Affiliate programs run by academic writing companies are a huge red flag. This type of business practice is frowned upon because it requires students to become recruiters for the writing company. All in the hopes of making a little cash on the side. Newsflash! They never pay up. They just use the unsuspecting students as agents for their writing companies. Some of these students even get recruited as writers later on. It is interesting to see that the foundation of this program came out of Old Europe. Steer clear of these sorts of writing companies. You will pay for it dearly in the end.

I have heard that clients these days find a cost per page of $20 too expensive. They may the inquiries then ghost the writers after they learn that they cannot get the paper for a pittance. Guys, you have to remember, you get what you pay for. A company that will charge you $2 per page or less is definitely going to be a scam. Either the company will do a bait and switch or, the company will use an in-house AI generator to produce a useless paper for you. Human written essays, properly written essay, will cost upwards of $20 per page. You pay for the quality of the work instead of the speed by which if can be delivered when you hire a human writer.

Do not fall for affiliate fees promises. The company will not pay you an affiliate fee regardless of the number of clients you bring in. That is why the amount promised for payout is impossible to achieve. It would be better for you to just use their services and leave it at that. You can make your money as somewhere else that is more reputable. It is usually the scam companies that end up blackmailing the students in the future that engage in that sort of affiliate business.

The opening of the new school year in Asia has brought about an onslaught of new academic writing companies and freelance writers over at Facebook. They pay for ad boosting which is why your feed could be filled with their spam if you are known as a student user to FB. I would not trust the companies that reach to me via social media. I would always much rather prefer that I contact the writer, who should not have a social media account. The ones found on social media can easily make contact with you and find out things about your academic life that they can use to blackmail you in the future. Never make your writer your friend. That is not what they are there for. Once you discuss and complete the project via Messenger, block and delete that person so avoid any future problems and, as always, use a one time email account for that purpose.

While the company did have such strong and staunch defenders at this forum, the reality and the truth of who and what the company actually is came to the front when it finally shut its doors and placed the domain name up for sale. This is not a recent occurrence. They shut their doors several years ago. However, the domain name still remains up for takers to this day. The truth about the darkness behind the way they run their company became the ghost that they just could not get away from and forced them to leave the academic writing business for good.

Fiverr is fast becoming an outsourcing of the outsourced site. What I mean is, there are actually some writers who use Fiverr to create their writing teams for certain large scale company projects, which they bid on and win as an individual project, then they put together a team that will actually do the work for them. The project is supposed to be for an individual but that is not what happens. Normally the person will hire someone from a cheap labor country to assist him with the work. By assist I mean he will be paid a pittance to complete the project for the actual contract holder. So be careful when hiring someone from that freelancing site. You may not get the kind of quality that you expect.

While there are companies out there that claim to have human writers work on the PhD papers of their clients, most of them will mislead you into thinking that their writers actually have the level of education that you are looking for. Do not be deceived. You have to understand that these companies will try to get your business using the bait and switch tactic. It is important that you actually speak to the writer you will be working with. If possible, make a phone call to the writer and judge if he can pull off the kind of paper that you need. There are several freelancers available here whom a student can directly contact, off the forum, for such services.

The company ended, not just the story. That is a good thing since the company was too small to actually run an academic writing company in a manner that would assure the student of a quality written paper. They had only a handful of ESL writers in their writing pool, which meant low quality papers were being churned out. Their QA was non existent and they rarely refunded papers even after repeated negotiations to do so. It was one of the biggest scams while it existed.

Essay Services / Is "ownessays.com" a scam? [7]

Pay only if you like the essay? They are running a losing business using that model. All the students can claim they do not like the paper and ask for a refund. I am not sure what a reputable and reliable company would make such a promise to a potential client. That is almost like saying "Take the paper for free". I do not believe a business should be run that way since there are students who would take advantage of this assurance in a hit and run manner.

I wish that this commendation thread would keep going. I am sure that there are more students out there who benefited from the existence of ES. It is the one company that can be relied upon to let the students know what is really going on both in the old and emerging world of academic writing. Even as AI takes the front stage, there are still human writers that can be relied upon should the students wish to have one, through this platform. The bad actors have been leaving and I hope. that when the smoke clears, only the good non AI writers will remain.

I heard that this company no longer exists because they could not pay their writers. The owners were greedy and did not really concern themselves with setting aside any funds for the writers salary. They paid the writers that they wanted to pay and let the others suffer. They paid the writers they liked and did not pay the writers that did not sit well with them for some reason. Anyway, the company no longer exists which is good for the students but I bet that they did not pay back dues to the writers that they let go without advance notice.

The company no longer exists and for good reason. They were not really a reliable company to begin with. Their writers were mediocre and their method of doing business was shady. Specially when it came to the refund front. I heard horror stories about this company in the past that you would not believe. It is important to note that their business model was so bad, they did not need the help of AI to tank their company. Their bad business practices did them in.

Essay writing companies never struggled. Not even during the pandemic. They were raking in the money like it was falling from trees during the fall. There was no limit to the money they could make until AI came around and really disrupted the system. These days, the companies are lucky to clear a hundred thousand in one quarter. Google Ads does not pay like it used to either so they are really struggling to stay afloat these days instead of swimming in money.

The url now returns a server not found error. We are in luck. This tremendously bad academic writing company was doing such a disservice to students that it is considered a blessing that they no longer exist as a company. However, I heard that they did not pay their writers for the work that was done until the company closed. That is a different kind of low. They should have paid the writers because the writers worked until the last day when the company shut its doors without telling them.

While American education is on the decline in the grammar and high school levels, I would not say that the tertiary educational system is also in a downward spiral. There is a misconception that the American writers are illiterate because of the volume of immigrant students in the system. These are the ones who often turn the academic writing later on. They are the ones that do not have a good grasp of the English language and then dare to enter the academic writing profession.

Writing Careers / Stay Away From Livingston Research [15]

Livingston Research claims to have an open writer hiring policy these days but their requirements are not easily achievable for both the ENL and ESL writers. So I think they are playing a game here. Last I heard, they do not have any more human writers onboard and have been relying on AI writing, without openly admitting it because their clients still expect humans on the other end. If this is true then they are fooling only themselves. They will lose their remaining clients once the clients figure out that the cost being charged is for brainless writing instead of human logic.

The lists previously mentioned a mix of both active and inactive academic writing companies. These lists include companies that have openly admitted, on their website, to also offering AI written content. This is their cheaper option for short term orders or, if the student would like to have a paper written by AI. They do not mention the human option since it is their default writing service. Since we cannot trust their human writers, I guess the AI option would be the best option for the student.

I agree. You are lucky to not have submitted the work yet. You can still make revisions that may be indicative of your having had writing help. While you said that you did not use their paper, I take that to mean that you did not copy and paste it. Rather, you used it as a reference and used your own words to state the information. That is a move that totally eliminates any claim that they might make on your paper. Just ignore them. They will stop when they see that you will not play their game.

Consider that academic writing companies these days charge students to have their papers written by AI and you will immediately realize why hiring a company these days is not really advisable. While some companies openly admit to using AI as a part of their sales pitch on their websites, some claim to not use the technology, without knowing that their writers are actually using AI to complete the papers without the consent of the company nor the student. Therefore, it becomes clear that the winner in this situation is the independent writer. The student can be fully assured that he will not be using AI to complete his paper. An independent writer relies on referrals to keep his business afloat, so lying about how the paper will be written will not be beneficial to him.

Some students use plagiarism detectors when they buy essays from academic writing companies. They do not trust the plagiarism report that the companies provide. So they run the risk of submitting their essay to a system that their professor might submit their essay for checking to. So they end up self plagiarizing in the process. The simplest thing to do is not check the paper for plagiarism. Trust the provided report and trust your writer to have written you an original essay. This is specially true when you hire an independent writer to complete your work.

Net neutrality seems to be a bigger problem in the 21st century as it relates to education. Countries across the world, regardless of their economic status, still struggles with providing reliable internet service to their citizens. Even Starlink is not all it is hyped up to be. It is just an expensive shiny toy. In the US, the data infrastructure is starting to disintegrate and nobody seems to be in charge of fixing it. Yes, there are still states and counties that struggle with connectivity and keeping their state internet structure up and running. Laws are no longer looking into net neutrality these days. I think it has lost all its hype at this point.

I think that thecasesolutions.com will struggle in selling their case study papers these days. Why will a student spend to gain access to case studies, even at a discounted price, when they can always do a free Google search for those cases or, even have Gemini do the research for them and come back with better written case studies for the student? These companies need to get with the times and analyze how they can survive in the age of AI. What service can they offer that AI cannot provide? That is the enigma for everyone in the academic assistance market these days.

Funny how this company cannot admit that they do not have enough writing orders to go around. They have kept their online application form link active but it redirects to a "freeze hiring" page that tells you to fill out the form and wait for an invitation too apply. They claim this is because the "hot season" is over. We know that is not the truth. The reality is that they have been affected by the advent of AI academic writing as well. Since their writers were no gems to begin with, they are unable to keep a steady flow of orders from regular clients at the moment. The just might be the next ones to close shop.

Well, paperduenow.com seems to still be active in the business. That is not to say that the company is doing well though. If I were the student, I would not be comfortable hiring a company that would "evolutionize" my way of writing. I just want them to write the paper, I need the writer to write in a manner similar to mine so my professor will remain oblivious to the fact that I hired someone to write my paper for me. Students these days already have enough problems trying to prove to their teachers that they did not buy a previously written paper, use AI to develop the paper, nor did they hire someone to write the paper for them. All things considered, even with all the tech surrounding students these days, they have more problems with academic honesty than we did during our time in school.

Well, it appears that the website did not have a chance of surviving anyway. It is totally offline and I do not believe that it came back in any other incarnation. The company that owned the site did not even generate enough traffic for the domain to catch the interest of the offshore gaming companies. So the company must have done a lousy job at marketing itself as an academic writing company.

Essay writing companies seem to have kept these prices as the reflected prices on their websites. What they do is, they adjust the costs downward using coupons and special offers. This is something that they do in the hopes of attracting the clients that come to their site to sign up for the services. There is no sure way of pricing essays these days. There are both professional and personal considerations to factor into the pricing per page already. So I would have to agree that these essays are priced on a case to case basis, depending upon the length of time that a client has been working with the writer.

The worst rate I ever received was $5 for SEO writing. The idea was to have me write 100 sentences using several words X number of times. It was not an easy task and I only took the job because I was new to the company and was out to prove myself. That and the company did not really open up the well priced orders to the new writers upon entry. The best cost per page that I received was $100 per page for a 200 page college thesis. The turn around time was 2 days so you can understand why the rate was sky high per page.

There are several factors that should be considered when pricing an essay. The difficulty of the topic involved, the types of sources required, the number of pages, the number of words, the possibility for revisions, the need to create a plagiarism report, the travel time and expenses (should the essay require a visit to the museum, going to the movies, etc.) should all be part of the computation when sending a price quote. It should not be based on the page count or word count alone. These are the considerations that come into play along with the deadline chosen by the client. The sooner the deadline, the more premium the price.

The focus of the academic writing industry investigations these days has shifted from deep dives into the academic writing companies. The educational system is now more focused on preventing students from using Ai to complete their academic work. Most video and radio documentaries now discuss how to prevent the students from relying too much on Ai to address their academic needs. I guess the change in investigation topics is indicative of the changing times.

I know of 2 actual companies that still appreciate the quality of a human written essay and reflect the same in the payment of their writers. However, these 2 would be the exception to the rule since most academic writing companies are struggling these days. They often owe their writers back wages due to the lack of orders and high overhead cost of running the business. There are some companies that owe up to one quarter of back pay to their writers. So working for an academic writing company these days may not be ideal. It is not that the students are not willing to spend to have their essays written for them. It is that the students are willing to pay for an automated version of their essays to be produced. Although this does not produce well written and researched essays, the students prefer that over having to deal with the writing companies and their writers directly. That is why the companies are struggling to make ends meet these days.

Essay Services / reliable thesis writing service [29]

There are thesis writing services that aggressively advertise their services on social media platforms and they seem to be doing a good job at recruiting clients that way. Recruitment is one thing, the quality of service that they provide is another. I cannot speak for the experience of the students that hire these services. I cannot even be sure that the testimonials provided are from actual students and not their paid reviewers. Anyway, if you want to try out a writing service, then you can look towards social media for clues and then judge their reliability from there. Otherwise, you can always try to source independent writers who can offer top notch and value for money services at this forum.

While nothing beats the abilities of a human proofreader in the native language that the essay was written in, there are also several apps and websites that can help a student proof read his essay, without any additional cost. Grammarly is the first site/app that comes to my mind. Then of course, there are the AI proofreaders that students enjoy using, but leave the essay worse off than when it started after its automated proofreading. A non native English speaker would even do a better job at proofreading than the AI.

These days professors assume that they essays are plagiarized via AI and make the students prove they did not plagiarize it. Some have taken to no longer providing homework and instead, having the students write their papers, using pen and ink, in the classroom, even if it takes all week. That is the only way the professors think they can stop plagiarism via AI or pre-written essays. Even with all the anti plagiarism software available today, a teacher can no longer be sure that the paper is truly original. No matter what the software says.

The biggest competition writers have nowadays are not fellow writers, but AI. AI is the writer of choice for the new generation of students. It is the reason why independent writers are struggling and writing companies are going out of business. We should be banding together and united instead of bickering and stealing clients from one another. We need to make a united stand and work together to figure out a way to defeat AI so that academic writing can go back to the writers who can actually do a better job than AI for the students.

The company has ceased to exist under this domain name for some time now. I has not been connected to a server since the name expired some time ago. It did not have a proper business model to start out with and the fact that the market was saturated at the time may have added to their marketing woes.

Essay writing companies are finding it hard to run their regular scams these days. They are trying to keep their clients happy by at least providing the work in a decent manner instead of scamming them upfront. Even the blackmailers are sort of lying low these days since they are losing out to AI generated essays. Let's face it, AI killed the scam companies, writers, and any other scam acts they could think of. They can't scam a student of the student client does not exist.

The title of this thread is sad as far as I am concerned. The academic writing world did not follow a path that we could have predicted all those years ago. The battle used to be between ENL and ESL writers. One of the groups would eventually become the supreme leaders of the academic writing industry. Then the battle became ENL v. ESL v. AI. Who would have predicted an outcome where the machine would be the eventual victor in the battle? Where we thought AI could not win because of its lack of logic and other human writing abilities, we did not see that because humans wanted to improve the program, that it would eventually become so good, it has all but taken over all of the writing jobs in various fields.

The company tries to look like a shiny red apple via its website. They look professional. They sound professional. They make professional claims and promises. It is a website that could be trusted by a student on a superficial basis. One has to look deeper into the company though to realize that they have always failed to meet client expectations and needs. There is no way that this company will manage to stay in business any longer.

I try to respect the international data privacy laws by not asking for too much information from my writers. This was back when I was still an active writer and I had a small pool of writers in my employ. I just asked for the email account related to their payment information. Other than that, all they had to do was pass the hiring test and they were on their way to becoming my colleague at work.

Since Gmail is the most common email service on the web, it is not going to be easy to stop Kenyans, Algerians, and other nationalities from generating their email accounts using the free email service. It is not like GMail investigates the background of the people that sign up for their service. They are happy enough with getting the personal and other data of the person signing up. As long as Google does not mind how their email accounts are used, there is nothing we can do to stop the fraud that emanates from the use of the gmail account.
