I don't know if a company that is announcing that it is located in the Philippines is one that can be trusted to provide high quality academic papers. They even boast of their different CPP for ENL and ESL writers. Their server does not have a sizeable number of orders either. Making me wonder about how they are managing to stay in business. It is up to the student if he or she will gain any confidence from the obvious red flags on the site.

The affiliate program actually saw a short comeback among the writing companies a year or so ago. This was at the start of the AI shift with regards to academic writing. The companies thought that by offering affiliate earnings to their clients, that the clients would be able to bring in other students to the company. Sadly, it did not work because the students were weary of fellow classmates or schoolmates referring them to these programs. They feared their schoolmate turning them in and preferred to work using AI instead.

The previous years have seen some writing companies and independent writers reporting their clients to their universities. These have resulted in academic investigations for the students, some of whom were expelled or had their diplomas revoked. I believe that this was brought about by their dire need for money in a field of work where the income has been steadily dwindling.

That is a good question to ask in the age of AI writing. We have this forum to help students find reliable writers and prevent them from dealing with fraudsters. The market has been changing though with students more focused on using AI to complete their work, That negated the need for human writers. There are a large group of students who no longer need the advice that we give them because they avoid the "problems" by using AI to bypass the human factor. I guess that I find myself questioning if there is actually a point to keeping this forum alive these days. Has this forum become irrelevant?

Sometimes, it is best to just charge these things to experience. Where a student commits a fraudulent act, the writer tends to counter with blackmail. In which case, both sides can do damage to one another. A writer can report the student to the school. A move which can result in expulsion or a rescinding of the student's diploma. The student, can bad mouth the writer all over the web and ruin his chances of gaining clients. A double edged sword if ever there was one.

I think it is about time that this discussion is updated. Since I am no longer an active academic writer, I would like to find out how AI has affected the ability of the writers to earn these days. Has there been a downward trend in terms of order placement? How much less, percentage-wise, is your income? How have you managed to stave off the AI competition and retain your current client base? Has there been any client base increase for some of you?

Not receiving any projects from essay writing companies or being unable to bid, due to lack of orders, is more the norm than the exception these days. The clients for human writers is fast dwindling and we are helpless to stop it. The companies are doing their best to recruit new clients or keep the existing client base but technology is just proving to be a formidable opponent. The student mindset has to change. They have to realize that human writers are still their best option. Once that happens, maybe we will see an uptick in the company based orders for original essays.

What we were taught in school is that an apostrophe S is used when indicating the ownership of something. The non apostrophe S indicates the plural form of a word. That seems to be the most standard application of the apostrophe S rule that the non native speaking writers seem to miss. They have created their own rules and no longer follow the English writing norm. Either that or they simply do not care about how auto correct presents the words that they are typing into their screen.

Essay Services / My Custompapers.com experience [18]

The students should continue to have a good working experience with this company since they are one of the few remaining that seem to refuse to bend to the AI academic writing trend. They have not developed their own AI coding at this point for automated essay writing (with a fee). So they still employ human writers. Which means the students will continue to receive good marks, non plagiarized papers, and efficient customer car.

The CPP of writing companies have been falling like the stock market or interest rates at the banks. They are paying writers less and less these days due to the lack of clients. The students have not been relying on human writers the way they used to and it shows in the way that these academic writing companies are cutting back on the CPP of their writers. They are hoping that by slashing their rates, the clients will come back. The problem is that the writers suffer the most in this situation. It is difficult for writers to get orders as it is. The companies are being honest with the writers about this case and the writers are given the choice to either stay on or move on.

Writing Careers / Kenyan Writers - stop hiring them? [162]

A Kenyan writer will always be found out through his grasp of the English language. They can write in English, but not at the proficiency level expected of a native speaker. They write more like intermediate English users. They betray their educational attainment in the manner that they write. Oftentimes, they use "big" words out of context, and they fail to write a cohesive paragraph most of the time. Their best work could be considered gradeschool level at best. These are the reasons why they find it tought o get writing jobs these days.

Independent writers can still try to gain clients via social media postings and networking. That is not to say that it will be a successful endeavor though. They need to sell the student on the value of paying a human writer instead of using AI. That is actually where our problems these days lies. The students now grew up as a part of the tech world. They trust tech more than they do other people when it comes to completing their tasks.

The dollar value is once again, proving to be a problem for people globally. Trump's tariff and suspensions are really doing a number on the value of the dollar both locally and internationally. You won't believe the price of eggs in the US these days. So, would it be advisable to hire US writers at this point? Currency conversion aside, you pay for the quality that you get. If you want a really good paper that passed the critical eye of a human writer, then order from a human based writing firm. Don't look at the cost. If you scrimp, you end up with a writer that uses AI to complete his work. Save a few bucks, end up with trash.

The writing websites have been severely affected by the AI bots that the students prefer to now use over a human writer. It is no longer possible for writers to apply at academic writing companies because of the current freeze hiring in effect at all the writing websites. You could try to start an independent writing career but it would not be easy to penetrate that saturated market either. There are too many writers and not enough clients hiring humans these days.

A major number of these sites have gone offline. However, there are a few that have resurfaced over on FB and X. Even Threads plays host to a few of them. Using social media to promote their business has made it easier for them to scam the students as well since it is easier to set up dummy accounts and troll farms that would help to promote the business and make these seem like legitimate and trustworthy companies when the "people" leaving the positive reviews happens to be a teenager locked away in his room in Asia, posting positive reviews as fast as he can generate his fake accounts and personalities.

While we all thought that proofreading would be the one field that AI would not be able to participate, here it s a few months later and we find out that they can revise, edit, and even rewrite the essay for the student. In fact, I know of some students who pay a human writer to generate their paper, then they send it off to AI for "improvement". Something that I cannot believe the program can do accurately but then I saw the work it could do and my mind was blown. While it cannot fully replace a human at that task yet. It just might do that in the future

Professional freelance writers do not normally publish their terms of service publicly because they prefer to create that on a case to case basis. It will depend upon their negotiations with the client and what the halfway point for both parties are. It is not something that falls under the one size fits all description when the deal is done between an independent writer and a student. It is best to ask the writer to negotiate the terms of service before agreeing to hire him then.

IP information has become more secretive as the years have gone by. I believe that this is because of the advent of the Data Privacy Act across various countries. While this is meant to protect the privacy of a business or person online, it also poses a risk to the people engaging with these people and businesses since they can no longer see pertinent registration information that would help the person assess the potential problems they may encounter when dealing with a business

The idea that a writer will be able to find a trustworthy client these days is almost null. The clients are really moving into the AI essay and research generated content field where humans find it difficult to participate. If I were you, I would focus on trying to find clients first, then worry about how to test their trustworthiness later. Get the client first. Everything else will fall into place after that.

Students that use AI to write their essays cannot avoid plagiarism detection. Their paper is usually 100% plagiarized anyway. So going to an actual writer to help them avoid plagiarism could help them instead of harming them. These days, the human writers are the student's best bet when it comes to trying to achieve a proper grade using a paper that uses human thought and logic to develop the content. That is what makes the paper original in the first place.

It is generally best to file a chargeback with a CC within 48 hours of receiving your paper and proving that it is not a proper sale. However, the refunding process could take up to t 3 months, with the CC asking that you pay first so they can deduct it from your future charges. They do not normally refund in cash. The crediting could be a patience tester though. Some CC will not do the rebate work unless you personally follow up and force them to do it.

General Talk / Essay mill trying to scam me [9]

The best thing for you to do is to come clean with your adviser. He already knows you paid for the writing service. He already knows you tried to cheat and beat the system. Do not go into that meeting thinking that you can explain your way out of it. You have been caught. The only thing you can do now is ask for leniency and hope that they give you a slap on the wrist instead of a suspension or expulsion.

There is also the possibility that the person hired to take the exam will not be able to enter the online classroom This is because the system is designed to check the IP address and country location of the student ID being submitted as of login time. The system will block any attempts to login to the student system from a red flag location regardless of the correctly submitted information.

Technically, Paypal now deals directly with writing services under the banner of their "digital services" payment channel. This is the loophole that brought the writing companies back to Paypal and also, allows PayPal to deal directly with errant writing companies and independent writers. Although, Paypal is no longer the sole payment system in play anymore these days. It is starting to wane in popularity due to their high service fees. This has made alternative channels like Payoneer more attractive to the people involved.

Only orderyouressay.com is still in the academic writing business as of today. Essaytoday has been converted into an RPG site, which is only slightly better than being a gambling site, while essaydune has packed up and has not even tried to resell the name. I guess the prior company could be considered somewhat reliable owing to how it is still in existence today. There must be a reason that students trust the company enough to keep it in business.

Seeing how AI always messes up the papers that students prompt the code to write, I wonder what will happen if the student reverses the process. Pay a human writer to write an "original" paper, then have AI rewrite and improve the paper. Perhaps it will do a much better job at generating the content for the paper that way? Is a rewritten paper done by AI considered plagiarized if it is based on an originally written paper?

While I have problems with this writing company's history and other concerns as it relates to their final product, That said, I applaud them for not taking the AI route as the other writing companies have taken. They still pride themselves on using 100% human writers, although I would not really rely on the quality of work their writers produce. It may however, still be better than what an AI can produce for a student.

Did you explain the situation in the same manner to the police when they checked on you? It would have been best for you to have done so since they are in the best position to help you catch whoever hacked into your account. They are your best bet when it comes to ending the harassment that you have been experiencing. It is important that you come clean with your teacher if you feel that the threat that the blackmailer will reach out to your teacher is real. Suffer the consequences in this case. You will have to be academically honest with your school since the police have gotten involved in the situation. Turnt he tables and use the police to yoru benefit. Catch the hacker and bring him to justice.

For the independent writers thinking of starting their own company, I strongly suggest that you rethink your intentions. The writing business is not the same as is used to be. Regardless of the writing experience, years in the business, and abilities of the writer, the clients simply are not there at this time. The students are somehow still of the belief that AI writing is better than a human writer. Then again, these are the students who are so automated, they don't even know how to think for themselves anymore. Opening a writing business these days no longer works for companies either. That is why they have developed their own AI writing codes for a fee, hopin gto cash in on the business.

I believe that custompapers has readily available discount codes on their website. It is a pop up window that you can close since that is just the fyi for the discount. You get another chance to grab the code once you place, but before you pay for your order. If you need more guidance, their chat room has readily available agents to help you source a new discount code for your paper. You might even be able to discuss a special rate with the agent, depending upon his authority to provide discounts in relation to inquiries. Talk to the agent to learn more about their discounts I guess. Since this is a reputable company, I believe their agents will not scam you in any way.

Essay Services / Do legit websites still exist? [35]

Legitimate websites still exist these days although they are struggling to stay afloat. The industry needs more students to come back to the fold and hire human writers so that these legitimate companies that employ highly skilled writers can continue to exist. I believe the comments in this thread already drive the point home regarding how to find legitimate websites. I have nothing more to add to that. The information is still valid.

Writing Careers / Best sites to sell example essays? [10]

Students no longer have a need to purchase sample essays. They already have AI to produce those sample papers for them. Whether the information is useful or not, they at least got their free sample paper. AI has done so much already in terms of disrupting our academic assistance business that I am beginning to wonder how much longer we humans will be able to keep this up. How soon before we throw in the towel and let AI take over, which seems to be what the students want?

Do not expect the writers from any writing company, not just CustomPapers, to use their real names in this line of work. They are often assigned names by the company on a monthly basis. That is to make it seem like they have more writers on staff than they actually do. The writers do not even know that the company is changing their name most of the time. They are told to leave the message for the client, but not sign a name to it. The office does its best to block any personal interaction with the writer so any traceable information is frowned upon.

General Talk / Online Classes Questions [10]

These days schools require 2 factor authentication from the students already when taking online classes. They also require that the cameras be on at all times. The systems have already been designed to track the IP address of the person logging in. If you are not in the location of the student, then you won't have any success logging in. You will either get a warning about your location or, the system will keep on saying your password is incorrect.

The rate of development in all fields makes it impossible to resell old papers these days. No student will be willing to pay for an irrelevant paper as a reference when he can get the same irrelevant response from an AI generated research paper. Keep your papers. It is not worth the printer in it took to make a hard copy anymore.

The bidding system is like playing Russian Roulette. You never know when you will be assigned a paper to work on. There is no set formula for winning a bid. It all depends upon how the client will perceive your credentials when reading your bid. Are your skills aligned with the required writing skill of the paper? How long have you been working with the company? What is your approval rating like? These are all high considerations for the students who want a writer that they believe can deliver the requirements they are paying for.

There are no legit essay writing websites. Regardless of whether they claim to be a registered business, it does not erase the fact that the academic institutes do not acknowledge their existence and they expel students who use such services. It is easy to register a business. A permit to operate will come out for sure. A piece of paper does not make the business legit though. This forum is replete with evidence of "legitimate" essay writing companies that actually turn out to be scams. It would be better to hire an independent writer instead. They tend to follow the law more than the essay writing companies.

I avoid writing STEM papers as if these subjects were carriers of the plague. I do not enjoy any writing that requires me to do computations or need to fulfill experiments just to complete the paper. I was never interested in STEM when I was in grade school which is why I avoided it as much as possible in high school, and took a college major that had the least possible math and science requirements as basic or common college classes. If you are not interested in the field, there is no way you will be able to perform well in that class.

With the current academic writing market the way it is, I can't help but wonder if you have had to lower your rates for your services? I agree that students should pay a premium for writers with the proper writing skills and experience, but it appears that the students are not willing to fork out that kind of money anymore. How have you had to adjust your business since the long dry spell for writers came into play?

I guess it is because of situations like this that FLW decided to create a website for himself, even though he is an independent writer and did not really need that extra expense. Having a website makes the independent writer appear to be more of a legitimate business person and allows the student to gain some searchable information on the writer before hiring his services. While his website is pretty basic, I guess it gets the job done and allows him to gain a highly professional look among the clients considering his service.
