Actually the Ukrainians have lost their lead in the "custom term paper business". They, and others like them have lost out to the independent writers who farm themselves out on linkedIn, UpWork, and similar independent / freelance worker websites where the middle man is removed, the pay is better for the writer, and the client gets to discuss directly with the writer regarding paper content and other instructions. The freelance business has taken over to a greater extent, within the academic writing field because the writers now have a better method of advertising themselves through social media and other platforms that they did not have access to before. So they have struck out on their own and managed to gain the clients for their independent "custom term paper business" who would normally have gone to the writing company. I find this to be a good thing. The Ukrainian scam companies are finally getting their comeuppance.

@Fredkarter you are being daft! Haven't you read what was going on between the client and the writer? Have some decency. Don't poach an existing client. Respect the writer - client privilege. Unless you are directly recommended by the original writer, you should not be offering your services, specially when the situation is problematic. Allow the writer and client to resolve the problem between themselves first and then after the client has informed us of the resolution of their problem, should you offer to take on the client, if it is still necessary to do so. Don't go swooping into the middle of a situation and try to make yourself the knight in shining armor. That's not how it works. All that does is it shows how little you respect your fellow writers and how you would steal a client if given a chance. Not good. That reflects negatively upon your reputation among the writers in this forum.

@Smiley73 I do not agree with you. I believe that we should keep on discussing this company, even if they requested not be discussed because students need to be warned about them. This isn't about following the forum regulations regarding DND, this is about making sure that the students don't bet scammed by a company that continues to promote itself as a reliable writing conduit when it is nothing of the sort. They don't get a pass for being a mere channel because they collect a commission for every successful transaction. That gives them some sort of responsibility in this area. They can't be collecting a commission for not doing anything. They are merely trying to disguise their actual company as an "agency" which is the same thing in my book. For as long as students have to pass through their services to hire a writer, they are a writing company and their bad practices need to be discussed.

Both the companies you indicated seemed to be doing exactly that. As for your friend's recommendation, that has one thing going for it -- your friend already has a working experience with them. It appears it was a hassle free transaction, which is why it was recommended to you. For an academic paper, you should be prepared to spend if you want to get a good grade. I would definitely go with the recommendation of my friend, specially if a discount coupon comes with the recommendation. That helps to make the expensive paper more affordable to the new clients. It's not hiring a cheap writer, its getting a discount on a well written paper. There is a difference.

What the hacks at this company do not know about is that PayPal always takes the side of the client in any disputed payment claim. They are out of luck. It may take a bit of time for the client to get their refund but in the end, they will get it. Paypal understands that there are scams like these out there and they are very careful when it comes to dealing with them. Though a product was not sold, Paypal understands that electronic media is a form of product and deals with the case accordingly. This company will not be allowed to continue to get away with these actions. They will eventually lose their Paypal account based on the number of negative reviews their company receives.

@Smiley73 is right. The website of the company speaks volumes regarding their writer's capacity to complete the work at a satisfactory level. You cannot judge the company as being reliable just by the way their copy is written on the site. Neither does it mean that a well written email response indicates writer proficiency. The quality of a writing company can only be ascertained once a client has hired the company for the job. Communications with the writer will be the best way to judge the type of paper that will eventually be completed. In which case I urge the student to cancel the work order. Having done a quick scan of this website myself, I would have to say that I cannot say this is a legitimate essay writing company. Don't get me wrong, it is an essay writing company. Just not one that instills confidence in a student desperate to hire a good writer for a desired grade.

It is highly likely that the address posted on the website sent the subpoena straight into a swamp. The address could very well have been a fake, which is why the company representative claims that it was never received. Of course it can't be received, there is no such address. That is one way that these companies protect themselves and manage to pretend that they are located in the UK when they are actually located in an unkept public rest stop at some run down gas station in some third world country. What I am wondering about is why neither party came back to report a resolution to this case. Perhaps an NDA was signed and the client his money back? Or the client just got tired of trying to get the money refunded? Perhaps the client was proven to be a representative of a competing company? The possible reasons for the open ending of this post is simply endless.

Not all native English speakers are better at writing. Native English speakers also make grammatical errors. That is why Spellcheck was invented. In addition to that, not everyone born speaking English has the ability to write. This is where the left brain, right brain discussion comes in. Some people, such as those good in the field of arts and sciences, more often than not find that they are not gifted with the ability to write interesting papers that do not relate to scientific formulas, mathematical equations, or even a properly worded research paper. These are the left brained people. The right brained people are those gifted with the ability to write interesting papers, have the creativity to make something out of a boring written piece, and also, they have the gift of gab, which makes the papers they write interesting to read. Based on my experience in hiring writers, I have only 2 Kenyans on staff who work for me on a regular basis. They do the job well for my clients within the K-12 range. I cannot allow them to write higher level papers because their English grammar and knowledge of the UK, US, and Australia is questionable at best. I can only allow them to write college application papers because the common app prompts are simple enough for them to work on which means that I can let them work on the simple papers while allowing my best and brightest writers to focus on college level research papers, masters thesis, dissertations, and other high writing level requirements. I believe that the only use for Kenyan writers is to help clear the simple education requirements of students that do not require research. Ask them to do research and my QAD will be stuck in proofreading hell.

Essay Writer leads one back to StudyBirdies. The website looks like it was designed for kindergarten students instead of high school and college users. It has an automatic chat window for instant service that pops up within 5 seconds of the window loading and carrying on a conversation with the agent sounds more like I am speaking to an AI than a real person so I would not trust that service either. Password Writing Services has disappeared into the night it seems so it is not even a consideration in this discussion. My analysis is that if you want to take a chance on any of the listed services, you will have to go with Essay Writer but be very cautious because I could tell that the agent started out as an AI before being passed on to a human who has problems with his English sentence structures.

I have to agree with Smiley on this one. It has all the elements of a scam written on it. The first thought that came to my mind was that this person is probably trying to implement some sort of identity theft. Since the Kenyans have been quite active in promoting their fake TOEFL, IELTS, GRE, etc. fake certification services, I believe that this type of information can come in handy for those fakers. Lately, they have also been advertising "authentic US / UK college certifications" which could also be one of the reasons this person was asking for these information.

Reading the comments though, it appears that he was not successful in implementing his plan. Like Smiley said, this was a pretty stupid way of doing it. Then again, not all scam artists of this kind have the brains to do it properly. This person is proof of that idiocy.

For sociology, it would be interesting to write about the ongoing worldwide social evolution as pushed by the influence of social media and the internet.

There has never been a more interesting time to study the evolution of society on a worldwide basis than today. My thesis would be based on the assumption that in the future, there will not be any individualized cultures but rather just one global and collective culture that creates a better society to live in since there are no more culture clashes to deal with.

Economy, I would consider a discussion regarding the digitization of the banking industry and how it affects the depositors and / or types of loans available to the individual / business sector. Perhaps even consider an in-depth discussion of whether or not blockchain or bitcoin will take over as a singular world denomination. That would be interesting to discuss because bitcoin is currently viewed as an investment trend that will eventually die out.

Culture in reference to social media would be a topic that has been little discussed. Is there really a totally different, separate, but social community inclusive culture emerging these days? What was the basis? How has it evolved? How is it seen evolving in the future?

Very little is known about this topic at the moment so it should be of interest to your professor to read about it.

I was with my writer buddies last night for an early Halloween celebration and one of them told me that the company he works for had just decided to ban the use of Turnitin as a plagiarism checking tool for its writers.

Nope. That did not mean that the company itself was no longer using the service, they just asked their writers to stop using it. Apparently the company was already submitting the papers the writers were turning in for plagiarism checking to the same company, which was resulting in multiple plagiarism results for the clients. So the company, which claims to use turnitin without having to submit the papers to the database, decided that the writers should not use the service to avoid complications.

Why, I asked, were the writers checking their own work for plagiarism? If they were not confident that their work was original, then they had no business working in the academic writing field. If the papers these writers were turning in had more than 30% copy-paste quotes then in my book, the writer should have been fired. I know for a fact that my friend never uses more than 20% of quotes and no more than 10 percent paraphrasing in any given paper so we had a good laugh at this latest development.

Why was the company using turnitin anyway? They know that the company holds the information in their database, even when the user specifically asks them not to. Don't trust a paid plagiarism service to do what you ask them to. There is no profit in that for them. That is the very reason why I tell my writers never to check their own work for plagiarism and I tell the clients that plagiarism reports are useless.

All it does it negate the validity of the original paper that was written for them. There should only be one person checking for plagiarism and that is the professor. That way the paper truly gets submitted for a plagiarism check only one, avoiding all instances of plagiarism most of the time. Actual and properly referenced quotes and paraphrases may still come up but it won't be a big deal since these are properly referenced within the paper and bibliography page.

Company affiliated writers take heed, do not plagiarism check your work on your own. It will cause problems for you down the road.

If you are investigated for contract cheating, and the university uses Turnitin to investigate, that company now has a way, using a specific computer code plagiarism software to prove the authorship of your computer code.

The universities now have ways and means of proving the original authorship or any written document provided to them. That is why you need to make sure that no trace of the program they wrote for you exists. I hope that you wrote the code yourself towards the end. That is the best protection that you have. If you did not use their code and you did not hire another company to do it for you, then rest easy. I believe they cannot prove their case. That is, if the university or your professor takes their claim seriously.

Writing Careers / Do writers from africa produce high quality work? [27]

Like I said before, I do not judge a writer applicant based on his country of origin. I base my decisions on a series of grammar, sentence structure, and simple research based tests using the English language as the basis for its completion. If the writer can prove to have usable English skills of at least a high school level, then I start the writer out simply as a personal statement writer. After a year or so, I give the writer a chance to work on high school level papers. If they perform well, then they climb the ranks in the company.

I have had several writers from Africa and Kenya work for me but I always find that they end up letting their accounts expire because they tend to stagnate at the lower writer level. They find it extremely difficult to work their way up to at least a college freshman level of writing. Which is why I do not believe that writers from that region of the world can produce high quality work beyond a high school level of writing. I have not had a writer from Africa on my staff in years because of my stringent writer promotion requirements.

An independent writer who is contracted by a US company is not bound by the US tax code. All taxes to be paid by the writer will depend upon what the tax code of the writer's country is. That means, the form that was given to the writer does not apply, since the writer is UK based. As such, the writer will have to fill out the proper tax forms for an independent worker / self-employed/single proprietorship company, whatever the writer has registered his freelance writing business as in his country. There is no issue to resolve in this case because the writer does not need to pay any U.S. taxes, just the taxes that his country charges on income from its citizens. Don't worry about it. Just ignore the form. It was probably given to you as part of the standard hiring package. That doesn't mean you have to use it.

While I have had students who honestly just use the paper as a model, they rewrite the paper to suit their own writing capacity as known to their teacher or professor, I have also had students who simply don't care about the Oath of Academic Conduct that they took when they enrolled in the university. They use the paper as is and turn it in for a grade. They are satisfied with any grade, as long as it isn't a failing score. These are the students who do not know how to use a writing service properly. They do not revise the paper at all because they figure that since they paid for an original paper, it should be good enough to turn in for a grade. Which, if you think about it, is logical. The problem is that some professors are wise to the tricks of the students who barely come to class but can turn in stellar papers. Low writing seasons tend to be the time I take for myself. I either go on a well deserved break, leaving my office in the capable hands of my staff, who know I am only a messenger text away if they need me or, I take on a big company project that will allow for a collective writing effort between myself and my team of selected writers. The big company projects are what helps to keep the bills paid during the low writing seasons. I thought all of the banner services help to cut out the middleman in the discussion? The writers are contacted directly by the students and the communication takes place between them. EssayChat offers the student the same opportunity to discuss with the writer without having to pass through a go-between. The whole system that the forum has set up for its vetted writers and services bypass the agencies by allowing the potential client to contact the writer directly.

I don't see the need for a separate part of the forum to do that in. Students are free to contact the writers for their dealings through the systems at this forum or, in some instances, through the freelance writer's personal website. So there can be no middleman interfering with the deal. The current set up has worked well so far so I don't think there is a need to add anything or change any of the procedures in place at the moment.

First, make sure that you have a long lead time before the deadline for your paper. Second, make sure that the paper you will be ordering isn't going to be one of those grade affecting papers in case the deal goes south. Keep it simple, A short paper that does not pertain to a very serious subject would be the best way to test the writer or the company. An opinion paper would be better suited in this instance. Try this method out a few times. If you are satisfied with the turnout, if the writing quality is consistent, client support is satisfactory, and you feel confident that you have found the writer that you will stick to for the rest of the semester then you should be able to trust this writing company and/or writer.

Our information doesn't end up in the trash and only those who are truly interested in acquiring my or my company services have access to our exclusive information. I listen to music after I complete the paper as a form of winding down and relaxing. As long as I need to be alert and focused though, I need the noise that comes from action flicks to keep me alert.

I would like to suggest that you try to find another line of employment. You were not made for the writing field. Not with that kind of language. You simply won't survive in this field. It is important for a writer to know if he has what it takes to make a career out of this field, or not. In your case, it is quite obvious that you do not have the skills to even get started in this field. Not unless you go back to school. Enroll in English language classes first. Learn the basics of the language, and work your way up to college level writing from there. You are not going to make any money as a writer, no matter how long you wait, based on your current writing abilities. It is obvious that you need English writing help yourself.

Since the educational focus of the government is on STEM and vocational courses, there is a slight possibility that the demand for specialized writers in those fields will increase over time. So the writers who are familiar with the field will have an advantage in that instance. Writers from 3rd world countries whose educational systems are not focused on STEM may find themselves at a disadvantage though. The focus of STEM education in their countries may be less than that of the first world countries so the quality of their understanding of STEM topics may be less than average, hindering them from actually writing good papers in this field. The low quality of education in their country immediately takes them out of the running when it comes to STEM focused papers. Try as they may to write the paper, they will fail because of the severe difference in educational standards between the countries.

300-360 words per page sounds just about right when the writer considers the formatting requirements of the student. I have had students request that 400 words be fitted onto a single page in some instances. It all depends upon their budget I guess. The smaller the font, the more words a writer can squeeze in. While client word requirements can be accommodated upon request, I normally tell my writers to write no more than 250-300 words per page. By the way, the word count per page will also vary depending upon the length of words used. The number of characters for each word has a bearing on the number of words that a page can accommodate. So there really are several factors, other than the company policy and student word count per page request that will dictate the actual number of words that can be typed onto a page.

When I was freelance writing, I will admit that there were benefits to having direct contact with the clients. As my client base began growing though, it became important for me to set up my company in order to keep up with the incoming orders. I designed my company to run the way that I believed would be beneficial to both the client and the writer. As much as possible, I stay out of the communications between them and only step in when there is a proven problem with the quality of the paper.

Being a proper writing service, the writers find that it is better for them to be tied to my company since it takes the guesswork out of dealing with the clients and collecting payments. The clients also find it better to have a middleman to turn to should any problems arise during the transaction. These are the basic reasons why certain types of students opine that it is better to work with essay companies rather than individual writers. I try not to have an opinion regarding this since I came from the freelancing writing world but now exist within the reality of owning an essay company. I for one have never found a need to contact any of the references listed in the resume of any applicant. As far as I am concerned, the only thing that I need to be sure of is that they are capable of writing in proper English and have the ability to complete at least a simple personal statement and not too complicated research paper. That is what I test them on during the application process. That is the job that i am hiring them to do. The only thing I am concerned with are their college level English grades and English classes that they took. Those give me an inkling as to whether they will do a good job as a writer or not. I do not care how they did in school when it pertains to other subjects. That is not my concern since I am not hiring them on a permanent basis with benefits.

This is a part-time, non-contract binding job. So as long as they deliver the final product as required by the client, I am all good with their references or lack thereof. However, I draw the line when a writer asks to use my name or my company as a reference. That is never part of the employment deal.

Look, there are some people who find it difficult to learn. Since they cannot learn effectively in the classroom, they require additional help outside of the classroom to be able to meet their class requirements. A writing service can be viewed simply as a tutorial services for these students. Tutorial services are not against the law, the educators do not frown upon students who receive such help, and parents themselves are guilty of completing whole activities and written projects for their children. All of these should be considered cheating but aren't.

Therefore, helping students by writing their papers for them should never be considered cheating. It merely an assistive service offered by able writers to those who find that they are incapable of performing written tasks in class. It is not cheating to help a student pass in school. The student still does most of the heavy lifting when you consider the exams they need to pass, which help to prove that they wrote their own papers. So yeah, I stand by my belief that academic writers are not helping students cheat.
