deal so any emails sent after will bounce.

2. Use a burner phone to reach out to them. Pay as you go phones will allow you to use a new number with each company. Trash it as soon as the deal is completed.Do not wait for the harassment starts.

3. Never order a cover page or header that contain any identifying information. You can do these yourself.

4. Revise the paper yourself if you have problems with the paper provided. That is as long as the paper is actually usable.
