While the website does look pristine and respectable because of the white background and carefully chosen words when discussing the service, there are several points that make me worry about this company being in the practice of "bait and switch" when assigning a writer to the project of a student. The fact that the student can choose between and ESL, ENL, and highest rated writer option means that the company controls the way that the work is assigned to the writers. There is a possibility that the company could misrepresent the abilities of their highest rated writer in this case. Another red flag for me is the number of writers that they have on staff. The writer number is too low for a respectable company. It is impossible for them to have 3 writer classifications when they have a limited number of writers to handle the influx of orders. Think about it. Review their claims. There is a problem with the way they claim to be a reputable company

Both urls are now unregistered. These are no longer existing as domain names and have not been out up for sale or auction. So I am guessing that the companies are officially closed. I guess that is best. China has some extreme education going on and they are really focusing their educational efforts on pushing AI use in early education. So I can understand why their human academic writing companies may have closed shop. There simply isn't a call for them anymore within the Chinese educational system these days.

Any seasoned human writer will be able to easily switch between UK and US English writing upon the request of a client. I once had a client who even requested that a mix of UK and US English be used in his paper because he was an American studying in the UK and he was on his 3rd year of study in the UK. So he had a hybrid sort of English represented the papers that he wrote. His professors found it pleasing to read so he kept it up and requested that I do the same.

Well, the domain name just recently went up for sale. As per the DopCatch.com listing date, this name went on the market just yesterday. It will be on the auction block for the next 3 days. So I guess GoDaddy divested itself of the name for some reason. There do not appear to be any interested parties at this point. There are no bids in the pipeline. I hope whoever decides to place a bid does his homework before making an offer on this name though. The prior image should always be the main consideration in these cases.

I find that WPS is the better alternative to GD. The free version works well enough and it actually allows you to save the document in .docx format, making it fully compatible with MS word. The whole WPS slew of software are actually Office compatible, even in free form. That is why I recommend that students use that app instead of GD. The GD forms are still highly confusing to use and are difficult to format in a manner that would be recognizable to MS Office.

I am not sure when this company finally closed shop but it eventually did. Right now, the domain has reverted to GoDaddy.com and is on the "auction" block. I am not sure if that means the domain will go to the highest bidder or what. I just know that it is currently for sale and it does not have any hope of being sold anytime soon. The company has too much of a negative reputation for the name to be seen in a good light should it be revived by the buyer.

Essay Services / PayMeToDoYourHomework.com [11]

There must be a secret to the longevity of this company. The fact that their clients have not been caught in massive cheating investigations puzzles me. I also think there has to be a flaw in the learning management system of the school, college, or university of these students since the company seems to easily get around their IP checker and other cheating blocks. The VPN this company is using cannot be that good. I would like to warn the students again, do not use a company to cheat the system. Take the test yourself. Do not risk your professional future by engaging in academic fraud. Once caught, not even a community college will take you in as a transfer student.

Since academic writing in the human form seems to be almost a thing of the past now, the essay writing websites and companies have lost significant value in the market. They could not sell the business for a profit these days even if they tried. So what the companies do is, they shut down the actual business but hold on to the domain name to sell. Most of them seem to have made a tidy profit from selling to online gambling sites. These are bought by companies that hope to get students to stay and spend a few bucks after accidentally stumbling onto the gambling site. As for giving back, these companies have been known to stiff their writers,so do not expect them to give back to the writers or students for any reason in any form.

Helium.com no longer exists in the form that we came to know as academic writers. They no longer sell papers to students since that market dried up long before Ai written papers became a thing. Apparently, the name was sold and now belongs to an app development company. It is no longer connected to the academic writing world.

They have updated their interface to make it look flashier and more 21st century friendly. They have however, shut down their hiring department for now. They claim that they have hired enough people from certain countries ( I had my international friends login to the site just to be sure), so they are not in the hiring process at the moment. It is funny how they have hired enough writers from all over the globe so they have more than enough writers on staff. I think the reality is that they are close to shutting down and are trying some last ditch efforts to save the company, short of launching their own writing AI app.

Okay. Writecheck by Turnitin was shut down officially in 2020. However, WriteCheck.org which is an AI trained by teachers to help students become better writers is what now uses that name. So the service provided has changed. It is no longer a plagiarism checking tool. It is now an AI powered writing editor for students. So let's not get confused by the name. The plagiarism checker is dead.

I find it difficult to believe that this company is still hiring writers at this point. The url that was provided leads directly to a writer recruitment and (then) application page. It seems like a pretty straightforward application process but does not speak of how the payments are to be collected from the company. I believe that any writer who would like to consider applying at this company should do some digging first. There isn't enough information out there to prove that this is a legitimate, rather than a scam company.

One of the advantages of hiring a human writer instead of relying on Ai to write your essay is that a human writer can vary his writing style, tone, and presentation. It can be tailored to the needs of the client in a way that reflects his own writing abilities. While AI can be prompted to write an essay, it cannot be prompted to write like a high school student, a college student, a masters student, or a PhD candidate. You will never have different writing styles coming out of an AI writer because there is no way to prompt the writing style in the program.

The company claims that they do not use AI generated essays. Let us clarify that point. The company does not use AI generated essays, but there is nothing that will prevent their writers from using AI to assist with their essay writing or having AI generate the full essay with some revisions done by the human. Just enough revisions to get beyond the company AI detecting tools. In these cases, it would be better for you to seek a human independent writer instead of going with a company that outsources your essays. A human being who is working for himself will not jeopardize his work by using AI because he wants repeat business from the client. I cannot say the same for the company affiliated writers who are chasing a quota in order to meet the minimum payout requirements of the company, which, as far as I have been told, is starting to border on unreasonable values in relation to payouts these days.

The owners of this domain name have tried everything to keep their business active in the academic field. Right now, they have this url redirecting to an AI academic app supposedly on the Apple Playstore. I would not click on any links in that site though. Something about it reeks of trouble. Just be thankful that they cannot seem to produce any actual academic help for students. It will be in the best interest of all the students to stay far away from this site and whatever service they are pretending to offer as of now. You are better off using the free AI from reputable companies like Google and ChatGPT for that purpose.

Well, the blog site was active as of 2009. It appears that the writers attached to the blog did not succeed in marketing their writing skills in the way that they thought they could. While India may be one of the BPO capitals of the world, I do not believe that it is one of the places where academic writers of a high caliber could have been produced. That is because historically, their academic writers do not come from the high education sector of their society. They instead come from the lower educational ranks where they barely learned to read and write in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telegu, or whatever their regional language is. While they may write well in their native languages, their lack of proper exposure to English work is what held them back from becoming good essay writers.

It seems that the essay progressive delivery program did not catch on in the way that the writers thought it would. It is always best to deliver the completed paper to the client and then edit as necessary, depending upon the client feedback. Using a progressive system would have kept the paper in drafting hell for longer than it would have actually taken to revise a fully completed paper. I did not hear of my fellow writers using this system when I was an active writer and I do not believe that the reputable writers would have actually participated in such a program. This is the sort of program that could have been used to train the 3rd world writers back when the academic writing business was still in hot demand.

These days, writers who are still actively attached to writing companies no longer mind if they earn nickels and dimes or pennies on a page. What is important to them is that they are still getting regular work from the writing companies. That is not the case for independent writers who have to source their clients on their own and apply for the writing job, if it is possible to get hired. Yes, the companies still continue to leech their writers but, all things considered, it is still better to have a partner out there looking for clients for you, than having to do it yourself. So consider the leeching their finders fee instead and you won't be so irritated about it anymore.

While freelance writers used to work upwards of 40 hours a week when the work was in high demand, these days, they will be lucky to spend 20 hours in a week working on the job. It will all depend upon the influx of orders and the number of pages that they are required to write. It is still an easy job to have since the writers can still dictate their working hours. Normally though, it no longer takes more than 8 hours in a day for them to complete a workload, if they have any.

It is the job of the writer to keep track of his income and deduct his taxes from it as the law provides in his home country. The writing company should not withhold tax for the writer for any reason since they are not covered by the tax laws of the writer's country. There are usually tax brackets that the income falls into. Some writers pay taxes because they earn that much, others, do not. It all depends upon how your income is during the year. These days, the writers are not paying taxes from their line of work since they are barely making ends meet at this point.

The company is currently listed as "Under maintenance and will be back soon". I sincerely doubt that they will be back at all. They did not treat their writers properly and more than likely shut down the company, while still owing the writers back pay. Hence they are pretending to be under maintenance so that the writers will hold on to false hopes that they will still get the money owed to them. As of now, they no longer need the services of their writers at all. They are not even in the business anymore.

This is not the climate to start an independent writing career in. At least not in the academic writing industry. It has recently come to my attention that there is still a niche for independent writers, it just isn't in the academic field anymore. There is a rising need for social media content writers and copywriters. There are also writers who are learning a new skill in relation to AI. All of these require the skills of a well versed and experienced writer. Those with experience in the academic writing industry have an edge over the ordinary writer applicants because of the heavy research background of the academic writing jobs.

Well, if you are looking to be hired as an academic writer in this business age, then you will not find a company willing to hire you anymoire. Not in the academic writing realm at least. However, if you are a legitimate writer, with proper English writing skills and can produce content that is usable in the legitimate business world, then you can try to apply at companies that are listed at Intch and Linkedin. There are companies that still require writers for social media content so you might get lucky and be hired by a legitimate company or contractor there.

The deceptions that the bad actor writing companies were allowed to propagate during the later part of the 20th century and early half of the 21st century proved to be their undoing. Nobody could have predicted that technology would have pushed them out of their comfort zone and become the protection that the students needed from these con artists. They are the reason that the industry is now struggling to stay afloat, and why their businesses have gone down the drain as well.

General Talk / Custom Essay Vs Good Writer? [10]

The custom essay is always your best bet, if done in the manner that the OP explained. This applies to both hired writers and AI generated content. The important thing is to have you reflect your own thoughts and personality in the paper to eliminate any clues that you had writing help. Both custom and independent writers have their good and bad points, It is all up to the student to eliminate the problems points and personalize the paper with or without the assistance of a writing guide, human or AI.

Writing Careers / how to get clients for essays [24]

It has become extremely difficult for independent writers and writing companies to recruit clients for their writing businesses these days. While networking still works to a certain extent, the rise of automatic writing tools have made potential clients disinterested in hiring a human writer. LinkedIn is a good way of networking for writers but it does not extend to being found by students looking for an academic writer. I have seen some writers using the site to find clients, but I have been told that they have not succeeded in contacting new clients.

The rule about the transfer of rights for the paper stands when you are dealing with an essay writing company or an individual writer. This does not apply when you are using an AI to write the paper. There is no clear demarcation when it comes to paper ownership in this case. Since the paper was automatically generated, does it belong to Google or ChatGPT? I think that is something these AI companies should clarify for the benefit of the students using their services.

It is always best to simply rewrite the custom essay that you receive. That is regardless of whether it was AI generated or written by a human being. The best way to avoid any academic integrity charges is always to write the paper in your own words, in your own voice, using your own writing style. You cannot go wrong when you personalize the paper. This totally eliminates any suspicious content. Just make sure to still use the correct sources in your paper. That way you still get what you paid for.

I have heard good news about college students using AI to take notes in class and help them with their test reviews and other student tasks. While they still bring their laptops and tablets to class, they mostly rely on AI dictation services to take class notes for them already. They read the lectures in auto flash card form to help them read the summarized form of their lessons. Then, the exam prep work are done by the AI to help them prepare for quizzes. Responsible students use these to their advantage. However, I still advise them to use human beings when considering their writing tasks because AI has not reached the human level of academic writing yet.

The writers that still manage to work for essay writing companies have found their CPP cut by more than half these days. The companies that are still afloat have somehow managed to keep their writers paid, while still keeping the lion's share of the profits. That may not last much longer though as AI continues to become a formidable challenge for their companies. The sad part, is that they still continue to run an unethical business, even as they struggle to keep the business open. I believe that they are managing to stay open because they have stopped hiring writing writers and, they have been expiring less than stellar writer's accounts.

This is one of the major reasons why students must vet their writers very well. You cannot trust the hiring system of a company because there is never any complete information available about the company on any website. Sure you can look up reviews of the company over here, but if there are no complaints filed here, then you are out of luck. You might hire a con artist because you think that the company is on the level. be careful. Hire someone only after spending a few negotiation sessions with them. Make sure the writer is legitimate.

While Craigslist still exists as a website, I would not consider it a reliable source of writers or clients for writers. There are still too many gray areas when it comes to their job postings and qualifications for anyone to consider this a reliable website or source of services. The UI has not even been updated to a more modern vibe. I really do not understand why people would still go to that site to look for services unless they plan on running a con on the person that is hired or if the person hired plans to do something negative to the client. It isn't a service I would recommend as a hiring site for a writer or any sort of employment.

I see nothing wrong with providing a redacted writing sample to a student / potential client who asks for it. Seasoned writers should have a library of their previous work collected so that when a student asks to see his sample work on a particular topic, he should have no problem providing a few pages of it. That is one of the good ways to combat the rise of AI as an academic writer. That is the best way to prove to the student that the human writer will be able to do a better job than the AI his peer recommended that he use.

If one does a comparison of the DND list with the remaining academic writing companies, one will be able to deduce for himself which ones were actulaly scams, and which ones were just dealt a bad review by students for their bad start as a company. Those that managed to redeem themselves are managing to stay in the business somehow. They continue to provide a useful service to students who are looking for human writers. I believe that the time has come for the mods of this forum to actually update their DND list because a majority of those have already gone out of business.

It looks like AI writing is going to finish the job that the pandemic started. There are already about 100 faux academic writing companies that have gone under since AI took academic writing by storm.

It sounds to me like the OP accepted a bid from the server. He took the order knowing very well what rates were involved regarding his payout. He should not complain. He had the choice of accepting the order or not accepting it. I believe the writer is from a 3rd world nation and he accepted the rate based on the exchange rate of his currency v. the US dollar. It looked like a good conversion, so he chose to accept that bid. He cannot blame the company for that. Nor can he blame the company for keeping most of the profits since they are running a business.

Kenyan writers were turned down by essay writing companies for the simple reason that they are not good workers. They are used to playing the con game, which does not get you far in the academic writing business. These days, they are turned down not only because of their worth ethic, but because the companies have stopped hiring writers and are trying to figure out how to keep their business afloat as the writing tasks move faster and faster towards AI output for the students. This puts the Kenyans in an even worse place because they cannot compete with AI, unlike some better skilled human writers.

There are some 3rd world writers who actually charge 5 cents per word these days. That is what they believe is the cost that will help them get hired for the job. Yet, some students still find that rate too steep, even though they are ESL students looking for a writer. They would rather risk having an empty research paper or opinion paper written by AI. These are the students who do not care about their grades, they are just focused on meeting class requirements. Decent writers still charge at least $5 a page from what I have heard. Some, prefer to negotiate with the students that still come to them for inquiries.

The competition is no longer between independent or freelance writers and writing companies. These days independent writers have to do battle with the AI writing apps that students have come so heavily to rely upon. You have to understand that the world of freelance writing is no longer the same. Since AI took the academic world by story, the writing companies have had to bow out of the competition by developing their own apps and selling those to students. The writing companies have tried to edge out the writers from the field, but some of them still manage to survive, and are doing their best to beat the AI competition. It is still better to work with a human writer in this case because the writing companies that developed their own apps did not do a very good job at training their AI model in the writing and research aspects.
