The OP does sound like he is a paid hack rather than a writing seeking equal employment benefits. The fact that he has specific companies to mention tells me that he works for those companies either in their marketing department, or, he was an outsourced promotional writer. Either way, nobody should take his recommendations seriously. I have often found that these writing companies do not treat their writers equally. These companies are all non US or UK based so don't believe that they will pay the writers well or even on time. If you do, then you are a sucker for punishment and deserve the con that will be coming your way.

I agree that his post is a mere work around on the promotion or endorsement ban on non-vetted companies. Why the admin let it stay this long on the forum is even a bigger question that I may just ask them about in the future during one of our friendly get togethers. I am all for protecting the students that come here to look for writers or writing companies and this post, definitely reeks of a veiled scam.

Let's put it this way, there is a reason that the writing companies have that disclaimer and it all has to do with the plagiarism checkers floating around the web. While these companies claim to use independent plagiarism checking services / software when they run a plagiarism report for the student, the company isn't really sure that the software used did not somehow store the paper in the server as part of its database. Therefore, if the professor runs a plagiarism check, the paper just might turn up and get flagged. This is the main reason why, even though the paper written is original, the company would rather that the student not submit the original paper for a grade. In fact, the student merely has to rephrase the full paper that was submitted to them by the writer in order to avoid any plagiarism possibilities. The exclusive content assignment is indicated in the TOS and is honored by the company and the writer. If the professor finds out, then that is a different case. There is no way to prove that you own the rights because you will be in even bigger trouble if you admit that you had someone write the paper for you. You will then be accused of contract cheating and will be in deep academic trouble.

Just like all the other scams in this world, the flashier the website, the fancier the name, the more foreign the location, the more people are prone to believe that the company is "big" and "reliable". On the contrary, when I see a website that tries to make a good first impression via pomp and pageantry, the more I tend to distrust the company. Why? Simply because the company is not trying to sell me on the service they are offering, they are trying to sell me on the image of their company. Which, in book, amounts to nothing because they have yet to actually prove to me that they can deliver and are actually capable of fulfilling their quality claims. So yes, in my opinion, there is a direct relationship between the way a website looks and the quality of work it delivers. The better looking the site, the more I am convinced I should not trust their services.

@sarahconnors A simple Google search of IP lookup of the domain name can help you learn where the website is located. However, knowing where the server is located is not the same as having evidence that the company is truly a legitimate and registered US or UK based company. The most that the IP lookup will tell you is the location of the server. These days, nobody can trust the information that a company swears by online, nor should the student trust an IP lookup to represent the actual business location of the company. If you feel like the company may not be on the level, then trust your gut feeling and do not proceed with your transaction.

I hope that you are not just going to rely on the IP address lookup for the validity of your company choice. That is the worst way to do it by. I doubt that you have the time to check for the company business registration on your own either as that will cost you money to do accurately. Err on the side of caution, don't trust any company claims based on reviews or published location details.

From my observations, a good essay writing that treats it writers fairly takes their writer's health into consideration. That means, they do not make the writers work almost on a 24/7 basis with almost no time to rest or sleep. I have seen my friends fall ill working for these unreasonable essay writing companies that seem to think their writers are automatons that require no rest. That is the best way to lose your writers.

Pay out on a 50/50 pricing scheme for the cost per page. While the company does handle the backroom dealings and client negotiations, the writer does the heavy lifting and deserves at least equal pay for the work that is done. Revisions go to them, not the company so they should be properly compensated for their troubles.

Ensure that the writers are not unfairly fined for their work. The fining system is just another way for the company to keep more cash for themselves and pay the writer a pittance for his work. The company can afford to revise the papers without fining the writers, they only pay the writers about 30% at the most for the actual cost of the job so be fair. The company loses nothing and their QAD is a big joke or in most instances a department of liars who rely on software programs they don't even understand to do their proofreading jobs. Don't unreasonably use Copyscape on your writers.

Just as an update for this post, the writing companies are no longer limited to academic writing. They also dabble in hired blogging, paid company reviews, advertising copy, and any other sort of paper that can be imagined. If you want a paper written, regardless of the type, the writing company will be able to assign a writer to your job. However, that is not an assurance that you will get a high quality writer to complete your task.

Independent writers proliferate the internet more than the writing companies these days. These are the writers who have wised up and learned how to get ahead in the writing game by eliminating the middle man. They too can offer to write any sort of writing task a client may require. From academic to professional writing, an independent writer exists to deliver the service that you require. Just contact them directly through any hiring platforms in order to receive the kind of service that a writing company won't be able to deliver to you.

As an active academic writer, I often had first time clients coming to me with large page number orders. The reason I was able to avoid these chargeback claims was simple. I implemented a policy of "First time large orders need to come with a reference from an already existing client of my company". As such, I only worked with students whose identity and payment systems could be vouched for by their friends and classmates. After all, they would not allow their favorite writer to get scammed by their referral, that would blacklist them with me as well and they knew well enough to avoid such situations.

It sucks that we always hear about how students were scammed by writers when in reality, the writers are more often scammed by the students. Yet we do very little to get back at them and often, just chalk it up to experience.

General Talk / Do "real" writing sites exist? [21]

Real writing sites do exist. I say this for anyone who is on the lookout for a writing company at the moment and happens to have come across this thread. However, finding the "real" writing sites can be a problem for students who have to rely on the blurbs of writing websites when deciding which one to hire. Normally, the one with the best written copy wins the bid.

I would like to point out though that since you are already at this website / forum, then you don't need to look to those academic writing websites for your writing needs. the best in he business and the most reliable companies have been vetted by the powers that be at this forum and they have come up with the official listing of their recommended "real" writing sites above. See the banner? Click on any of the links to writing companies or writers in that section and you will be assured of hiring a real company or a real writer who can satisfy your writing needs. I have this on good authority which is based on insider information.

The need for a legitimate writing service means that a student should disregard the use of a writing company. Seeking the help of a writing company normally entails several risk factors specially in the originality of content and non-plagiarized content section. It would be better for any student who wants to hedge his bets and get a truly original paper that can be used risk free, to hire an independent writer instead. By hiring an independent writer, the middle man is cut out, the student can properly explain the specifics of the paper to the writer who in turn can explain what can and can't be done in terms of the student requirements. The student will also be paying a lower rate per page as the middle man is eliminated thus the commission is negated as well for the writing company. Most writers to be found at this forum have proven themselves to be legitimate so I believe any student would do well to simply hire one of the registered writers from this forum. Count me out though. I left the writing business ages ago.

Students use the page count thing in order to get a lower cost for their order. These companies charge so much for each specific type of paper order that students play the system by asking the writer to complete one thing and then, when the writer is assigned, they switch the instructions, hoping to get billed at the lower rate per page. Which normally works as the writer will be told by the company that an adjustment of so and so can be made upon approval of the client, who then approves it, shortchanging the writer in the process. It is a new type of student bait and switch and it only happens to the new writers who are still experiencing the growing pains of being a company affiliated writer. My friends went through this regularly when they were just starting out. I was spared such problems since I never worked with an affiliate company in all my professional life. That's why I could easily tell the student the find another writer rather than haggling for the content and final price. I spot the problem and simply refuse to get involved.

Believe it or not, you have to be careful about these online writing companies that ask you to apply online and/or attach your resume to your application. Once you do that and you don't hear from them again, you most likely applied for a job at a scam company. The real purpose for the existence of the website is to entice innocent people searching for an online job to submit their personal data. Consider it a form of data gathering with the full consent of the person. You were after all applying for a job with them and your application cannot be processed without these information.

You should have investigated the reputation of this company before undertaking any application process with them. You can never be too sure these days when it comes to identity theft. These jerks are getting more creative by the day in terms of getting people to willingly surrender their data in the hopes of receiving something positive in exchange for it.

Regardless of the Lanham Act, the fact remains that the writing companies online still continue to hire other writes to write glowing reviews of their sites for various rating websites or even their own "testimonials" page. It is extremely difficult to prove that they paid for these services though as they pass the project through other channels or sister writing companies in order to get around the law. I used to be one of the writers who got paid to write glowing reviews for these sites posing as a "highly satisfied and returning client". I did not mind doing so as I considered it merely a paid writing gig.

Now I am wondering as to why nobody has bothered to bring these companies up on charges based on the law. Is it because it is hard to prove? Nobody cares? Or this is one case where the law exists but because people need to get something done, they opt to overlook the law and just hope to never get caught? Never mind that the company is actually located in India, which probably places the company outside of the U.S. jurisdiction in terms of laws as the crime needs to have been committed in the US in order to be accepted by a US based court. Just having a US based server or IP address , but no US business registration is probably what helps them circumvent the law.

The editing an proof reading part of this job composes the tiniest fraction of the actual student clientele. Majority of the work relates to writing an original research paper from scratch, based on the given instructions of the student. While the OP is correct in assuming that the job is supposed to be just about polishing and editing, it somehow evolved into actual research work from scratch because it was much simpler to just write a new paper than try to correct the mistakes of the existing paper. There are just times when that simply cannot be done.

The writing industry has evolved from editing and polishing. These days, writers also do more than just academic writing. Which is why the freelance writers manage to keep themselves employed even when the students are out of school. It is for the non-academic writing jobs that writers often get hired to do the polishing and editing of a paper. These professional papers don't normally require the writer to write the paper from the beginning unless otherwise requested to do so. In which case, the companies are willing to pay a premium price to the writer involved in the project.

General Talk / Backend/interface for writers [28]

Writer InterfaceThe most common interfaces that I have seen in my capacity as a website reviewer are those that have bidding systems involved.

The system doesn't actually ask for a bid in the sense of the word but rather, it asks for justifications regarding the ability of a writer to complete a project. It turns out to be more of a job interview instead of an actual bid.

I would like to see this system changed.

I believe that the proper writer interface should allow the writer to get to know more about the student in as much as the student gets to know about the writer. In other words, if the writer is asked to submit a short resume for the student to read, then the writer should have the ability to assess the intellectual capacity of the student as well.

This would help the writer determine the correct writing level to use in his writing of the paper and also, gives the writer an opportunity to base his "bid" on the potential difficulties the student might pose as a client after the writing process is completed since that is when most of the editing and revising problems take place.

I just came across this post today and felt that I had to say something on behalf of a company whose writers, owners, and staff are highly friendly with me. Although I do not work for the company, they have become a part of my dependable professional network. Always there to lend a hand when necessary. All one has to do is ask. Their writers are not ESL. Their writers are also America based. A student will never get hoodwinked by this company. They definitely do not lie about their company location and their writers. They do not engage in bait and switch.

The company and its writers represent one of the most reliable academic outsourcing companies in the business. They always deliver as promised and make sure that they come up with a solution to the problem even as the client is being informed about it. They are easy to talk to and will always have the client's back when it comes to deadline issues. Their papers are above par and no student should have any problem with the papers delivered unless that student never gave the correct instructions to begin with. That is what they showed in both instances that were posted here by the OP and another poster. I can attest to that.

You are sunk buddy. First of all, how did you get into an American or UK university without having any English comprehension skills? That email is so self explanatory even an imbecile can understand it. Next, why didn't you read the fine print of the contract before signing up? Some students truly take the cake, you are one of them. Since the company has a no-refund policy, then that email means just that. You are not going to get your money back. You will never see that money again. I bet that you never did right?

Anyway, this is the perfect example of a student who did not vet the writing company before hiring the services. There should have been an explanation given to the student regarding the refund policy either within the sign-up sheet, the FAQ of the website, or during the chat with the company representative. It should have occurred to the student to ask that question because that relates to the cost of the paper in the end. Having a no-refund policy for shabby work is dubious. Companies that are on the level always have a tiered refund policy in place. Individual writers may or may not have a refund policy. So always ask about it before agreeing to hire the service.

Writing Careers / SWREG (payment processor) sucks! [28]

SWReg is merely a conduit for the payment from the bank of your employer, who doesn't have a Paypal account, to your Paypal account. SWReg has nothing to do with the amount of money that has to be transferred. They cannot transfer money to anybody's account if the account of the sender is unfunded. It is the sender who will fill out the paperwork for the money transfer through SWReg. Not receiving the money means that the company, not the conduit service, is the one that has the problem.

SWReg will only be able to send Paypal a payment notification once the company sends them the money. All SWReg will do is transfer the same to you through their Paypal channel. I hope this explains how the payment processing works for writers. It is not the payment processing company that is to blame. It is always the company and its accounting department that fails to pay the writers.

Writing Service LocationThe IP location of a company does not necessarily reflect the actual location of the company one plans on dealing with.

The IP location only indicates that the company server may be found in that country. However, all the other information such as the physical address of the company could be fictitious. Bought off the internet for a few hundred dollars. The location could, in some instances be in the middle of some lake or lead to a swing in the middle of a children's park.

There is no definite, reliable, and accurate way of determining the physical location of a company based simply on the IP address. Except of course, if you actually go and try to find out where the address is located. In which case you are in for a big expense and an even bigger response.

You could end up in the middle of the Everglades in Florida based on the information attached to a given IP address regarding its actual location.

A good way is also to reread what was written.

That's true. Editing is the only way to perfect an essay or research paper. As one reviews the written work, it gets revised in presentation or additional content is included and that is just coming from the writer's review of the work. Taking note of the perceived errors by the editing software or word document also helps clean up the work tremendously. These programs sometimes give more than just spelling correction advice. It also gives suggestions regarding better sentence structures and presentations.

I have found that as a writer, once I take the time to truly edit the paper I have been hired to write, I need at least a whole day to constantly review my work because I always get some new inspiration to improve a presentation or even have a pocket of time to add more research to the document. Those last minute touches always help to limit my issues with my clients.

I get it. You are practicing / mastering the use of the written English language by participating at this forum. That's one of the best ways to do that you know. I applaud you for your commitment to learning the language on all fronts and using all free available tools to help you achieve that goal. I am not confused anymore. I admire that you once wanted to become a writer. What kind of writer did you want to be? A novelist? An academic writer? A journalist? What changed your mind about becoming one? I am glad that you found your happy place to work. That is something everyone must strive to achieve. Yes, people do like different things and do things even more differently. I apologize if I offended you in some way. It is just that your profile had a tendency to make me wonder about your background. I guess I was a bit rough in the way I asked about it.

@naomiking which one is it? Are you a student or a working professional? I am not sure what you are doing here at this point. Your posts tend to confuse me because you don't seem to have a solid direction when you are posting. You are neither a student nor a professional writer so I guess you are someone just practicing how to write in English then?

Can you further explain what you were doing when you were working at home? Were you an academic writer at the time? Why did you say that the work you did from home isn't for you? Very few people can actually say that and actually mean it because of all the benefits that working from home provides. What is so special about office work as far as you are concerned? Perhaps having a regular pay schedule and fixed amount of pay is what drove you to seek regular employment?

@naomiking what were the instructions you were given for the writing of the paper? Granted that you were allowed to use a first person Point of view, were you asked to write is as a comparison analysis or a single opinion paper? Perhaps you were asked to write it from the point of view of the professor and you wrote it from an opposing angle? It is impossible that a professor would fail your paper just because you had an opposing point of view.

The purpose of a college paper is to call to mind your critical thinking and sense of debate regarding political issues, unless otherwise specified. I think you misread the instructions and did not deliver the essay based on the requirements of the professor. That is the only reason why those who agree with him would pass and those who opposed would have failed such an assignment. Unless you can share the actual assignment instructions with us, it is hard to judge if yours was a simple case of misunderstanding or if your professor was really "out to get those who opposed him."

An efficient academic writer with ample years / decades of experience will be able to churn out paper after paper within a day without having to sacrifice quality. It is almost like the writer is a printing press. He can churn out a hundred or more papers a day if required, based on various topics. These are the writers who do not need to push themselves in order to complete the work because they are already seasoned writers who are familiar with various writing topics, have several up to date resources constantly at their fingertips, and can easily estimate how long it will take to complete one paper.

Sometimes, when I want to take a few days off and I have prior work commitments, I find that wanting to rest becomes a very good motivating factor that pushes me to work faster. Writers always need time off and having a lull in between deadlines just isn't enough for me. Specially if I came from a grueling work schedule of having to complete 100 writing assignments in various fields, forms, and professions during a work week. My quality never suffers like I said because I am just so used to writing these things that I writing has become second nature to me.

My eyes watered as I read that post. I believe that this writer definitely needs writing help if he has any chance of succeeding in this business. The first thing I would advice him to do is enroll in English language classes and never stop learning the language. Forget what his original language is and fully immerse himself in the world of English regardless of whether it is British or American, as long as it's in English. One cannot learn how to become a competent English writer. One has to develop the skills in that area, specially if one is not a native English speaker.

If a person is not born into the language, if he speaks a different dialect at home and then English when he is school, then he will struggle to learn the language in both spoken and written form. The OP is solid proof of that.

I've heard of a few Chinese writing companies. I have had one or two friends of mine end up working for them. It appears that these companies are for the use of Chinese students only so a knowledge of at least basic Chinese (Mandarin, Fookien, Cantonese, etc.) will be of a big help to the writer. That is because the Chinese companies are actually considered a legal business. The Chinese students studying in English speaking countries are encouraged to hire writers to help them with their papers so that they can perform at their academic best and bring honor and joy to their family and country.

I think that is misplaced patriotism and love of family but, if the Western world actually viewed our line of work with such legal considerations and a recognition of the hard work that we do to help the students graduate, then I would be proud to be working for a Chinese writing company. Provided they pay me in full and on schedule of course.

They can't say that one is worse than the other because basically, if you have to hire either one, you are not really left with a choice. Yep, I'm talking from the frying pan into the fire here. I just have to choose who is the worst between the two and list that one as the fire.

Anyway, I hope that nobody took this post seriously. It was really laughable to me as I believe the poster comes to us directly from one of the two countries. Which means, he was trying to start a competition between the two in the hopes of snagging clients. Which I believe never happened.

Essay Services / Academic Paper Files [10]

Well, I believe that when you post something like the OP did in the forum thread for Essay Services, then you can expect to see advertising there once in a while. Luckily, he wasn't blatant about it and he only made it appear like he was introducing himself to the forum public. Nothing wrong with that. Can't blame him for trying. After all, at the time of his post his business was just getting on its feet and barely walking.

These days the page is no longer available on FB so I guess the business did not do well enough for him. I find that sad. Not all of the freelancers out there manage to stay afloat the way we do. Its either they don't really know how to write and tried to do it anyway or, they just got caught up in the whole chargeback thing until they lost their capital on the business. Your summer and holiday strategies need to include some other form of freelance writing such as blogging, paid reviews, and other similar sorts of writing jobs. I tend not to rely on academic writing during the summer and holiday season because there aren't enough students enrolled during those months anyway. If I take a wait and see attitude when it comes to that, it would mean having to touch my savings account to stay afloat. Which is something I would rather not do.

I found that the majority of my income during these slow periods come from other sources, not the academic avenue. Most likely because the students don't get much homework during that season as the teachers would also rather have a light workload for the duration of the summer or holiday seasons. So my blogging and professional writing services are what I fall back on during those seasons.

Their writers always deliver value for money and the company has a word of honor when it comes to handling their business dealings with anyone, not just clients. I would definitely suggest that the OP consider hiring their services.

I believe that the person the client was talking to believed he was getting testy because he was asking questions that sounded more like he was getting ready to run a scam of "pay for the paper now, charge it back later. I get a free paper." which is why he felt like the operator was not being helpful or considerate. It all always boils down to a miscommunication caused by a native English speaker talking to a non-native English speaker. All hell tends to ensue in such instances.

some clients with large projects do not realize that future tweaks are part of the process.

I was wondering, do you charge for the extra tweaks or do you incorporate that into your final costing as submitted to the client. I find that when I have large paper projects, I often have to tweak the final costing as the client either adds more work, requests for revisions that were not part of the original deal , or just asks that I lessen the pages. In which case I refuse to lower the price as I explain that the cost can be used to pay for future requests and revisions. Have you ever found yourself in a similar situation?

As you mentioned, the students often don't realize that they have to pay extra for unagreed upon or additional requests that further make the paper more difficult to complete or require a changed deadline. While they do get cross, a proper explanation always has them thanking me for accommodating them. I hope it is the same case for you?

Funny as it may seem, I started academic writing while I was still in college. I had a knack for essay writing and my professors often commended my writing style and dedication to research regardless of whether the paper was for my major or minor course. Then one semester, I had a dorm mate who was really struggling in his English classes since he was an ESL student who was still taking Remedial English. He asked me to help him out with his papers. I jokingly asked him what it was worth to him and he asked me to name my price. Thinking about it, I gave him a price I knew was a joke and all he said was "Done!". That got me started as the "in-house" academic writer of my dorm house. Things grew and grew from there so that even after I had left college and starting working formally, I still had schoolmates emailing me asking me to help them out. Who was I to say no? Eventually, I found myself taking more and more time off from work until eventually, I managed to quit my job and do academic writing fulltime. So basically, I never evolved because that is where I started. I evolved into other writing venues from there.

The OP didn't legally purchase the paper. He stole from the writer.

I don't doubt that the OP hoodwinked the writer, who was probably a newbie and starting out on his own so he was trusting of the client, into submitting the total paper to him. The OP then used the paper to get a grade. Technically, the paper was not his to turn in for a grade but by submitting the completed paper, the writer turned over the rights to it to the client. Can't blame the OP for doing so, he wanted the grade that bad.

I think the writer was trying to run a blackmail scam by the OP for not paying him. I don't think the scam worked though. The whole situation appears to me as 2 newbies caught in a scam than neither of them thought out before actually implementing so what resulted was two losers with no winner in sight.

Students buy papers from essay writing companies for the same reason that they eat at a fast food, they need service but don't have the time to do it themselves. They can't be blamed for wanting to complete their class requirements through the "help" of a writer. Whatever their reason for requiring the help of a writing service, nobody has the right to judge them. I mean, what if you found yourself in their situation? Wouldn't you want help even if you had to pay for it?

Granted that they often times end up hiring some sleazy questionable company in the process, it isn't as if they came into the situation asking to be scammed. Some people just don't know better and are easily trapped into situations due to desperation. What we should be asking is, why don't students look for reputable writing companies knowing the risks involved in hiring an online writer instead? They know the risks but they still aren't careful when choosing a company. For that, they only have themselves to blame.

The OP understands perfectly well where his problems stemmed from. He chose the cheapest contract that the writing company offered and then gave them too much time with which to complete his paper. Not only that but I do not doubt that he neglected to investigate the company before he signed up for the service. That means, he started off on the wrong foot with the company from the very start. That is why he ended up with all these problems.

Don't get me wrong though, I have had students come to me and say that they paid such and such company the amount of whatever because that was the highest rate for a writer's payment they could find. They hoped that by paying a premium, they would get a good writer. It broke my heart to tell these students that they would not have gotten a good writer even if they paid the lowest amount because the company was not trustworthy and did not have capable writers in their roster to begin with.

Writing Careers / Please pay your writers! =( [31]

As far as I know writing companies hold a writer's salary for 2 weeks before paying out. They claim that this is to protect the company and the writer from possible chargeback claims. I never understood that concept and neither did my friends since the client already got the completed paper, regardless of the charge claims. I told them that the company most likely did this to allow themselves time to find some flaw in their work that they could be dinged for.

Find a big enough problem and the company won't have to pay you. They'll just turn around and claim the student filed a dispute and it is under "investigation" by their QAD. By the end of the week, the poor writer will have lost the pay for the paper he worked on.

There is absolutely no way a writing company can be convinced to treat their writers fairly and pay them what is due because that is not what they are in the business for. They are in it to make money and if it means conning the slave writers as well then so be it.

It isn't difficult for a competent writer to find online writing jobs. What is difficult, is building up enough of a rapport with several clients who can help the writer either have a solid stream of writing jobs come in as a "requested" or "in demand" writer at an academic writing company or, as an independent writer, help him via word of mouth promotion so that he can build his client base. The main requirement for online writing success whether it be academic or profession based is writing competency. Business and public relations are a second requirement.

I find though that the PR part of online writing jobs may be even more important that the writing competence part. I say this because, from my experience, most of the client deadline and instruction changes, or even deadline changes coming from either side can be easily discussed / worked out if the client and the writer develop both a professional and friendly relationship. Once that type of relationship has been established, it doesn't become difficult for any writer to find online writing jobs.

Nah. He probably folded shop and went back to work for some crappy, less than stellar image writing company. I mean, there is no way that he can keep going for 2 years without making any income. Unless he comes from a rich family and working as an academic writer is just a hobby for him. I suspect he has found some other source of income. Maybe he joined Craigslist or LinkedIn. Perhaps he is one of those questionable personalities available for contractual writing work over at UpWork. Whatever it is he is doing now, you can bet he isn't proud to discuss it because he let this thread flatline. Too bad. if he only kept on posting, he may have come across some students who would be willing to hire him. Or maybe not. The point is, when you are a member of ES as a writer, you have a pretty good chance of snagging a client. You just need to be patient about it.

Contrary to some students perception, professors do not have the time to scour the internet for possible plagiarism in the work of their students. That is why they use a software for that. Using essay services cannot be considered plagiarism because the papers developed for the students are original in terms of content and presentation. It is not a piece of work that comes from previously published work. It is not plagiarism when you hire someone to write the essay for you. Provided the paper that results is of original content. Professors can't even tell the difference between a student's original work and a paid for paper. That is, provided the paper is done correctly and not atrociously as some 3rd rate writers from questionable companies are prone to do. Don't worry about it. Plagiarism is a totally different case from having a paper originally written for you.

Writing Careers / Duenow.com don't pay their writers [18]

I think that when a thread like this dies a natural death, it is because the writers decided to simply cut their loses and move on to their next writing company. There is no sense in trying to squeeze water from a rock. Rather than making themselves even more pitiful and, in order to move on from this horrific experience, they often just let the thread go and hope they have better luck with the next company or, in some cases, when they strike out on their own.

It is important to keep threads like these alive though. There are many lessons to be learned from the misfortune of others. By calling attention to what happened to these writers, others will learn to look out for early warning signs or, if they are associated with the company, they have a chance to get out before the same thing happens to them.

The problem with the monthly payers is that they often hold on to the salary for about 2 weeks, which is why you work for free during this time. Their reason? Just in case a chargeback or dispute is opened by the client due to sloppy work. Like I told my friends who were employed by these companies, they should recognize a company that is using their own earnings against them. More than half the time, it is not the client who complains about the quality of the work. As per their experience, it is normally the QAD that complains and applies the appropriate deduction to the salary. That is why these companies pay out slowly. They want to make sure they exhaust every angle to penalize the writers regardless of whether or not the penalties being applied are based on truth. That's why I also told them to look for companies that pay their writers immediately after the work is completed, I know of at least 5 companies still engaged in this practice and their writers are very happy with the payment arrangement. Oh, the company doesn't penalize the writers either. They don't offer free revisions so there is no need for writer penalties.
