I need to again point out that a PhD holder is not going to waste his time working for dollars and cents at an essay writing company. They would be too busy running the research centers of reputable universities. Nope. I do not buy their academic endorsements either since we all know the relationship of schools with freelance academic writters. It is also laughable that this company gave themselves awards just to appear reputable. Everything that makes them reputable to the untrained eye makes them appear as possible scammers in the eyes of those who know how to spot a scam. In this case, if you believe their lies, then you are asking for trouble.

Well, it appears that the life expectancy of threads at this forum is not something that should be discussed. I believe that it is up to the Admin or mods to lock up a thread, close it, or delete it, as the case may be. They are the ones with the power to decide upon the relevance of a thread and how long it should stay in the directory. It is incorrect to assume that the people posting on those threads are doing so just to keep their numbers up and remain visible in this forum. Those are the posts where participation is still counted and would still be seen as relevant by some students. As for reporting about sites that are no longer active, I am sure there are those who appreciate the heads up, since these students do not normally check on the existence of these forums and whether they are legit or not.

One of the craziest research orders I received was to attend classes for a student whose work hours overlapped with his classroom hours. This was before the dawn of internet based research and classes. He had to physically be present in the school library for the days when research was required as part of the class. The teacher would be sitting in the library with the students to make sure that they learned how to research properly. We could not figure out how to get his sign in sheet signed when his teacher would have been in the library, taking attendance. Needless to say I did not take the order and that student, had to take summer school because he totally missed out on classes and exams that year.

Essay Services / kenyawriting.com good or bad? [23]

Another Kenyan website that killed itself. The domain name is no longer active and does not have any trace of ever having been in existence on the web. The Kenyan writers really could not stay active for long in the academic writing business because of their negative reputation. This prevented them for actually growing their writing skills and business intentions. While there may have been some fair players coming from Kenya, the distrust rating was simply too high for these companies to overcome.

The website is no longer active. Even the domain name is no longer in play. No url that traces itself back to Kenya would have any sort of resale value. Their reputation as incompetent academic writers and researchers, as well as being financial scam artists precedes them. Therefore, trying to pass themselves off as legitimate writers like the OP tried to do, would prove to be useless and pointless.

Essay Services / ozessay.com.au Big mistake! [22]

I sincerely doubt that the universities mentioned on the homepage of this site know that they are being used as a reference for the company services. There is no higher learning institute on the planet that would openly endorse an academic writing or research site. They would be directly violating their own academic honor oath. Do not trust any academic writing site that misrepresent itself. You will pay the price in the end.

This company is now attached to a questionable Malaysian website that reeks of pornography and / or gambling. I believe that the domain name was sold in the hopes that some unsuspecting student would come across the page and stay for a bit. Spending his hard earned money or meager allowance on a game of chance instead of actually hiring a good writing service. Don't bother trying to access the site if you are looking for a human writer to complete your paper. You would be better off sending a PM to one of the actual writers listed at this forum.

Well this is one company that chose to shut its doors upon the enactment of UK anti essay writing services laws. They still hold the domain active and actively indicate that they are trying to find a way to continue their services but considering how long the law has been in effect, I would have to say that the company is just riding out its domain name registration at this point. There is nothing on the site to indicate that they will be returning to service anytime in the future.

I think that the company has changed hands and work focus since this thread was started. They seem to be running a legit business these days that work directly with SMEs to help create their writing needs. It is no longer a company focused on academic writing. They are more inclined to do professional research work these days and seem to have some verifiable companies associated with their business.

Essay Services / DO NOT USE ADVANCEDWRITERS.COM [27]

The company actually contradicts itself when selling its writer services. First is claims that they will pick the writer most suitable to your order for you. Okay. That is understandable and acceptable. So why is it that in the next window, the say the paper will be submitted and revisions may be requested as necessary? If the system chose the best available writer for the order, then revisions should be unnecessary right? This makes their claim about the quality of the work that they provide questionable. I would rethink hiring their services upon reading those contradicting claims.

Something that was not clear in the original posting related to the professor that sent the email. It seems like that was just some generic professor and not the professor of the student? How did the Kenyan writer get the name and email address of the professor in the first place? Gaining access to the university system does not mean he also gains access to professor information. Unless there was a need for the professor to divulge this for the electronic work the students would be submitting?

Do not believe that CFA's would be working for this company. Any accredited, licensed, and recognized CFA would be working at the research center of a university or company. They do not get paid small change for the kind of work that they are required to do. Their case studies and research skills cost more than what this company is willing to pay them. Do not be deceived. You would have better luck asking AI to return some case studies for you to verify. At least those will be based on published content from verifiable resources compared to what you would be getting from this company.

It is difficult for me to believe that the company will provide AI free content to the student. I will probably believe that claim only if they provide an AI detection screening result. The prices that are charged for the original paper are too cheap. Those rates will only pay rates for 3rd World writers. We all know that 3rd world writers are susceptible to using AI to improve the papers that they write. So don't believe the claims made on the site regarding non Ai and plagiarism free essays. Steer clear of any website that claims students from the top universities in the world use their services. No proper writing service would make those claims as they know it will endanger the academic integrity of their past, present, and future clients.

It appears that she eventually left the forum without saying goodbye. It does not seem like she violated any rule because her account is not suspended. It remains unused instead. Maybe she got tired of constantly bickering with the writers here. Maybe she found a better and more stable job that could use her acerbic skills. Or maybe, she was asked to quietly leave the forum. Who really knows? What is important is that she left with the forum intact years later. It is still performing its task of informing students about bad human writers and academic writing companies that still exist these days. Yes, that is even with AI making its way into the academic writing field.

Australianwritings.com seems to having domain name problems that force a redirection to a mirror site. II cannot really see what their problem is but this has been going on for quite some time now. At least that is what sources have been telling me. When there is a domain name problem in relation to a website, I tend to steer clear of it. You never know what sort of bad cookies might be uploaded to your system once you click on the redirect link.

I am not sure when the good season will begin again for the academic writers. I am glad that you have an optimistic outlook in relation to Ai and human writing, I just hope you won't be disappointed if it does not come true for you. It is difficult to say that the passive incomes you mentioned will also work since those are jobs that can also be taken over by AI. Being a writer or researcher these days proves to be difficult. The people and businesses that normally hire us ask themselves why they need to do that if AI can do the job? Most of the writers in the industry did not see AI coming and so, prepared very little for their retirement, which seems to have come sooner rather than later. It is important to keep the faith though. AI will eventually revert selected writing and research jobs to humans.

With AI taking over most of the academic writing tasks that used to be available to writers, and also, due to the commercial lean towards AI generated content for scripts and copywriting, how many of us AI writers have started to veer away from academic writing totally? I have heard about some writers who have decided that if they cannot beat AI, they might as well join the bandwagon. So they are now trying to get into the cut throat and competitive world of AI training.

Their job, which I think is next to impossible, is to help AI sound human when it delivers information. They don't have to write code, they have to keep writing on given topics and feeding it to AI and refining the tone of AI until it sounds almost human. Let's see a show of hands, how many of us believe that AI will never gain human logic and therefore, will never sound human when it churns out information for students and researchers?

It is always best to avoid problems that could arise from potential, future blackmail by not using the original research as provided. You can always paraphrase the content and reformat the presentation for this purpose. That allows you to claim ownership of the now original paper for submission to your professor. Do not ask AI to revise the research for you. That could very well end up as double plagiarism on your part. Do it on your own so you can safely submit the paper under your name.

Essay Services / ibessays.org Legit? [7]

6 years later and the domain name is not attached to any company anymore. That is a good thing since, based on the postings here, it appears that the company was incapable of providing the expected human essay writing services that students required. Considering that the name of the company incorporated IB in its name, it should have had some sort of quality assurance attached to its name, but that apparently wasn't the case.

Essay writing companies can turn out to be disappointing these days because of the gloss that their websites provide. Since everything is presented as HD images and AI developed blurbs, the students feel conned once they receive the actual work from the company. There are 2 reasons that they get disappointed in my opinion. First, they are convinced that they have a writer who can actually do the job, but then realize once the paper is given to them that the writer probably did not finish high school. Second, they paid for human writing and ended up with AI garbage. They hired a company that uses Ai to write papers for the student, leaving the student feeling cheated and disappointed in the company that was hired.

General Talk / Why students get scammed. [60]

Students these days tend to get scammed because they are too comfortable with using technology for everything from ordering their food to getting their laundry done. When one becomes too comfortable with technology and often use it for convenience, the tendency is to be too trusting of services that are paid for. That includes paying to have your essays written. Very few verification questions are asked because using the service is a no brainier for them. That is how they end up being scammed.

General Talk / The Demise of Writing Skills [3]

I have a hard time convincing students to improve their writing skills because they are a generation raised on technology. They believe that if the tech is there, it should be used. So I kinda worry that it won't just be writing skills that will be affected by the emergence of AI. It will affect education as a whole. How these kids learn and who teaches them will evolve over time too. The way that they respond better to AI teaching actors rather than than human teachers makes me worry that teachers might eventually find themselves without a job in the future and that schools could become obsolete as everything can be found and learned on the internet.
noted
Mar 24, 2026

I have heard of some parents, who cannot really afford to send their kids to college, convincing them to take technical courses instead. Skills training that would allow them to become financially independent in a matter of months rather than years. You know the type. The plumbers, mechanics, welders, the blue collar jobs. Those are feasible alternatives for kids who are not interested in college or are financially strapped. They learn how to incorporate tech into their actual work, making their skills far more important than it was before. College is still important for the upper class and upper middle class. For those who are more focused on survival, they look at technical schools instead.

Let's consider for a moment that the reason the writer was cross with the client is because the student was wasting his writing time with useless follow ups that the writer had to respond to rather than spend that time working on the paper. It is only fair for the writer to have his patience tried at that point. A client cannot expect high quality work from a distracted writer. I do not believe that a writer will be cross with a client. He may give pointed responses but he will never cross the line into rudeness. It will be bad for his business.

Essay Services / HOW to find a legitimate writer? [21]

Remember that it is easy for a writer to misrepresent his writing skills these days. What the student has to prove these days is not the legitimacy of the writer but the skill of the writer when it comes to essay or research writing. There are have been instances when writers use AI to create the work for their clients, specially when a short turn around time is provided to the writer. Therefore, testing the writer skills and making sure that he does not use AI is one of the major points you have to consider when it comes to the legitimacy of the writer.

There is an international move, a cooperation if you will, between colleges and universities, to align their academic teaching and student writing styles under an acceptable common format. With the international alignment of the teaching and writing standards, we can expect that the human academic writer skills, regardless of the country that they originate from, will meet international teaching and writing standards going forward. This was done in order to combat the emergence of AI in the academic world and temper the use of AI in writing by students.

A 5 page research paper is better written by an independent writer instead of a writing company. Yes, the order can sit idle on the company server for at least 24 hours before somebody actually accepts the order. By directly contacting a writer, the student will save time and the paper can be written within the allowed timeframe. It is easy to write a 5 page paper. There is nothing difficult about it. Do not turn to AI to write your paper for any reason. The AI detectors that the teachers use these days will detect it and the failing grade will follow.

General Talk / Do "real" writing sites exist? [21]

The real writing websites still do exist. Although these are now few and far between. A majority of them have shuttered their doors both in person and online because there simply are not enough writing jobs to go around anymore. Students have been moving towards AI at a pace that is faster than the ability of the human writer to adapt to the technology. The companies that used to dabble in human academic writing have now developed writing apps that generate papers for the students in an effort to keep themselves in business. It is important to highlight that a number of them have refused to follow the trend and continue to remain human centered in their writing, hoping that the Ai writing trend in academics will reverse itself. We can only hope that such a time comes.

Mar 07, 2026

I think that the academic writers have stopped evolving in the realm of academic writing at this point. It is impossible for an academic writer to cultivate new contacts, grow his network, and keep working in this field because AI has all but taken over the job of writing research and other types of papers for students. This is not an ideal situation since Ai does not have the capacity to evolve its writing skills in the same manner that a human can do. While human writers will continue to exist, it will be mostly as AI trainers more than anything else.

Writing Careers / Writing companions [18]

I've been living alone since my mother died 2 years ago. I share my living and work space with her Golden Retriever who is the sweetest creature on the planet. He is also the laziest GR to have ever come into being. He can spend his whole day just lying on his bed and sleeping his life away. He is not keen on taking walks, nor does he seem to like me so much, except when it is feeding time. He pretty much leaves me alone to get my work done. He was always my mother's dog anyway so I guess he is still missing her 2 years down the line and this is how he shows it to me.

There are no bad academic ghostwriter anymore. That is because the writers also use Ai to smooth out their writing or assist them in the paper development for their clients. That is why I always tell the students to make sure that the writers are not using AI on their papers. The income to be made from both the local and international academic writing market is already abysmal. The writers that choose to remain active barely manage to get orders because the clients oftentimes inquire about costing, find out the price, then decide to go with free AI writing instead, without realizing the problems that AI writing brings to their grades.

Yep. I experienced that a lot when I was still an active writer. I remember how I would go back and forth with the client in the message board, hoping that I would finally make heads or tails of what he needed. It is usually the non English speakers who have a problem delivering the instructions to their writer. That is why, at that time, I always asked the student to send me the instructions as provided. Just retype it and send it to me so I can clearly understand what the paper writing instructions actually were.

Why is this discussion still relevant? The company indicated in the post is no longer active. Sadly, the companies that claim to use quality assurance teams to ensure the high level of writing for their clients are still running that con on the few students that they actually get to sign up for their service. The poor writers work hard for even lesser pay than ever before, only to lose out to QAD that kills the paper even before it reaches the client for review. The paper becomes bad because QAD meddles with the final product that the writer originally created. Sometimes, the quality of the paper is out of the writer's hands.

Kenyan writers can only work for writing companies that do not care to have repeat clients. They are usually hired by companies that know the Kenyan writer is usually a one and done deal with their clients. They cannot manage to keep a regular list of clients for themselves and the company because they can barely write their names properly for their own needs. Do not expect quality work from a person who comes from a country that is struggling to keep its economy afloat and barely has an educational system that works.
noted
Mar 02, 2026

Reliability and trust are also 2 important factors that work in the favor of a freelancer. Since there are a lot of bad actors in this business, students tend to stick with human writers who prove that they are their partners in learning, rather than a blackmailer waiting in the wings.

The website copy sounds like my 8 year old niece wrote it, and she probably could have done a better job at it. The company blurbs are so bad, a 2nd grader could have probably done a better job. That tells you a lot about the writers in their roster and what country the company actually comes from. The company definitely does not come from the US, UK, or Australia. The copy is to childlike, I do not see how a student would end up hiring the company. There is simply no writing quality to be seen from the website, which is an example of how the writers would produce your paper.

Actually refreshing an essay is no longer necessary these days. Why bother to use a refresh software when AI can whip up a model essay for the student in no seconds flat? The refreshed essay and pre-written essay market died ages ago. While there are still softwares available for the refresh intention, these have not been updated in ages either. The programmers have moved on to creating writing apps instead.
