It is definitely worth it to take private clients. There are just several benefits that private writing offers which cannot be expected from writing companies. First and foremost, is the ability to earn the full amount without deductions or profit sharing. Second, is the ability to schedule your work hours so that you actually get some rest in between orders instead of receiving phone calls at all hours, or when you are out, demanding that you get to the nearest computer and deal with the client issue. Third and last, is that you get the satisfaction of hearing about how please the client is with your work, directly from the client. It makes all of the hassles of running a private writing business all worth it. These are but some of the reasons that I decided to set up my own writing company. Working for oneself can never be a bad thing.

I don't really believe that such a thing was or is taking place in the academic writing companies. I for one, pay my writers not based on their global location, but rather, on their writing skills. Writers who show that they are capable of doing extremely difficult papers such as a dissertation or professional office report / presentation will find that I pay them based on the quality of their work. Writers who show far less abilities in writing and cannot seem to progress past a high school level of writing will not get a promotion and will definitely not receive a CPP increase from me. I will not pay for mediocre work. That is all the CPP of the company was suggesting. It isn't discrimination to demand quality from the workforce. That is expected.

While writers should indicate that they specialize in whatever undergraduate course they completed, the students automatically assume that writers can churn out a paper regardless of the topic thrown at them. That is why it would be detrimental for a writer to outright admit that he has writing limitations. He can say that the "prefers" to write about a certain topic, but remains open to writing about any academic topic presented to him. If he is so picky that he only writes about topics he studied for his undergrad course, then he won't last in the academic writing business for long. He will eventually find that he is not progressing as a writer and, his capacity to earn is extremely limited. So, when someone asks me what my writing specialty is, I simply ask "What do you want it to be?"

Personally, I always double check with the client prior to submitting the paper. I also ask my writers to do the same thing. Dot all the I's and cross all the T's. If it turns out that the client forgot a specific instruction in relation to the essay, then I simply let them know that the error is not writer instigated and therefore, will require an increase in the cost of the paper. If the client doesn't agree, then they don't get the paper and all I or my writers get, is a partial payment on the order. No refunds. I do not refund the payment for client errors. If they are careless enough to not provide complete instructions, then they deserve to be taught some sort of lesson. Specially since they aren't the ones actually working on the lesson.

Actually, the company can also request that the writer revise the essay based on their need to resell the paper. It is common knowledge that writing companies, although they indicate a an intellectual transfer of rights to the client upon submission of the paper, try to put one over the writer by asking for a full, free revision, or the writing of a totally new paper, based on a new grade assessment, for free. They want the writer to do the work twice and only get paid once. I have seen it happen before, I have experienced it as well in the past. I have a feeling that the writer was right to fight the company on this order. If the writer had a grade problem with clients before, then it should have previously come up. No complaints means the writer was doing his job properly. So this is all on the company and their desire to fleece money out of unsuspecting writers.

Actually, that complaint form is meant to stop the clogging of the Client Care chat with complaints and demands for refunds. While I do not employ such a form on my own site, I do understand why the companies that employ low quality writers have it. From what I have seen, these companies use the forms as evidence of "writer dissatisfaction" so that the writer can be properly fined for the problematic paper. The report is sent directly to the writer, who is then given 3 days to explain why he should still be paid for the paper he wrote considering the client dissatisfaction with his work. The complaint goes into the writer's file. The number of and reasons for the complaints are assessed when it comes time to possibly promote the writer.

Writers hate receiving such forms in their messaging system. They know that their ability to charge more per page, and get that next writer promotion is on the line. Normally, the writers need to wait a year for another promotion when they receive more than 1 complaint during the year. The company uses the form to inspire the writer to improve his work and work on his client relationship with his current and future clients. I don't really find this practice fair, but I can't blame the companies that implement such procedures. It's the best way they know to "motivate" their writers to do better next time.

When a writing company has so many identities online, one can be assured that this is a problematic organization that has quite a negative reputation. Companies that deal with clients on the level do not require so many aliases to do their business. The reason that a company could have so many aliases that resolve to the same IP address is simple, they know that students will not bother to trace the history of the IP address. So they will manage to get some unsuspecting student, who they probably scammed before, under one of the other company names. In this case, this company has quite the reputation for delivering unbelievably low quality papers. I had one of their writers apply at my company one time. I did not even bother to give that writer a writing test for obvious reasons.

I do not offer a revision policy to clients. That is based on two reasons. The first reason, is that the student should be made to understand that all pertinent information for the completion of the paper must be submitted once the agreement to hire a writer from my staff is completed. If they do not give the complete information then they are out of luck. Rather than giving the writer a tough time with revisions, I simply refund the client a portion of the order immediately. The refund reflects the effort of the writer to complete the paper and the time it took for me to assign the paper to a writer of the expertise required by the client. It's their tough luck if they miss their deadline. It wasn't the writer's fault. The second, is that the paper passes through several draft versions which are submitted to the client. There are a total of 3 drafts. The client needs to approve each draft propr to the submission of the final copy. Hence, there should not be any reason for the client to ask for a revision. The same refund policy applies should the client insist on a revision of the paper, even though drafts were previously submitted for approval.

Unless the writer works for himself, he normally will not have direct access to the client. The middle-man exists to supposedly, assist in keeping the communication lines open and clear between the writer and the client. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case. The middleman often ends up creating a miscommunication between the client and writer. Even when using a PM system, the "writer assistants" tend to edit the posting of the writer or client if certain information that will result in direct communication between the parties outright. Personally, I don't have a problem with having the writers and clients communicate directly offline. As long as I do the fee collection for the writer, and I get my fair cut of the job, having them work directly with one another isn't a problem.

One of the other complaints that the writers whom I absorb from other companies often complain about is the sudden removal of an order from their active work list. This is an action the company does often without an explanation other than "client requested the transfer", only to have the writer see the very same order back in the order list in a few hours. Now, the writers who complain about this practice are the ones who often write well and have climbed the ranks at the company. They have to be paid more per page, which makes the company uncomfortable for some reason. Rather than letting the good writers complete the order, the company would rather assign the paper to a mediocre writer, who can probably get the job done at a lower quality scale and cost per page to the company.

Companies that use the plagiarism excuse to deduct from their writers salaries are normally companies that are about to go belly-up but do not want the writers to become conscious of the fact. This is a ruse that the owner uses to cut his losses as he tries to sell the company to another Ukrainian. What's worse, is that when the new owner takes over, he uses the same excuse to be able to recoup his investment faster. The writers never know the company is changing hands and they are even more oblivious to the way that the new company runners are using the ploy to hasten their return on investment. While I do not discount the possibility that the writer may have really written a plagiarized paper, I would still read this notification with a bit of doubt. Being familiar with the many uses of the plagiarism accusation, I know how it can be twisted to benefit the owners of the company and punish the writers for something they did not do.

EFL writers will always be higher in terms of writing standards than the ESL writers. The reason is simple, the EFL writers grew up speaking the language. It is their mother tongue, taught to them from the crib. They were educated in the American or European system of education, which means they are familiar with the writing styles and demands of the educational institutions. They are better trained to write in every way when compared to the ESL writers. While the ESL writers will be able to complete an English paper, a professor will notice when and EFL student has the writing skills of an ESL student. There are just too many differences in the educational background of the 2 sets of writers for me to believe that ESL writers will ever be able to write at the equivalent level of an EFL writer.

I always tell students who ask me similar questions the same thing; do not look for the legitimate essay writing website. Instead, look for a high quality essay writing website. Due to the nature of the business, none of the websites can actually claim to be legitimate or genuine. It would be difficult to spot the difference between sites in terms of legitimacy since they all claim to be legitimate. The proof is in the writing. If the writers of a certain company manage to satisfy the clients they have more often than not, then the question of the legitimacy of the site becomes moot. All that matters is the quality of the work. After all, the client is paying for the quality of the service. The legitimacy of the service never really comes into question unless the writer botches the job and the client representatives drop the ball during the mediation process.

Well, being part of the work from home crowd certainly has its benefits these days. What with the seemingly worldwide quarantine going on and students doing study from home tasks constantly increasing as the threat of the virus keeps people out of the streets, schools, and workplaces. We are the lucky few who have been doing this job for so long that working from home is something that is second nature to us. We don't find it bothersome, we don't find it lacking in social contact since that distracts from our jobs, we don't need to commute, the list of benefits just goes on and on and on... To top it off, our salary is constant. The office workers are either on SL, VL, or unpaid leave at the moment. So we have it great. We are probably the envy of those in our circle of family and friends because we, shall we say, get to have our cake and eat it too.

Corporate blogs are used for promotions. Mostly "testimonies" from satisfied clients. These can come in audio visual forms uploaded to YouTube or, through written "blogs" that discuss how successful the writer was at using a service or something. All I know if that when I read a blog that focuses on a product review, I know that it is a paid review and I do not take it seriously. That is why the "blogs" are now required to indicate if it is a paid advertisement or if they will earn something from mentioning a few products or if a reader clicks on a link. This client was probably looking for a writer to fill that part of their company promotion. Now I am left wondering if he ever found the writer he was looking for. I hate it when the OP's leave the discussion hanging. It's like a movie thriller without an ending.

The amount of money a writer can earn at any given company varies. While the CPP can change per order, what does not change is the cap on the writers salaries. The cap depends mostly upon how long the writer has already been attached to the said company and how much repeat business he brings in. The more repeat business, the higher his salary cap. The newer the writer, the less number of return clients he brings in, the lower his salary cap. There is no set income. There is no assurance that a writer will become rich doing this job. However, it is enough to get most of the writer's personal obligations paid. For most writers, that is more than enough reason for them to stick it out with a writing company. That and seasonal bonuses or productivity bonuses based on the company earnings during the year.

Starting your own writing career via business website, where you have to be the client representative, writer, and QAD isn't as easy at it would seem. In theory it should be easy to do. In reality, it requires logistics, enough savings in the bank to tide you over till your earning are in the gray, and a series of steady student and professional clients to keep the financial wheels going. Thinking about it, it was not easy for me to recruit clients for my company at the start either. However, I stuck with it and, eventually, the company took off. Was it worth it? Not at first. Right now though, I live a comfortable enough life to say that going into business for myself was well worth the effort. Most specially when I found myself in a position to begin writers for my company during my 2nd year in business. I keep a small, happy, and satisfied staff of employees now. So yeah, I guess it is worth the effort. If you can stick to it until it takes off.

Custompapers is one of the few legitimately run academic writing websites on the web. They have a track record for quality and, they do not use 3rd rate, ESL writers on their staff. Their client support representatives are at the top of their game. No request from a student goes unattended. No writer message to the client is left undelivered. In terms of doing the middleman work, they are excellent at their jobs. The writers also have a reputation for being problem free. Revisions are rarely required and if needed, it is usually because the client forgot to inform the writer about something. Their writers know that their ability to satisfy a client's needs will help the reputation of the company and their salaries as well, that is why the company prioritizes customer satisfaction above all else. Well, okay, I exaggerated a bit. It's quality work first then client satisfaction. If the client is happy with the quality, then the client is satisfied with the company. I see this client as perhaps, being a wee bit too demanding, hence the unsatisfactory and unfair review given for the company.

I view academic writing as similar to the occupation of a doctor. A doctor is constantly learning and honing his craft so that he can continuously get better at his craft and stay int he loop when it comes to the latest medical trends. In the case of a writer, it is important that he stay abreast of the current events in relation to possible future topics. A writer's knowledge has to be constantly expanding because the academic improvements in terms of teaching and information given to students will always be marching forward. The last thing a writer, who values his career, wants to do is to be left behind. That is why I encourage my writers, based on my own writing experiences, to continuously educate themselves. They do not need to attend formal studies to do that. Simply reading the news and bearing in mind the information received from these sources, will allow them to perform their task well. Mostly because they receive a foundation for possible essay topics as submitted by the students.

Essay companies will only struggle to keep their writers if the company is located in a third world country and runs a slave camp for writers. The latter being the most common reason that writers refer to when they leave a company. The third world writing companies see the writers as drones instead of human beings. They are run into the ground to the point of developing major illnesses, which the academic writing company will not pay for. These writers don't have insurance so when they get sick, they end up on the no-work, no-pay list of the company. That is why the writers would rather leave these companies and try their luck elsewhere, but still within the same line of business.

Actually, I would have used the third choice as my first choice. That is, if I had written this list. There is a different sense of safety for both the client and writer when they are in direct communication with each other. A sense of trust is built that cannot be achieved through the other two choices. It is important that the client speak to the writer directly and vice versa for the speedy completion of the client's order. That, if you consider everything else, is really the safest way to get a student paper completed. I am sure Freelancewriter will back me up on this.

Since Paypal no longer allows academic writing companies to pay their writers via that system, the payment process for writers has become longer. It could take up to a week before a writer can see the money in his bank account because of changes to the payment channels that the companies transferred to. It is not the fault of the writing companies these days when the payment to a writer ends up being delayed. It is more of the fault of the payment channel. The normal time it takes to transfer money to a writers account these days could be anywhere from 4-7 days. Depending upon the payment channel. So, in answer to this question, there are no longer any writing companies that pay the writers fast. We couldn't even if we tried. It's all in the hands of the new payment processor.

Students who pay writers to complete their work should only feel bad if they receive an inferior paper or a grade less than they expected once they submitted the paper. Otherwise, they should feel a sense of satisfaction from having paid for a quality paper that delivered the expected results. Consider that the student who pays for the paper is a client who is expecting a properly rendered service. It would be impossible for him to feel bad about the service if the worker delivered on all fronts. However, if the service cost was high and the output delivered is less than satisfactory, then I would not blame the client for feeling bad or even cheated out of his cash.

I have never been impressed by college graduates. I know of several college graduates who never could do their jobs properly. They always buckled under the pressure of the job. They were excellent in college, even had honors throughout. However, when theory had to be turned into practical applications, they just forgot everything they learned in school. The result? Lost promotions, lost projects, lost success. Unless a college student hones his practical skills at the same pace as his theoretical prowess, I doubt that he can actually succeed in his professional life.

Sleep deprivation is something common only among writers who work for academic writing companies. The people who own those companies run slave camps, not offices. They could care less if a writer goes a week without sleep, or if they woke the writers in the middle of the night. Starting out, I found myself having to pull all night jobs at least twice a week. That is, excluding the midnight phone calls to please work on a paper because the client really wants me to work on it. Little did I know that was all a lie. The client did not know me and the only reason they woke me was because the paper was being passed around, hoping to find a writer. Anyway, I would say that I would lose about 3 days worth of sleep a week at the most. I heard that we never recover from lost sleep. Let's hope that we all do not pay for the abuse we received and accepted from these companies in the future.

Let's face it, there are always going to be some students who just don't care about their studies. "Mom and Dad are filthy rich and they can buy my way into anything or anywhere." This is the mindset of the spoiled college students. They just buy the papers because they know that eventually, their parents can "fix" things for them. So they don't care if they spend their money on mediocre papers. Just as long as they have something to submit to the teacher. They believe their grades are "negotiable" and as such, the quality of their paper will not matter. They go cheap when purchasing a paper because they want to spend their money on more "fun" stuff. So they hire on the cheap side. They are aware, they just don't care.

Well, Paypal made good on its threat. It has cancelled the accounts of several writing companies that I know of. I am sure there are others out there that I am not familiar with who also got their business accounts cancelled. Luckily, Paypal no longer holds the torrens title to being the only digital money channel out there. The companies and their writers were able to find alternative money transfer methods that, now that most writers think about it, gives them more benefits with regards to money transfer than Paypal ever did. Gone are the days of writers having money transfer problems because PayPal did not exist in their home country. They can get paid easily for their hard work now. Academic writing companies and their writers are here to stay, the money channels and academic institutions will just have to learn to accept that truth.

I believe that writers who try to break out on their own fail because they fail to understand the importance of paid social media promotion in the business. These days, having a website isn't enough. You need to exist with a high profile on social media. It is unfortunate that the social media promotion comes at a steep price. That is why the freelancers tend to shy away from paid advertising promotions using social media channels. While word of mouth advertising gets students to know about them, if the independent writers are not insta-famous, hashtag popular, or heavily liked on social media, then the potential clients, who grew up with the "anything on social media is alright" mindset will not pay attention to the website, much less hire the writers from that site. It takes money to make money. Invest in advertising. Heighten your writer social media profile, that is the only way to prevent an independent writing business from failing.

I agree with Write Review, there are some students who think that proofreading means they will get a new paper from the writer. They don't understand that proofreading only entails correcting their written mistakes, not a rewrite of the whole paper. That is why I found myself offering paraphrasing services to the students. It took the place of proofreading and the students seemed to understand that paraphrasing is what they actually want, not proofreading. I get ample orders for paraphrasing from both ESL and ENL students. Let's face it, there are students who would rather buy pre-written essays and just have it rewritten to suit their needs. It's more difficult to paraphrase so I charge a premium for that service.

If a company has spelling errors on its website then it means just one thing. The student should not hire anybody from that company. If the company owners are so careless that they would approve the copy with those errors existing or, if they insisted on those "forced" errors, the company is just after the money it can fleece from the student. The company writers should not be expected to produce quality papers because, if the content of the website will be the basis of their writers skills, then good writing skills do not exist among their writing staff. This question is really silly in my opinion. If there are spelling mistakes on the site and you still hire a writer from that company, then you will get what you paid for.

I have found that students have varying definitions of what a scam is. Sometimes, when there is a miscommunication with the writer, the student immediately jumps to the conclusion that the writer or the company is running a scam. When the actual problem was that the student did not provide adequate or gave confusing instructions to the writer. Or, a student might read a paper and say, I can work with this and improve it. They decide to get a refund based on the "scam" definition. In actuality, it is the writer being scammed. I would be careful about throwing around that word. Nobody really knows the rest of what happened behind the scenes of a scam complaint at the forum. Underlying reasons exist and nobody should decide that someone ran a scam based on partial information.

If you want to really have a writing company that can be relied on for a steady income, I believe that a writer cannot be a one person company. I started my own company only after I had worked for a writing company for over a decade. Having saved up enough, I was able to launch my own server, pay for promotion campaigns, and hire a few staffers and writers to help the company get off the ground. It isn't easy to get the company launched, it is even harder to keep it running on your own. I have staff because I want to be of help to other writers and employ people whom are personally known to me as jobless. I run my company from my heart, which is why I could never start a company and work just for myself. Sure I have a steady income now, and I basically work for myself. I am happy about that, but, I am even happier that I am able to help others in the process.

I conduct staff meetings with my writers and attend scheduled writing seminars with them, even though I rarely write for clients these days. It is important that I brush up on my writing skills and gain insights into the latest writing software and research tools that can help my company remain competitive in the market. Only when all of these errands are done at the office do I allow myself to enjoy some down time. I normally throw a small get together with my staff and writers overnight, company sponsored of course, just to make sure that everyone is on the same page when it comes to working for me. It's nothing flashy, just a simple weekend where we forget about work and focus on friendships and repairing any work related issues between employees.

Working for writing companies at the start of one's writing career is a necessary evil. It is the only way a writer can get a steady stream of work and build a client base. It is also the best way for a new writer to get introduced to both the good and the bad of the business. The company writing experience is the place where the writer will learn how to run his own independent business when he feels he is ready to strike out on his own. It is also, one way of learning the limitations of your writing style, skills, and level. The reality is, the writing companies are good as a training ground. A writer should never aim to work long term for a writing company. He must eventually strike out on his own. That is, after learning all that he can from the company and the clients existing there.

On the contrary, it is not difficult for these writers out of Asia to learn how to write in the American academic style. There is always the internet to refer to in order to learn the tools of the trade. Then, there is of course, the instructions coming from the student that a highly educated Asian writer will be expected to follow. The research materials are provided by the client, the internet and online libraries provide the rest. As long as the writer is willing to improve his technical skills through self-training and self-teaching, I don't see any problem with a Philippines based writer taking college level orders. I speak from experience, having a few Philippine based writers on staff, I have learned that these writers can actually level-up their writing skills. Provided the company (that's me) gives them the required technical skills training that they require. I require the same training be applied to all my writers, regardless of where they come from. You would be surprised at how many US based writers I have on staff who needed to be trained in research paper formatting and advanced essay writing. Luckily, the training they received from the company helped improve their writing skills so they were able to eventually break out of high school level paper writing. I refer to both the Asian and US writers on my staff in this instance.

My worst experience would have to be a client who asked me to revise the content of his resume about 10 times, each time, changing the content and format with the inclusive instruction; "This time, do not mention xxx. Instead say xxx". Every single time. It got to the point where I had to remind the company that I was rewriting the paper already, not revising content. Guess what? What company did not care. They said the client paid for unlimited revisions and that is what he was getting! The company apparently did not understand the difference between a revision and a rewrite, I left that company soon after that experience.

I can understand why the company told the OP that QAD had to check the paper first. The company would just like to make sure that the writer followed the client's instructions to the letter. There have been times when students just change their minds about the paper they ordered so they request for a refund based on low quality results of the paper. The job of QAD is to make sure that the paper was of at least minimum standards (client instructions were followed) before they offer a "partial" refund, for the paper. Don't expect to get a full refund, that will never happen. That was probably what happened in this case. I am not saying that the student should not be mad. Rather, I am saying that the student should have been patient and waited for the protocol to be followed before blowing his top.If the client rep was rude, I would like others to stop to consider, what kind of attitude did the student have during the chat? Was he combative? Perhaps something triggered such a reaction from the client representative? I would like to think that these customer care agents are trained in negotiation tactics before they are assigned to their jobs.

I can think of only one reason why taking online classes would be better than taking offline classes at the moment. The student will avoid direct exposure to millions of germs, specifically, the Covid 19 virus. If one really wants to avoid getting infected by any type of communicable illness, then take online classes. That is why the advent of video conferencing is a godsend during this trying time. Students can still attend classes, take exams, complete projects, all from the safety of their homes. Socializing isn't a problem, there isn't a student alive today who isn't constantly connected to social media. Virtual parties could even become a trend. Yep, there's only one highly valid reason to prefer online classes and that is, for health safety purposes.

Since Paypal no longer accepts payments for writing companies, I believe the company is no longer part of the issue. Although, the actual problem, which is, the clients who file refunds either directly with their writer or through other payment channels, still stands. In my case, I simply don't offer refunds to the client. There is no sense in offering refunds because, as an independent writer, I am in direct contact with the client at all times. So there is no chance of miscommunication nor failed paper deliveries. I do not sign on to work with clients who do not agree to my no refund policy. I am lucky that my reputation as a writer has preceded me in most student circles so they know that I will deliver what they need and they need not worry about refunds. If you allow a client to get a refund policy from you, then you can bet that they will use it. So it is better not to offer a refund policy at all.On the side of the writer, simply don't take orders you know you can't complete so you won't have to risk giving refunds to your clients.

Writing Careers / Bidding for projects [10]

Newbie writers have this misconception that they can start earning big bucks the minute they are accepted by a writing company. Nothing could be further from the truth. Every new writer needs to understand that when they are employed by a writing company, they start at the bottom of the writers pile. The pittance payments are a given. When it comes to earning at a writing company, the new writers need to understand that it isn't the CPP that will give them the earnings they desire, it is the amount of work that they do. If they keep bidding on lower projects, they will eventually start building up their work file. The HR department will keep close tabs on writers who work on low priced papers but deliver quality products. Those are the writers who slowly find themselves being assigned to higher priced papers. It may take some time but patience will eventually pay off for these writers. Just like any regular job, the rank and file employees need to wait their turn to climb the ladder of success. Remember, being a company affiliated writer is not the same as being a freelance writer. So the income for those types of writers will be more difficult to earn when compared to the true independent writers.
