You must have been writing essays for ESL students who do not know any better. Considering the serious grammatical flaws of your posting, I find it hard to believe that an English language native speaker would hire you as an academic writer. Any work that you did for the student would automatically be flagged by the professor because your grammar is so atrocious, you should go back to learning the basic rules of the English language. That is, before you try to write anything else. That is why the location of the writer and the intelligence of the writer, in terms of English grammar skills, are of the utmost importance in an academic writer. From the way that you composed your post, I do not doubt that your writing skills would be extremely helpful to a fellow ESL student. It is not the type of grammar that would help an ENL student garner the best possible grade for his essay or research paper. The truth hurts I know, but at least I am sure you are doing a helpful job for the ESL students who need it the most.

Why was a small claim filed ? Is the OP saying that the academic outsourcing company is in the same country as he is? If so, then good luck with your case. Which, by the way, the resolution of was never presented to the users of this forum for further information and guidance. I don't see how a small claims case can be filed with a court considering the lack of available information regarding the company. I don't think the amount in question was even large enough to make up for the filing fee of the case. I think both parties involved just used the discussion to call attention to the company. Note how the postings stopped after the "company representative" posted? Yeah, something stinks and I think it is both the original poster and the company representative. Who, come to think of it, may actually be the same person. It just seems very unnatural that someone so hell bent on getting his money back would stop yapping all of a sudden and never brag about the money he got back through the small claims court. I think this is a fake post regarding the company. Both parties knew they were making information up just to publicize their company.

I would not say that Indian based academic writers do a bad job. I think that they do an inadequate job. Okay, I won't say much about their grasp of the English language since they were a British colony and, having worked with a number of Indians before, I know that, when academically honed, they can speak impeccable English with a somewhat intriguing Indian accent. However, that does not make them very good English academic writers when it comes to the technical aspects of writing. As mentioned earlier, medical, business, law, and other technical courses require a native point of view, localized experience, and a grasp of the common discussions regarding these topics in the UK or American circle. None of which an India based writer can provide. They cannot provide the in-depth information for the paper because they are not participating in the correct circle of participants. As such, their information becomes limited, flawed, and inadequate. These are the reasons why, although they have a good grasp of the language, their work becomes inferior and unusable.

Why condemn all the Kenyans? Remember the saying that goes; "All it takes is one rotten apple to spoil the bunch"? That is the reason why all Kenyan writers are turned down by the non scamming, non-third world essay writing companies. The "legit" companies that actually stem from the US, UK, or Australia know the reputation of Kenyan writers by heart. They are some of the worst, if not the worst writers in the industry. As such, the on the level companies do not wish to associate with them. They will not only pull the writing quality of the company down, but they will also ruin the company's reputation because of their unreliability as writers. While not all Kenyans may be like that as academic writers, the fact is that the reputation of Kenyan writers precedes them and this makes it more difficult or impossible for the good Kenyan writers to get their break in the market. Opening multiple accounts will not help the writer because when the writer test is given, he is sure to make a mess of things and not get hired anyway.

They all claim to be good and US based. That is exactly the problem. Nobody can tell just by reading their copy writes if the company is legitimate, can deliver what they promised, and isn't a scam company. The reviews are paid for and therefore unreliable. The more glowing the review, the more paid for it is. The reviews are designed to trigger "keywords" that lead the students to the website. It has nothing to do with the company being legitimate or not. So what's a student to do at this point? Nothing. You have to choose the writing service that you somehow feel "comfortable" dealing with and hope that the experience is a pleasant one. From my experience, the flashier the website, the more unbelievable to quality claims, the more they stress that they are a company located in a specific country, the more the company should not be trusted. If that were the case though, the companies and writers would be out of business. This is a business based on blind trust and faith. Faith that the student can trust the writer to deliver the required project as indicated and without too much of a hassle. .

Unfortunately, forum regulations do not allow us to recommend any site to the students. Neither are you to ask us for recommendations as that is also against forum rules. However, you can contact any of the listed freelance writers here directly for essay writing help. They have a track record of customer satisfaction and guaranteed work completion. Just in case you are wondering, no, I am not a freelance writer. if you want, you can also refer to our EssayDirectory,. writers & services links, as well as the companies CustomPapers and GraduateWriter. Since those companies and writers advertise at this company, you can trust that they have been vetted for quality and dependability. That is not a recommendation though. Like I said, that isn't allowed. Reading through the forum, you should be able to decide for yourself as to whether a writer or company is reliable. Don't try to find a legitimate US company, that is impossible. You just have to take a calculated chance when you hire a company or a writer for your writing job.

Ultimate SolutionWell, the OP did admit that the service is run by Kenyans by indicating the country in parenthesis as a part of the title.

So there is full transparency in the post. It is up to the students if they want to waste their money with Kenyan writers or, if they want to pay for a productive paper by going with a true ENL writer.

Kenyans can't be faulted for trying to make a buck off the students.

They should be condemned for not delivering value for money though.

As that is always the case with Kenyans, whose reputation as writers far precedes them in the industry, we cannot stop those who wish to hire their services because they come cheap.

However, those who do engage their services need to know the risks and as such, be conscious of the fact that they will not get any sympathy from the "on the level" independent writers at this forum who could have done the job properly for them the first time.

Cheap service always equals poor quality. Remember that and you won't get scammed when hiring writing services anymore.

Ok, the company is under the DND list. Meaning, Do Not Discuss, yet here you are making a statement about the company. Regardless of the negative comment, which is the reason that the company requested not to be discussed here in the first place, you should not have helped to increase the publicity for the company by issuing a statement about their services. There is this old Hollywood saying that goes "Bad publicity is still publicity". That's exactly what you did here. You gave them a venue to be known to students who may just decide to not take your word for it and try their services anyway. Which defeats the purpose of your post. Do not Discuss means simply that, stop talking about them. By ignoring the company, we may just get lucky one day and their site and writers will disappear into oblivion. That won't happen though if people continue to discuss the company in whatever capacity they can. Don't get me wrong, I know your post will be helpful to the students, but could backfire by making other students try them out just to see if you are telling the truth.

I am not sure how you qualified to become an essay writer at any company. Well, I can only assume that you work for one of those fly-by night scam companies stemming out of a Third World country. I mean, the way you developed this post shows a transliteration way of thinking which will definitely prevent you from writing a properly developed essay or research paper. From the way that you wrote, I would even question whether or not you would be able to understand the provided instructions and required reading material. Please, don't waste the time of the students here. Go back to school and learn how to write. Enroll in English language and creative writing classes, that should help you develop some sort of writing skill that you can eventually polish to use in the essay writing business. Right now, any student who hires you will be in for a hellish experience. I would not advice that they hire your services unless they do not want to pass the class or, their own English usage skills are even far worse than yours.

Writing Careers / Kenyan Writers Exposed [17]

I take it then that you do not have a desire to try and change the image of the Kenyan writers within the industry? You know, it takes a few good apples to change the image of the bad ones. Since you claim to be one of the few honest ones stemming from Kenya, why would you wish to leave the industry? I can't be just that you are sickened by the image and reputation that Kenyan writers have. The way we view Kenyan writers in general is a testimony to the fact that nobody has tried to effectively change our minds about it. It is obvious from your post that you do not have any strong defense for the words posted in this thread either. Perhaps you are trying to clean your conscience by telling us that you plan to exit the industry. While is a welcome response (as we hope all unskilled Kenyan writers would do the same and opt out of the business), it would appear that there is more to your decision than you let on. Anyway, I wish you well and that your exit plan materializes for you. Best of luck in whatever industry you plan to enter into next.

If you want to make sure you don't get scammed, then write the paper yourself. Other than that, you can try to find an enterprising classmate who would be willing to spend his free time writing your essay for a set fee. That way you are at least sure of who your writer is and where to find him to knock him out if he doesn't deliver. You can also opt to not pay the writer if his work is lousy. Of course that is wishful thinking as any decent college student who is serious about his studies will not have the time to do the work for you. So when you hire a writing company, say a Hail Mary and hope that they deliver the paper on time, in decent English (at the very least), and with all requirements addressed in your paper. There is no way to assure yourself of not getting scammed these days are the companies are nearly impossible to verify unless you hire a private investigator. So save yourself the trouble. Either write the paper yourself or, hope and pray that you get a decent paper for the money you were willing to pay for it.

I don't know... it seems to me that this is more of a miscommunication than someone being mean to another person. More so, a writer being mean to a client. It doesn't make sense. The writers here all know how much good PR is required to keep their independent business running. Something doesn't add up. Perhaps the OP just had a bad experience because he is an ESL person and as such, could easily misinterpret anything his writer was telling him as mean or rude. Those who are not familiar with the English language tend to read more into statements from others than there actually is to the meaning. This could be one of those cases. It also isn't right to point fingers at any one specific writer from this forum without any evidence to prove your claims. Since the OP did not mention any names, then the vagueness of his reference should have been respected. Nobody should have taken it upon himself to out a writer who may or may not be the independent writer in question. That just wasn't fair to the person. No names mentioned means no names should be mentioned.

Researching RacismIt isn't racism as it is a healthy discussion about the rights and wrongs of the essay writing industry.

The discussions here are all about how the pretenders from the aforementioned countries tend to muddle the issue which is, the quality of work provided to the students who pay for their services.

By pretending to be who they are not, they give the legitimate writers from the UK and USA a bad name / rep.

Had these people not pretended to be something more than what they truly are, had they practiced more transparency in their work, then this discussion may not even be taking place. It would not take place because the students would have been properly informed about the true nature of the writer whom they wish to hire and as such, could have made an informed decision regarding their order.

That would have been the ideal case rather than having the students come here to complain to the high heavens about their writer who turns out to not be American or British in the first place.

Do you see why it isn't a race discussion but instead a discussion about misinforming and deceiving people instead?

While it does seem accurate to declare that only a handful of people from the Ukraine seem to dominate the industry, it is more important to ask the question "Why are these specific Ukrainians in the custom paper business?" The only response I can come up with is that it all boils down to money and logistics. These handful of Ukrainians have the money to burn in the business by setting up multiple dummy sites, bouncing the IP address all over the world until it becomes almost untraceable, and then create a seemingly legitimate online business front after. They have the money to hire software and hardware people who don't mind running a con game with the owners as long as there is money coming their way. Who cares if the company is legit or not right? It is because of the money backing these people that they can afford to dominate the industry with dummy sites. That is why they are in the custom paper business. It is the simplest way to perform a "get rich quick" scheme.

Essay Services / DO NOT USE ADVANCEDWRITERS.COM [27]

When dealing with companies that you find suspect, it is always best to give them a phone call in order to determine whether their claims of being an American of UK run company are truthful. Oftentimes, a phone call will result in you speaking to someone with an anything other than British or American accent taking your call. The strange accent will be so thick that you can cut it with a knife. That immediately tells you that this company will be a pain to deal with and, even though their selling points may sound enticing, you should stay away from their writing company. You will always be able to find better service elsewhere. Don't rely in their site blurbs in your decision making process. Those are designed to pull the wool over your eyes and make you forget to check their claims for accuracy. Always ask questions and investigate. In this case, I hope the comments made were able to help you finally decide that neither company will be worth the hassle of hiring them to work on your paper.

Exam NotesFrankly speaking, we don't recommend services to students, so what makes you think that we would recommend a company that would provide you with exam notes?

More so since exam notes are equivalent to cheating on your test.

Something that no writer here supports either. Don't think that just because you framed your request differently, that we would not see right through what you are trying to do.

Cheating is cheating no matter how you try to dress it up and pour perfume all over it.

Don't expect us to support such requests at this forum. You are on your own. If you know you cannot pass the subject then it is best that you drop out of the class. Then consider changing your major because obviously, you don't have what it takes to actually complete the course requirements for your chosen major. If you can't pass the test, you can't pass the course.

Don't expect someone else to pass the course for you. That is not how real life works and it is best that you learn that soon in your college career before you make a mess of your "professional" life.

Writing Careers / What we know about Kenyan Writers [33]

What do I know about Kenyan writers? There are some of them who come "highly educated" as per their own country's educational system. Yet somehow, their MA and PhD level writers would not pass for a college level essayist in the United States and UK. Their English grammar may be fluent in written form, yet traces of ESL can still be detected due to sentence structure and word formation inconsistencies. Their names may not be African sounding because of their being a UK colony for centuries. But then again, that is just for the first name. The second name is always a dead giveaway. Their papers are normally a nightmare to correct because their intellectual level does not match their written grammar skills when it comes to English writing. The writers and companies tend to run scams that also deal with blackmailing the students. Basically, everything that I know about Kenyan writers makes them a set of academic writers that I would never recommend to a potential client. Not unless I had an axe to grind and wanted to get the ultimate revenge on that unsuspecting person.

Registered Research CompanyJust because a company is seemingly registered as per online vetting, that does not mean that it is actually registered and is a reliable company.

It is easy to get a business registered electronically these days from any area of the world. Addresses are for sale, phone numbers are available, even a virtual office set up can be had for the right price.

The new ways of doing business has made it more difficult to spot a fake company. Specially online.

As with all things virtual, you have to simply take the word of the company for it and hope that they will deliver your paper and honor any agreements made. You can run a google check for the domain name and see what reviews and other company information turns up, Google Earth comes in handy when double checking the address and location, but may be a bit cumbersome for newbies to use.

So using the url investigating method works best. I have found companies that lead to playgrounds or vacant warehouses in the US using this method. It might work for you as well.

General Talk / Want to buy a writing website [19]

It would be better if you just hired someone to develop both the front and back end of the business for you. Then put together a decent advertising team to promote your site. There are a number of problems that could encounter if you decide to buy an existing website. The first problem, is that the company you decide to buy may be in debt. In which case, you will inherit arrears and have to pay for that (added cost of the company purchase). There may be back salaries owed to the writers which you will have to pay for as well. Finally, there are the chargeback claims that you will have to settle with the current clients. It is too much of a bother to buy an existing academic company. If the reputation of the company is bad, then you will have to crack the whip on your new staff to double down and correct the image. Considering these scenarios, it would be better if you don't purchase an existing company. It is always better for your company reputation to start from scratch then build its own reliable image. It is more expensive but worth it in the long run.

that these American companies aren't so clean as well.

Nobody ever said that the American firms dealing in academic outsourcing were on the level. This is a gray area business that cannot be called "legitimate" by any consideration because the work being done for the student is something frowned upon by the academic world. The American companies work for the student in the same manner that the third world companies function. The difference being that the American company can actually deliver usable work and good, reliable services to their clients. Which is less than what the third rate companies do. I would be careful about lumping the American companies with the bad eggs. The two can never compare. The third rate company can never deliver a paper that the student can simply submit for a grade. Those are the true model papers because the students have to clean up the grammar and request for constant revisions before the paper can even come close to being useful. American companies at least submit a paper that, if the client wishes to, may submit it for a grade.

To quote Henry Higgins from "My Fair Lady"; "In America, they haven't spoken it (English) in centuries". UK and American English are living languages that goes through a constant evolution. The meaning of words, the usage of the words, even the words themselves, are constantly changing. Based on these changes, it could be difficult for a non-native speaker to keep up. While he might know enough English to get by in the writing of simple papers, college level papers and advanced education papers require a higher level of English language use that the ESL writer may not be able to deliver. The native speaker, who lives and breathes the language would simply keep writing without missing a beat as the evolving language is a part of his everyday life. That is not so for an ESL writer. That is why it becomes difficult for the non-native speaker to write a paper that has proper vocabulary and presents itself in a coherent manner. Native English speakers are the better writers because of their continuing familiarity with the language. We can write in English without having to think about the proper word to use or how to use it in a sentence. The writing is better because the thought process is in English, written in English. Not thought of in a different language, transliterated to English, then written down. These are the reasons why I believe native English speakers are better at writing than a non-ESL writer.

Writers who work for themselves definitely do not charge a pittance for their hard work. The cost per page could be as high a hundred dollars for the independent writers. It could be more so the going rate of $0.01 isn't something that will happen to them. However, the writers who are attached to academic outsourcing companies could find that their rates during the slow season could hit this rate, depending upon how sadistic the company they are attached to is. Writers who see their rates dipping to these levels more often than not jump ship and don't look back. The promised rates on their websites are only meant to entice writers to apply to their company. They never intended to have the writer earn that amount per page for an academic paper. However, if the writer is valued enough to be spun off as a worker in some of the company's other services, then his rate will show an improvement. My friends in the industry have told me that the going rate these days is a little less than $ 4 per page. I told them they were taking a pay cut and they were conscious of that fact. However, they don't have any options for alternative jobs so they have to bite the bullet and hope things get better instead of worse for them.

Turnitin is receiving some pretty stiff competition these days from other "grammar" and "plagiarism" software apps and online sites. The problem, is that these essays are all seen as big data by these companies so they do their best to keep as much of the information from the research paper on their servers for an indefinite period of time. Your hard work is their gain. So that means, anti-plagiarism softwares are not meant to help you. It is only meant to fleece you of your money and then the company that owns the software turns around and makes more money off the paper you thought you just had them check for plagiarism. The truth is, all of these anti-plagiarism tools are just a means to an end for these companies. They don't really care if your paper is original or not, they only care that they can use the data in your paper as a marketing tool for their company. It is the fact that the students innocently go to them for help, only to be conned in the end by having their hard work turned over to a third party, that makes this anti plagiarism situation a bad deal for the students.

Writing Careers / Good asiawriters account for sale [19]

Why are you selling your account? Is there a problem with the company? Each time I hear about a writer who is selling or considering selling his writers account, I can't help but think that the writer, not the company, is a problem. I have known writers who can't stay put at one company long enough to memorize their writer ID. Or, if the company is the problem, why would you be so mean as to have a fellow struggling writer buy your account? If you know the company is the problem, you should just let your account find its way to termination instead of making money off some poor schmuck who just wants to make an honest living. Personally, I would not advice buying a writer's account because it could prove to be more of a problem than its worth. What with the academic writing companies now making phone calls and asking security questions when a writer wishes to either reactivate an account or change a password. A sold account will easily be found out and canceled. Then the person who invested in the writer account in good faith would be left holding an empty bag.

I'll pretend that I did not read that thoroughly confusing post from the OP. Instead, I'll focus my response on the title of the post instead. I believe that this is a subject that needs to be discussed because the industry continues to expand even as the original / founding academic writers have moved on to other writing avenues as part of their career progression / change. I believe that new writers, provided they are on the level about their English writing abilities should be given a chance to prove themselves to clients. The newer they are, the more they should prove themselves if they wish to have the same sort of career longevity that most of us have been privileged to develop. Students just need to make sure that they do everything they can to prevent themselves from being scammed. This normally requires vetting the writer and asking the writer to provide a sample of his work, say half a page, regarding the potential topic he will be hired to write about. If the writer delivers, then it is worth a shot to take a chance on hiring him.
Smiley73
Feb 22, 2018

I would have to say that students have successfully found a way around the plagiarism issue by hiring private writers to do research paraphrasing work for them. They place a plagiarism threshold on the paraphrasing of at least 16%. That is the maximum acceptable limit for plagiarism in any paraphrased work because this indicates that there is a low reference to actual in-text citations in the essay. By actually buying a previously written paper, then hiring a writer to revise the said paper, the student comes to class, submits the paper, gets a grade, and relaxes knowing that he got away with stealth plagiarism. It is something relatively new to the industry and the students seem to find a degree of benefits to such purchases when compared to having the writer create an original model paper for them. Using this method, they avoid plagiarism, the writer doesn't need to do too much research, and they know that the content of the paper is relevant to their subject and submission requirements.

It's just a way of scaring people. If John Doe did not receive or he refused to accept the finished paper, simply by not downloading it to his system, then he never completed the ordering process. He is well within his rights to file a chargeback. As for reporting him to his university, this is becoming a regular feature for scam writers. It appears that most students actually get scared and allow the blackmailer to succeed. The student tends to forget that the only people who can validly claim that he submitted work that was paid for are the educators from the university. If he really doesn't want to continue with the service, then he has every right to file for the refund. There is no contract binding him to have to pay for services not rendered. There is no problem with that. He can definitely file the chargeback within the allowable time frame. The threats are empty and he has nothing to worry about. The refund transaction is a legitimate course of action for the student and he hasn't broken any laws so he has nothing to fear.

I do not believe that students automatically need a writer with an advanced academic degree to write a paper for them. Not all papers that come in for writing help are of the master thesis / dissertation kind. Most of them are actually basic high school and college level research papers which can be completed by any writer who has a college degree. The college degree at least assures the student that the writer is informed about the most common writing styles and that the writer has a specialization to a certain extent. It is wrong to assume that all students need a masters of PhD level writer when the work does not require such type of specialized knowledge or writing styles. It is misleading to make that assumption as the students could get confused themselves when they read the paper. I mean, if they come in asking for an Archie comic book, they should not leave with a stack of encyclopedias. Simple papers will benefit from college graduate writers. Specialized papers, will do better in the hands of higher academic level writers as well. Besides, you never said what kind of research paper the client needed so I have to take your declarations with a grain of salt. Let's not confuse the issue here.

Feb 19, 2018

What I ordinarily do for direct hire clients is I take whatever cost per page the company would have charged them then I double that amount before adding the cost for electricity, the internet service, and manpower to it. That usually totals around $20-50 per page. You could look up the current dollar to pound conversion rate and base your costing on that amount. Just to get you started. It is usually difficult to price your per page orders at the start so you just need to get a foundation price and then adjust the costing upward as you develop your client list. Get to know their regular requirements, and come to understand how much of your energy and utilities are used. Factor everything into the costing over time and eventually, you will learn how to price these pages off the cuff. I suggest keeping your prices low at the start, increasing it over time with repeat clients. New clients should be enticed to hire you based on competitive rates at the start. Don't forget though, your prices need to be commensurate to the quality of your work. Make sure you produce high quality work so that you can justify your cost increases over time.

I was getting big bucks at one of the companies where I previously worked. At least that was the impression they had given me when I was receiving upwards of $20 per page, $30 per page for client requests. The page orders were always no less than 12 pages and the turn-around time was always at least 4 days away. The closer to the deadline the student ordered the paper, the higher the costing went. While I know that the price is probably a fraction of what they actually charge the client, I managed to get more out of the company in a way because my excellent work was always rewarded with a "bonus" by the client upon receipt of his grade. Working independently does have its perks as the writer gets the full contract amount out of the student. However, I was content to pay the "middleman" because I did not want to have to constantly bother with developing a client base and having to do the backroom office work that comes with being an independent writer.

Quality Team of WritersThese days, it is important to add another aspect to the character of a freelance writer in order to have him build a successful client list.

That is, the amount of trust that a student can place in the writer to not blackmail him after a number of years or a few months / semesters.

The biggest concern that students have these days all relate to the way that writers use the private information they receive and whether or not the client will be faced with a serious situation down the road.

A writer must have some sort of binding agreement, in electronic form, with the student that can assure the student that his personal information will not be misused or used against them.

Most of the students that I speak to these days always air their concerns regarding these writers who are becoming more and more difficult to vet be it through a writing service or direct hire. I always assure them that they can find reliable writers to work with, but they must always get an assurance regarding a privacy policy if they feel nervous about it.

Get the writer's real name and (hopefully his correct) address so that he can file charges if necessary. These scam writers are really making it more and more difficult to become a successful writer in a short period of time.

I am not sure if claims 1- 3 should be accepted as deceptions as the claims being made are actually an open secret among the students and writers of the industry. The students have the option to turn in the paper as their own, which is why it is delivered to them plagiarism free. These practices control the essay industry because these are the norms by which the companies run their business. No student complains about it so why are you complaining for them? The deception is not being played out on the students, the writers and students cooperate in order to pull the wool over their teacher's / professor's/ instructors's eyes. Even the educators know that these practices exist and they opt to turn a blind eye to it and pass the student rather than having to see the problem student again the next semester. They can accept the deception provided it is not blatant nor plagiarized. That is why 3rd rate writers have no place in this industry and that is why they often die a natural death in terms of their line of work. They can't create a client base if they have proven to the students that they do not have an academic writing bone in their body.

Academic Writers are Unsung Heroes

Academic writers are the unsung heroes of the academic industry. They work in the background, doing their best to help students achieve their fullest grade potential and ensuring that they will never have to worry about failing a class or making the cut for graduation during their academic career. Yet, the honest services provided are frowned upon by the academicians. The students can only speak of the benefits of the writer service in hushed tones.

The writers themselves sometimes find that some people curl their noses up at them when they find out what their job is. All because they think that the academic writers help students cheat the system. I myself had been on the receiving end of the curled up nose experience during my active academic writing career . Then their own children need help with their homework and research and who do their parents turn to? Exactly. It is sweet revenge to have them swallow their pride all because "I don't want to see my child fail".

That is why I believe that the academic writers should no longer hide in the background and they should proudly tell people what their job is. Without the academic writers, a certain faction / generation of past and current professionals would have been bound to fail and be reduced to flipping burgers in their old age, when their parents are already too old to support them.

@braine diaz you are starting to sound like a disguised company representative. Please stop volunteering to "share" your writer list with students here. That is considered and endorsement / recommendation. A move which is in violation of forum rules. Whether done privately or openly, you should not encourage students to contact you for writer references. The student may even wonder if you are actively promoting "private" writers because there is a financial gain in it for you. You are putting your own reputation on the line here because the experience you had with a "good" writer may not result in the same experience for the person you are referring to that writer.

Don't make yourself sound like an authority in choosing "good" writers by giving a seeming assurance of a "fantastic" grade. You may share your experiences at this forum but you should never try to endorse any writer, be it in the open or on the "sly" through DM. If the deal turns sour, the student will turn on the writer and you because of your recommendation gone bad. If you are pleased with a series of writers then that is great. Just keep the veiled recommendation to yourself because this forum does not exist to promote any writers or writing company of any kind. This is a place meant to warn students about the problematic experiences dealing with the wrong writers and companies can result in for students looking for sincere and on the level academic writing help.

@braine diaz who are you to decide that the aforementioned writer is merely average? Have you hired the poor woman to do work for you? From the looks of it, she is getting paid the same slave labor wages that the Eastern hemisphere academic outsourcing companies pay their 3rd world writers. It is sad that she is being treated that way and her situation will not improve, regardless of how hard she works. She will just keep getting abused unless she finds a way out of the vicious cycle. The only way she can do that is to strike out on her own as an independent writer. Working for a writing company will always come with the same problems. That is why most writers take charge of their writing career by moving into the independent writing field. It is difficult, but it beats being the whipping boy for these less than legitimate companies.

I am also confused as to what you really are @braine diaz. Are you a student or a company owner? You say you pay your "writers" $10 per page. Do you deal with the writers directly? Hire the writer through a company? Or are you an academic writing company owner who hires writers? When you make claims, you should at least be able to properly explain yourself or your intentions for making such statements.

Like you said, everyone is free to comment and offer an opinion at this forum. This is a free discussion stage where evidence for claims is optional. It is not required. Since you are a newbie here and you obviously have not bothered to read through most of the threads here, you are showing that you have no idea regarding the basis of the discussions being presented here. Neither do you have the grammar ability to truly keep up with the discussion and offer any relevant ideas, suggestions, or opinions that can help to heighten the level of discussion in any section of the forum that you have struggled to post in. The forum is filled with testimonials from students who have been repeatedly burned by Kenyan writers. The independent writers here have had to deal with the nightmare writing situations that a majority of unqualified Kenyan writers, and there are more of them than those who can actually compose a proper English paragraph, have created. A legitimate academic outsourcing company does not have any use for Kenyan writers. Only the 3rd rate scam companies would hire these people because they only intend on fleecing their clients, not producing quality work that can have them build a client roster based on reliable writers. If you are a writer connected to one of those companies, your above post proves our collective point.

In the first place, you should never have hired a writer to go into your school system to get your work done for you. When I was still an active academic writer, I always declined to work with clients who required me to go into their school server and then work on their class requirement from there. The last thing that I wanted was for the student to encounter a problem with his class or professor and then claim that I most likely had a hand in it. I also warned the students that they ran the risk of identity fraud and they endangered their school server by allowing people from across the world to have a key to get into the school. From there, it was only a matter of time before an evil intent writer can have a hacker friend of his break into the system so that they can create problems for the student. I have a feeling that this is what happened to this user. The complaint about the plagiarism thing may have come from the professor's account on the school server, but it may not have been the professor who sent the email. This could all be part of a very intricate blackmail scheme on the part of the scam writer.

General Talk / Plagiarism or NOT? Need help [11]

It isn't plagiarism. You are only using a similar topic but discussing it from a different point of view. In fact, the point of view that you will be using is totally different or unrelated to the first paper. I do not believe that you should be worried about being accused of plagiarizing your paper because of these reasons. For one thing, the other is a formal research paper with personal insight from the family. The other, is a power point presentation that will highlight an unrelated discussion. Nobody can be accused of plagiarism simply based on a similar title. If that were the case then students since time immemorial would not have completed their studies because of plagiarism accusations. Provided you never include any information, or borrow facts from the first essay without properly referencing it, you cannot be accused of plagiarism. You know how to avoid being accused of that so all you have to do is stick to the side of the road that leads you away from possibly plagiarizing yourself. Based on the information you provided though, it seems that is far from happening.

If you actually did your research and comparison investigation in a proper manner, you would not be coming to this site asking for opinions about these companies. You would already be able to tell for yourself which one is a scam and which one is legitimate. You have spoken to their client support, hopefully you remembered to ask the right questions, and you have studied their writer profiles. I can see that some of the companies you spoke to are actually "umbrella" companies that use the same writers so if I were you, I would steer clear of that company. You have more than enough information that you found on your own to help you decide which company you should go with for your academic writing needs. This isn't rocket science. This also shouldn't be left to a game of chance. What does your gut tell you about the companies? Which one gives you a confident feeling when dealing with their client support? That is the company that you should go with for your outsourced academic writing needs. Don't take our word for it, we can't be blamed if you follow the advice of one person here and it turns out to be a dud.

General Talk / EssayFraud is for sale? [51]

Sometimes, a company doesn't need to be losing money before its owners decide to sell the business. These third rate writing companies change hands at least once a year. I think it has to do with how much money they are willing to risk in the business before they decide that they have had enough earnings to amount to a decent return on investment.

They get out of the business before the students get wise to the fact that they are getting duped by the service and before the writers notice some salary collection problems. They sell the company to the next schmuck who is willing to run the cycle, make his money, then turn around and sell the company for a profit again. That way when the clients and writers start complaining, the owners can claim that the problem was created by the previous owner and they are fixing it now. Which is normally just a way of shutting up the concerned parties while they continue to ignore the problem of salary skimming and client shortchanging in terms of work quality.
