I am not a proponent of oxbridgeessays (TORG), at all. There are countless warnings about the company throughout this forum. Your post, however, is a bit confusing:

1) What about their "online chatting" and how does it prove that they are fraudsters?
2) They may not have received your ID the first time and, hence, placed the order on hold until they are able to confirm that you are entitled to use the payment method in question (that you are the credit card holder, the owner of the PayPal account, etc.)

3) One week after the deadline? Why didn't you contact them before that?
4) Price - yes, it is undoubtedly overpriced but, you agreed to pay that figure.

Onto more practical issues: if you paid and did not receive that which you paid for, demand a refund. If they do not send you proof of the refund within 48 hours (at the most) contact your credit card company and demand a reversal of the charges (chargeback). If you paid vis PayPal, submit a support ticket and state your reasons for the refund - demand one. At the very least, you shouldn't be out of your money.

Roger - I have a question. Most of your posts are about the above-named website and the company behind it - Brownie Freelance. Why? At times you seem to agree that they are not good and then you backtrack. Are you one of their customers/writers? If so, please tell us of your experience. I am beginning to suspect that your posts are, in essence, a lead to "EUREKA! They are wonderful."

I am here with a new device to help assist us,"We" writers and "We" customers who both are being victimized online.

How have you, O Daft One, been victimised? Did you not say that all websites were legitimate? Were you victimised by a legitimate website? If that's the case, then you probably deserved it.

How you feel about my idea?

I feel giddy with excitement! Brilliant idea!!!!! Seriously - are you completely and totally off your rockers?

Please put your emails and contact details here, mentioning yourself as a writer or a customer, so that I, the Daft Umar Daud, may proceed to fleece you dry

he cheated me as well stole money and dissapear!!!

we really needs to pay!!!

You are right. Peter Richardson should be hunted down and torn from limb to limb for hiring you as a writer.

now it is a lesson never trust a website again!!!the first one and the last one!!!!!

Again, I agree. I can hardly think of any who would hire you as a writer.

can someone track this email and find him???

Buy a plane ticket to the UK and go to Basingstoke. Knock on every door there until you find him.

Seriously - while Peter Richardson hardly boasts a spotless reputation, I cannot blame him for not paying you. Quite simply stated - you are incapable of writing a single coherent sentence. What on earth compelled you to seek employment as a writer? Whomever was it who told you that you are qualified to write in English?

Essay Services / anyone know of s2papers [41]

Seeker, I thought to give you the benefit of the doubt but you have thoroughly exposed yourself.

Of the three companies you asked about, you only mentioned the full URL for one of them in your thread title (the least known and inarguably ESL one).

You placed an order with all three (first time I hear of a customer simultaneously using three different websites).

You then came back and reported that the least expensive one (the company whose URL you mentioned 4-5 times), earned you the highest grade.

Sorry - I just don't believe you and am convinced that this entire thread was a lead up to your last post.

If you want to prove me wrong, please provide the order number for the essay you purchased through AA - am sure that one of their people (frequent posters) will be able to confirm or deny.

(but, again, would you not use Google if you knew their owner and founder was born and raised in Moscow, Russia?

If we were xenophobes or if this was about nationality rather than consumer fraud, then we won't use Google. However, this is not about nationality. It is about brazenly lying to customers about

1) company nationality
2) writers' nationality
3) writers' academic qualifications
etc etc

If you care about a quality product, go with them.

Yes - just ask CNN :) Or how about asking their writers?

Does anyone have first hand experience with them?

Would CNN do? They did an investigative piece on the company and received an `F' graded piece of work.

General Talk / Original papers or not? [29]

Now..how do we know if it's an original paper?

Apart from the fact that legitimate companies check the work prior to sending it to the customer, you can do so through writecheck.turnitin.com.

Plagiarism gets you fired immediately.

Unfortunately, freelancewriter, only a handful follow the one strike plagiarism policy.

why do the Ukrainians seem to dominate the 'custom term paper business'?

They only seemingly dominate the industry. In actual fact, there are only a handful of Ukrainians in the custom writing industry but each runs an entire network of sites.

The point is that about 5 or 6 Ukrainians own this vast network of sites. Considering that none declare the nature of their network nor admit to the fact that they own all these sites, outsiders may get the impression that the industry is dominated by the Ukrainians - not true.

The question is why does Alexei, for example, not exercise transparency regarding his ownership of all these sites? To trap students. Should Masterpapers lose you as a customer, they can email you promos from their other sites and still ensure that your work goes to them. You, the customer, do not know that, ultimately, you are dealing with the same company which had previously let you down.

I thought we weren't supposed to trust the Ukranians?!?!

That's a blanket statement and not at all valid. The fact that a few Ukrainians in the industry are less than honest does not mean that all are dishonest.

Because they have the skill and knowledge to run the business so that customers are happy.

Stu4 - you know better than that.

Emjey, how did you ever come up with the 7-character rule?

This is not good English: "We can all have the reasons in the world to stay not being fit but the thing is, we are just making excuses so as not to take extra work and physical activities. Moving a little more and eating lesser than usual amount of food we eat, would surely make us fit. So stay fit!"

This is AR's problem ... they hire just about anyone.

My posts are clearly demonstrative of my opposition to Academia Research's practices. However, your post does not establish that they have scammed you. First of all, whether or not their support personnel double as writers, is meaningless. How is that evidence of fraud? Secondly, most companies do not allocate large orders to newbies. Thirdly, how do you know that the orders in question were not picked up by 1st class or premium writers?

I am not defending Academia-Research and never will but am saying that your post does not establish that they scammed you and the points you've raised are meaningless.

Mar 27, 2010

BritGal - if more customers were like you, less students would be scammed. Your over-cautious approach is perfectly understandable and, given the proliferation of less than legitimate companies throughout this industry, warranted.

As WB told you:

I went through their webcopy and it is not very reassuring.

1) weak English
2) free dreamtemplate template
3) no real contact info
4) "About Us" is awfully uninformative
5) Misleading "as seen on CNN, NBC, etc ..."
WRT
Mar 27, 2010

Whose representatives? Not mine, as I am connected to none of the mentioned companies :)

My point is simple, actually:
1) It does not matter where a company is located as long as
a) it is upfront about it
b) owner nationality corresponds with company nationality (place of incorporation), for reasons of legal accountability
2) It does not matter if a company hires highly qualified ESL writers as long as it is upfront about it
3) Legitimate companies should not throw mud at each other but need to work together to push out the scammers

In other words, were you a Vulcan and your company registered in a different galaxy, it would not matter as long as customers are given the relevant facts.

Our company is officially registered in GB (with all necessary Companies House documentation)

I found this rather curious. Why register in the UK if you are an American?

Now with regards to the `spamming IP' issue, I have a comment. A few months back, and for less than a week, we were linked to a spamming IP. Upon investigation, we discovered that it was the SEO company we hired. Of course, we fired them on the spot. The point here is simple - none of us are infallible but we should admit it when there is something wrong, investigate and correct. We should not come up with excuses.

Mar 27, 2010

Essayscam.org Traffic - A pure "American" firm?

You do know that traffic has nothing to do with a website's nationality, don't you? If there were any relationship between the two, then:

If you are particularly religious, "Other" would be the Sin Eater and if you believe in alien life form, could well be the Vulcans.

Are you trying to say that all the information posted is not true?

I am saying, please provide the evidence. Rumours and innuendoes are not persuasive. If you have the evidence to disprove:

1) that ES is owned by Research

2) that WB is American, please post it. People have been going on about WB=Natasha for years. Surprisingly, none have ever posted any type of evidence.

3) that Writers obliterated Research, rather than vice-versa, please tell us.

As far as I can see, you are only repeating rumors which fly in the face of facts.

Hello John,
Let's try to have a reasoned discussion here:

1) Your info is from a blog. I advise you to look up the case. Please note that the company in question was completely annihilated by the US courts (if you are, indeed, American I think you know that published US court rulings are much more reliable than foreign blogs). The court order was enforced and the company was taken down. Its sites, all 500+, of them were transferred to Research.

2) WB=Natasha=Amy=the Man in the Moon, has nothing to do with the price of tea in China. The question is whether or not the info provided is accurate. It is.

3) Essay scam is not Essay fraud and it is not Research Firm. It is owned by a different company and ES' owners have been very upfront about it. In fact, you won't even find them promoting their company here. Just try reading a little and you will discover that this forum is not Research and it is not EF.org.

4) Instead of responding to the points raised, you chose to simply regurgitate rumors. Why?

5) Your company has been linked to a spamming Ukranian IP - you did not respond to that point. What has that got to do with anything? I have writers from all over the world and their logging onto our site does not lead to our being linked to their IP's. Question: why are you linked to an Ukrainian IP? Again - this has nothing to do with site visitors, customers or writers.

Students - Ignore steve at gmail

This person is a forum spammer. He is constantly fishing for clients through the spamming of this message board and others.

Ignore him or, if you decide to use his services, don't come back crying ... you only have yourselves to blame.

If this individual were any good
1) he would be rather busy during the high season (now) and would not need to desperately trawl forums
2) his `satisfied' clients would have referred others to him
3) his posts would be in proper English
WRT
Mar 27, 2010

Becca and all other students - pls ignore Steve's post. He is a well-known spammer and is, basically, recommending himself. If he were any good, he would not need to spam his email all across this forum and others. Just google his email and see for yourself. If his clients were, in any way, satisfied with his work, they would have recommended his services to his colleagues.

Steve, even during the high season, does not have any clients. What does that tell you about him?

Usernames are nothing to do with me

Is that supposed to be a joke? You really are illiterate - you can't even read the writing on the wall :)

Take a minute to think (not that you are capable of thought) - why are you allowed to post? One username after the other ...

If MOD you obey that liar and scammer WB and ban certain users, then perhaps some people might consider taking legal action against you

It is more than evident that you know nothing of the law. Your tragedy is that you really don't see it, though.

Considering your crappy posts, it is hardly surprising that you named yourself MadMuff :)

Another one of MY NAME IS NOW KEVIN's usernames.

A legitimate website is not afraid of being discussed in public

I agree, in principle. Both customers and writers should be able to air any legitimate complaints they may have.

While we are not on the DND list, I have a question: what do we do when we find ourselves the focal point of a psychotic stalker's obsessions? The stalker is banned, time and time again but keeps reappearing under different usernames ...
WRT

I am all in favour of exposing liars and scammers: why I have exposed you as an essay site scammer from Australia - and why I have exposed WB as a writer for that cheap shabby site [[ess]]ay[[to]]wn.

ROFLMAO!!!!! :)

The list exists because posters like WRt and WB were slandering, libelling, lying about and spreading false rumours an accusations against legitimate sites.

As a matter of fact, psycho, it was a response to you :) Remember your oxbridgeexpert username?
WRT
Mar 24, 2010

It's an opt-in list. Essayscam established it in response to the demands of the LEGITS who were being harassed and stalked by the scammers. Only one of the legits is up there now as the DND list has become populated by questionable elements.

WRT
Mar 23, 2010

Better to have NO such site than one which is full of lies and misinformation

Any forum loses credibility once posters such as you appear. How many usernames has it been, thus far? How many senseless and absolutely psychotic posts? You are a very sick person.

Your hatred of AA and ET is understandable. They have succeeded where you have failed. You just cannot accept that.

I repeat - spare us the AA and ET bashing. It is old and tired. It always intensifies during the high season as losers believe that scum marketing works. Guess what? It doesn't. You'll never gain customers this way. Focus on building up your own companies and stop your ineffectual attempts to tear down legits through the propagation of rumours.

Psycho - you did not add your parent company to the DO NOT DISCUSS LIST. You'd better do it fast.

I wonder why a certain company on the DND list sports templates which are remarkably similar to AA's?

WB and WRT has a LONG history of posting lies and abuse on this forum

For the 100th time, name names, please. Are the companies which lie about their nationality, their writers'qualifications etc., the ones you are defending? Understandable, of course.

MadMuff (pls look it up) get a life ...

Someone is being bashed elsewhere ... go sue :)

Mods - happy with the transformation of your forum into a mud pit where the insane are given the freedom to rant, rave, lie and insult?

Even in the virtual world, few like to associate with the crass, vulgar, psychotic, illiterate and ignorant morons of the world.
